Third motel 6 I’ve stayed at on this trip to a few states and this was the most expensive yet the worst condition of them all! For a budget price you obviously don’t expect 5 stars but basic cleanliness is a standard. Rooms had small black hairs in the bed/fridge. Changed rooms twice and all three rooms had hairs in. The bathrooms had small flies in. The staff member on the front desk was helpful enough and changed my room when I politely said I wasn’t happy and even came up to the third room with me where I pointed out the hairs again, asked could I just stay the one night and get a refund on the second so I could stay somewhere else. Was told no worries but the next morning I was told my booking was non refundable by another on the desk and there were no managers around. I just said I would stay and would he please get the sheets changed they kindly said would sort it. I came back that night to freshly changed sheets with hairs and now a big stain on the sheet. Giving this review so people can see before booking. The staff were nice to deal with but a shame they would not refund me so I could go somewhere else. Complimentary water is a nice touch. Motel 6 easy for us as sibling travel we were guaranteed two beds and the parkings great at these places. Stayed in a La Quinta inn by Wyndham after this for less money and it was great with shampo/hairdryer/coffee machine/gym/pool and the room was clean. The hotel is overpriced and cleaning needs improving. Wouldn’t recommend.

one nighter business trip

Motel 6 Monterery Park was the worst ever, they dont even keep your " reservation" past 7pm, Michael with Motel 6 even called en route and i comfirmed i would arrive 10pm, when i did arrive they had given away my room, "reservation to someone else

Horrible experience

Check in begins at 2pm, on the app it states that check in ends at midnight, it the hotel called me around 4:30pm threatening to cancel my reservation if I didn’t check in before 6pm, after tho my reservation was paid for in full.. so we were rushed to do what we were doing to get out to Monterey park by 6pm, we literally got there like 3 mins shy, ice machine was broken, little ice tub to get ice was dirty, like disrespectful dirty but it didn’t matter because machine was broken, overall nice place, 15 mins away from Olvera st and downtown LA, would go again

I has a good stay but the floor was so incredibly dirty and the bedding was all white. I have dogs at hone and my feet dont get as dirty as they did in this room. The rest of the stay was fine, but because the floor was so dirty, the cleanliness of the rest of the room concerned me. I think the cleaning crew is doing the bare minimum and just does enough to look clean but is not actually clean. Not to mention the cleaning crew didn’t realize I spoke spanish and they were talking badly about me in front of me, thinking I am white and probably didnt know what they were saying.

Awful experience, gross room. Woke up in the middle of the night and had to leave due to geting bug bites. Found multiple bus in the room. Room smelled like pee. The workers were very friendly. I understand this is a Motel 6 but i have been to many others with no issues like this. I already contacted customer support for a refund. We had to leave at around 12am and find a different place to stay.

The restroom have many baby cockroaches running around. It was unpleasant and doesn’t make you feel comfortable. The A/C was unstable with the temperature in the room

My stay was a weekend getaway. The room was ok, the mattress was a little saggy and the window shutters didn't stay open. Otherwise it was quiet and peaceful.

Terrible decision stay at this motel, 11pm police arrested the next door guest, lots of guns drawn, and only 3” plaster walls separation, thanks God This was only a bad experience, LAPD officers were helpful finding a decent hotel, please stay away if you value your safety, that and the unfriendly attitude of the staff at checking in, to the owner: lot of room to improve

Clean friendly staff

We were assigned to a room and the room was dirty (used underwear under the sink, skid marks in the toilet, stained linens). The front desk moved us to another room but did not seem concerned nor did they apologize for the inconvenience.

The room was ok but the area not so much

I enjoyed the convenience of this location. It wasn’t too far from the fwy entrance. Experience was overall pleasant for our travel since we only used our space for sleep and we had a good sleep all 3 nights. The only downside was cleanliness which I think the room itself was in good condition but bathroom and walls needed a good deep clean.

Was nice enough for our intention of just sleeping in it. Linens were clean and room was mostly clean.

Everything was fine just a lot of noise on top of the room ! Kids playing outside without supervision!

We did not like that the door locks were broken and the floors were super dirty. We walked around in socks and/or barefoot and our feet were black.

Motel 6 management allows homeless people and thugs on property. Rooms smell like dog crap. Issues with lack of hot water. Issues with internet signal. Too expensive. Beds have pet hair...terrible.
