Very friendly staff, clean and proximity to centre

Bed smelled of dog, low roof.

Easy parking and great for an overnight stay on our way to see Verdun battle sights. Quiet location away from city center.

Our receptionist was very friendly and brought us tea when my husband was unwell. The room and en suite were clean. The shower flooded the bathroom floor. It is a very noisy road at the front. Breakfast was sufficient and excellent value.

I probably would have called the place acceptable if it weren't for the mold on the ceiling in the bedroom area. The open shower left the bathroom a soaking mess.

Nice place to stay in to visit Verdun and the countryside

The staff was very pleasant. The hotel is dated and tired. Room had a musty smell. Breakfast was average.

Very friendly front desk person, Samuel. He sent us to a great local restaurant that we never would have found on our own. Good value and a great breakfast!

Rooms far too small; even by European standards. Small hallways with twisting stairs and lights set on a timer that often resulted in moving in total darkness. Serious physical security and safety issues - the lock plates had external screws and you could see where at least one had been removed. Excellent staff

Property is older, could use some cleaning. Had breakfast but was limited in selections.

This is not a luxury hotel. But it was clean and the staff was very helpful. They even arranged for us to have some laundry done. Breakfast was available, and there were several restaurants in walking distance. The biggest negative was the lack of an elevator, but it was not a huge problem. We would definitely stay there again.

The girl at the front desk was pretty, and spoke good English. But I broke up with my girlfriend, for choosing such a rundown hotel, even though I let her choose it, for the location. The area was great for a history buff like me, But next time I would stay in a different hotel. She was a good girlfriend.

Perfect overnight for road trip

Comfortable, old fashioned, adequate breakfast good parking attentive staff and family room big enough

Mine was a one night stay en route to Germany. This hotel is on the outskirts of Verdun which means it was very quiet, resulting in an excellent nights sleep. The facilities as fairly basic but totally adequate for what I needed. It was a short drive to everywhere I might want to see. The reception staff were charming and very helpful. Very good value.

The People were very friendly. The Equipment is simple. but acceptable for a short visit. Only the smell in the bathroom was terrible.

Basis need were fulfil. Comfortable room. Quiet stay. Friendly staff.

Didn't expect much so wasn't disappointed. Close to the battle sites, no restaurant in hotel. Could do with coffee and tea making facilities, and a small fridge.

Suitable for budget conscious families. We had 5 and it worked well for us. Handy to the world war one battlefields.

This hotel is located in a small village about 8km from the Normandy beaches. The hotel itself is built inside a 12th century market so it has more than a bit of old world charm. The restaurant and hotel are staffed and operated by the owner/chef and his twin sons. The restaurant was completely full on a weekday evening but the service and meal were superb - the best we had during our 12-day tour. The room was larger - we had 4 people with plenty of room. Bathroom OK. Room was cool without AC thanks to the 2-foot thick stone walls. Will definitely stay here next time we are in the area. It is not 5-star comfort but we don't travel to spend time in our hotel room and the rest of the experience was outstanding!

Has a nice feel of small town France. Quiet location, but not central. Room large, by European standards. Nice to sleep with a window open. Simple, yet adequate breakfast.
