good area

The staff was very friendly. The room looked just like the picture and was spacious. However there were gnats everywhere. On the headboard, in the fridge, on the ceiling. I have bites from head to toe within the first hour. My parents stayed in a separate room next to mine n only had a few gnats. Both of the tv's in our rooms did not work because the wifi was not strong enough. We stayed for 3days n had no tv. When we called about the gnats and the tv the staff member said the wifi just wasnt good there was nothing they can do and as far as the gnats they had no other rooms available. The room was clean and the pool area was nice. Very close to boardwalk. Over all was an OK place but would really have liked a tv to watch in the evening to relax n to not be eaten alive by gnats.

Everyone was very nice. The rooms were small but perfect for 2 or 3. They offer a free breakfast as well. I would stay again. Close and easy to get to everything.

The location is very good. The staffs are nice. But the unacceptable thing is they don’t provide a hair dryer.

So scary to have stayed here with my children. The deadbolt didn’t work. The shower makes a loud whistling noise, the windows had now shades so I had to stuff my towels in them. We had room 18 and it’s in the corner so no actually light gets to it and all you hear are the cleaning ladies talking late at night and early. The WiFi was terrible. We will never stay here. We’ve stayed at waves multiple times so I didn’t think it would be so different. I will say it was very clean in the room!

Very helpful stuff

My family of 4 just had a great 4 night stay here! I was nervous after reading some reviews but we enjoyed our stay! Rooms are small but we were there just to sleep. Staff was super nice and helpful. Sometimes we had to leave our car key for parking, but they were quick to move cars out of the way if we needed ours. The location was great, very close to boardwalk and restaurants. The kids loved the pool and we were surprised there was a breakfast option in the morning! It wasnt anything fancy but cereal, coffee, juice,toast,muffins, and eggs, perfect for something quick before heading to the beach. We would definitely book here, again!

Room was not ready on time, the shower door came off track and trapped my 7yr old in the shower. Drugs were being done out in the open on the balcony, staff was rude breakfast was a joke!!! Don’t stay here!!

No washcloths, nowhere to put the soap in the shower. Kids allowed to play loud music at the pool on Sunday morning. My fault for not knowing the area. I should’ve researched more before booking. At $400 a night, there are so many other options I should’ve considered.

We had a okay stay here but it was a little less attractive than in the photos. Additionally, there is a quiet time from 10 am-10 pm and there were rowdy guests out past midnight screaming and causing a scene. This resulted in a large fight and the police being called at 1 am. No one from the property stopped the prior disturbance or the later fight. Also, someone in a nearby room was smoking marijuana frequently. This was a placed filled with small children and young kids. Nothing was done about it as well. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again- I would pay more to stay somewhere more regulated and attended by a staff.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Tropicana motel and I must say it is excellent. The motel itself is modern with stylish decor. The room I stayed in was clean, and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom was also impressive with a comfortable shower. In terms of location, the Tropicana motel is conveniently situated near various restaurants, shops, and entertainment options. It is walking distance from the boardwalk. Overall, my experience at the Tropicana motel was excellent. The combination of outstanding service, good accommodations, and convenient location made for a truly memorable.

It's ok

Staff was very friendly the facility was clean and safe area love the walking distance from the motel to the boardwalk and beach it is the best motel I’ve stayed.

So close to the beach! Room is smaller than I thought but we didn't need that much room! Free breakfast was kind of disappointing but it was free! Overall great experience! Love it!

The room was clean a little small but it was comfortable. Only thing I had a problem with is the shower ceiling was cracked look like it was going to fall down and the smoke alarm kept going off when there was no smoke detected. Other then those two things everything was good the boardwalk was very close to walk to, stores and eatery’s was close to walk to as well.

We were skeptical to book this hotel considering other reviews. However it was very nice not outdated nor did it smell. Great place for a great buck, I highly recommend staying here, Staff at the front desk were super helpful. It’s a short walk to the beach which was a plus. Super impressed, looks just like the photos! Parking is the only downside easy to get blocked in.

I stayed here for a few nights off-season as one of the two guests they had at the time. There were cracks in the window to my room, there was no deadbolt, deadlock, or chain lock on my door which was a bit concerning. There was no cleaning service, and the overnight staff seemed confused about how to check me in. They collected my car keys the first night but then didn't the rest of the time. I tried extending my stay for a night and they increased the price by $50 for the night, despite it being off season and they clearly needed the business. I ended up leaving and found much better accommodations at the Adventurer Oceanfront Hotel (great off-season prices).

Parking was horrible, very loud, shower was super loud (like screaming), staff member was on the phone the whole time he was supposed to help me. Room was cheap and girl was nice and helped with things. Breakfast was good. Pretty much what you expect for the price. Wouldn’t pay more than 350 for 3 nights tho.

Quaint, clean, good service, and conveniently located 1 block from he boardwalk and beach.

Staff was available after midnight to ensure I was bow to get in after a very long drive. Super helpful and friendly

The rooms are outdated but impeccably clean, the staff was super nice and the location was great.

We spent 3 nights from 9/14/23 - 9/16/23. 2 adults, 2 children. The room was clean and tidy. The kids loved the pool even though I thought it was a bit small. Having said that, the pool was very kids friendly. Everyone was very kind and pleasant. 1 1/2 block from boardwalk, perfect!!!! A short, nice walk to the Convention Center. (I attended the Firemans Convention). We had a really great time and enjoyed staying at the Tropicana Motel. Highly recommend>

Staff was excellent. Family run, very kind. Rooms needed some TLC, but it seems maybe they are taking it bit by bit because it was new flooring. The beds were comfortable and the fridge was decent size so we could actually fit food in it. Black out curtains were fabulous. Thank you!

It was close to the broadwalk

Our room was ready early and they got us right in when we arrived, very good location for walking to boardwalk/beach, staff very friendly at front desk.
