Great veiw and staff

I was very impressed with this hotel. It was very clean and well maintained. Front desk was very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I had a pleasant stay at Gateway Hotel are room was clean and the staff was all friendly. It’s a short walk to the boardwalk which we loved.

They don’t offer breakfast free, anymore .

My family stayed here with a 2 year old. The room was clean and ready for check in when we arrived. It was close to the boardwalk just across the street. It is hard crossing the street so I would suggest you cross at the light. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

This hotel has stellar service and is conveniently located right next to the boardwalk and amusement park. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. My only gripe is that the rooms are noticeably humid when you first walk in before you get used to it. No amount of AC seems to get rid of this humidity.

The hotel was amazing and the customer service eas even better. The beds, however, were rough. It made for a rough sleep. Overall, based on everything it was a great experience.

Loved the balcony with an ocean view, and the staff and facilities were great.

I was very pleased with this hotel. It was very clean and updated. I walked through the lobby to find them cleaning multiple times a day. Even the bathroom I felt was spotless. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The pool was very nice. My only complaint would be with the parking. It is horrendous. I parked my car at the end of the lot thinking it would make getting in and out easier. It was not. I had a very difficult time getting my suv out of the spot even with the help of a family member and the back up camera on my vehicle. The parking spots are only suitable for compact cars.

2 stars only for the nice and informative gentleman that checked us in. However, booking this hotel is honestly such a risk and you should probably book elsewhere. Upon checking in we dropped off our bags and went right to the boardwalk. Afterwards, we return to the room and find the balcony door and curtain absolutely covered in ants. I’m not talking about a few, I’m talking about all over and crawling all over. We go to the front desk to see what can be done as we honestly were not comfortable sleeping in an ant infested room. While the gentleman that checked us in provided us a good experience, I can say the complete opposite about the gentleman working the night shift this past weekend. The man told us that “sleeping with ants is just what you do with every hotel in Ocean City”. That’s honestly got to be one of the craziest things I’ve ever heard. Furthermore, the man continued to be very condescending and made unnecessary comments saying “good luck finding another place to stay cuz you’re not going to find anything” and “I’m just here to clock in and clock out”. He clearly thought that our situation was comical and could honestly care less about what could be done. We hope that we get our promised refund as we searched for a new hotel, packed our things, and headed to a new hotel at midnight. If you don’t mind sleeping with ants or receiving an attitude of a response if assistance is needed then maybe this place is a solid stay for you.

We picked this hotel for the free breakfast, one last thing to worry about. But there was NO breakfast at all. So we had to set out everyday early to fuel our day. The safe were all Friendly and knowledgeable about the area

Got room key. Room wasn’t ready. Had too go get another room. Real pain in ass after long drive. No towels in room at all. Another trip too front deck. Went out for a few hours came back and room keys didn’t work. Back too front desk we go. Other than that decent stay. Three strikes your out!

Check in was delayed by 30 minutes, the hotel was old and not updated. The bed was old and lumpy. A lot of street noise all night. I would never stay there again. A gym with two pieces of equipment. Not up to my standards.

We have never stayed at Gateway Hotel & Suites before but after searching for years for a place that we could book year after year we have finally found that place in Gateway Hotel & Suites this place impressed my wife & me with their cleanliness very friendly staff neat room's,clean hallways and when I mentioned the shower curtain rod was slightly off the wall the front desk jumped into action and called the repair man and with in 10 minutes he was in the room and fixed it in 15 minutes this was impressive! We will not book anywhere else from now on! I would like to Thank the staff members for doing a terrific job and the room service ladies for doing a great job at actually doing their job Thank you ladies the owner of this establishment should be very proud of these employees they are all well mannered hard working people

Hotel was beautiful and clean although my room did a moldy smell but was tolerable. Needed to add extra days and they were very accommodating. Close to boardwalk and beach!

Hotel is a nice place but surrounding area is a little noisy during the night can hear in room. Second floor right near the pool was awesome!

This was a great choice of a place to stay. The only negative which isnt their fault , is the tight parking spaces. I left my swimsuit top there accidentally on vacation and Josh the front desk worker helped me get it back. I had many dumb questions too and he answered. Ill definitely come back with my family.

Our overall stay at Gateway was wonderful. Super clean, amazing staff, and a great location. My only complaint is the parking situation. If you’re traveling and staying here, drive a compact car for easier parking. The balconies also offer no privacy, but this was not a big deal, just something to keep in mind. Overall, we would stay here again! Carole & Christian were wonderful!
