Clean, large rooms in a quiet area near a beautiful beach. Staff are super friendly and accommodating.

The one-bedroom apartment worked out great for our family. The bed was comfortable and neighbors mostly quiet during the quiet hours. Beach was a short walk away and staff attentive. Kitchen was equipped for cooking and the unit world well overall. Would recommend.

It was ok, just expecting a little nicer from advertised photos. It’s not really a hotel, more like serviced apartments. However, staff were friendly and informative, speaking really good English. I feel the accommodation doesn’t reflect the cost.

The property was clean but the air conditioning was not working on several occasions and the balxony door would not cloae properly and they electrics kept blowing a fuse not always able to cook in kitchen

The property is very clean but lacks any real amenities eg like a restaurant or communal relaxing areas. Also the pool in the pictures is not this hotels!! There is a pool but it is quite small

Pleasent stay in the Residence. We have stayed in superior 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor. The appartment was very nice and very clean. Decent Wi Fi. Split is only 10 minutes away driving. We went to very nice restaurant on the top of the hill called Konoba Argola. Just a shame about public beach area.

Food was great but a little pricey with drinks and food costing almost double that of Split prices. Having said that we enjoyed the relaxed vibe and we were only there for 3 days.

Not for beach goers. Not the hotel pictured on the website- the tennis courts, the large pool, the fitness center and The beach chairs- all belong to Le Meridian- the hotel pictured- you have to pay 200 kuna per person per day for a chair and use of facilities if you do not stay in their hotel. Something The Residence does not disclose. The small brown colored hotel in the left corner is actually The Residence. The rooms they show on their website is NOT the room we got. Very out dated with a very tiny pool about 20 people can fit at. It was a bed and a kitchen, so it filled one purpose. I recommend staying elsewhere. There is not a lot to do in Podstrana, so be prepared to travel if you do stay here.

The hotel was lovely. Everything was nicely kept and clean. There are several great restaurant within walking distance that are cheaper then the main town. We like Life's a Beach and Fabios Pizza. There are some stairs that will take you up to the street for the cheaper, more local restaurants. We did a couple different tours and it was nice because the boats would pick up us up at on site marina. Everything was very convenient. The photo is from sunrise at marina while we waited for boat.

The pool is very small but it didn't matter to us. Short walk to the beach and harbour. Room has a lovely view and very clean. The hotel was quiet and the windows had remote shutters to keep out the light in the morning. Would definitely come back.

As per the title the Residence is more serviced apartments than a hotel, but that is definitely a good thing.The rooms are huge, well equipped and very clean.The staff are excellent.The hotels own pool is small, but fine. Well worth paying by the week to use the pool and spa facilities of Le Meridian next door.

Everything was very good except the pool. In the picture it looks a lot bigger than it is. Its very small and not deeper than appx 1 meter.

Very nice hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. If you are booking in the early season (-> June) make sure that the amenities are accessible and opened for the season. The room we had (top floor apartment) was amazing with separate bedrooms, awesome terrace and a view overlooking the water. We stayed as a family of four where the kids primarily wanted swimming pool and beach access; we bought an additional Spa membership at the adjacent hotel and the kids had a blast. Easy to walk between The Residence and the adjacent Le Meridien to use its restaurants, bars, etc. Can highly recommend and would stay again!

The room was not anything like the description online when booked. For a bit more, we would have stayed longer at the hotel next door (Le Meridien). We changed to the Residence on our last night and regretted it. It wasn't much more to stay at Le Meridien and the hotel amenities as well as rooms were 100% better.

Firstly i booked the wrong dates and the lady at reception were very helpful to accommodate us. The apartment itself was very big modern and clean. 110 kuna to split and walking distance to the beach and a few restaurants. Another added bonus was the option to use the pool and spa at the Meridien next door. For the price of the stay it would be hard to beat.

The residence is in the central location of podstrana, which is a 30 min drive from airport. The apartment itself is of a high standard and very modern. The apartments is id say a cast off from the bigger La Meridian hotel which is next door, but does offer everything should you need it and also everything is within walking distance from shops, cafes and local bars.

We found the apartment an excellent combination of hotel convenience (helpful staff; breakfast brought to your room; bins emptied; towels changed every day) with self-catering comforts (we prepared breakfasts, lunches and dinners at home and space for plenty of ice cream in the freezer!). We had lots of room in a two bed apartment which made for a comfortable holiday for a family, allowing different spaces within the apartment to relax - much more homely than a hotel room. The balcony was nice to have but as the beaches (pebble) were only 5 minutes walk away we didn't use it much. The kitchen was well equipped. The air con kept us cool; it was handy to choose to have it on in either the living/dining space and/or the bedrooms. The on site swimming pool was small and shallow so, good for those with young children but no real space for a proper swim, but again, we strolled to the sea for that. It was also possible to pay a small charge to use the neighbouring hotel's spa but we didn't need it. We tried several different meals out within 10 minutes walk ranging from £5 for a pizza at one to £27 for a bottle of wine at another and all were good. The biggest plus point was the helpful staff - they all spoke English and helped us with different queries every day- where do we get the bus to split; how do we get internet; can we order breakfast; which boat trips would you recommend; how do we pay for parking... all greeted with smiles and clear explanations!
