The hotel was adequate the staff was excellent. Had a problem because of the card they were given was declined so hotels.com needs to do something about that it was not the first time. Not the hotels fault the manager took care of the problem fast.

This hotel is an excellent place to stay at if you are wanting to stay close to the Texas Tech University. The hotel looks and smells clean. The room was a nice size and looked very clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Excellent place to stay at for a very good price. Highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Female manager at checkin is a miserable person. She was very abrupt and not friendly. She was the same about 3 weeks ago. I don’t think she has a personal problem at home. I just think she hates her job. I am not staying for free. I am paying for a room therefore I expect her to pretend to be nice.

I tried to cancel this reservation and go elsewhere as prices evened out over the weekend. But it was too late to do so. The hotel appears to be not that great. Our room however was clean and okay. Facilities are pretty dated, and based on reviews and what we saw, it really depends on the room you get. We stayed Friday, a day where the manager said they had 15-20 extra rooms open compared to Saturday. So we think they put us in one of the better rooms. Hotel staff was not very knowledgeable of shuttle details, and were hard to understand. Heavy accents and no articulation. I’m sorry to say that, but it was true. The elevator sounds like it was gonna come crashing down. Overall, we were fine and our room we stayed in felt clean. Like I said, the reviews aren’t lying, it’s a gamble on how your experience will be based off of the room you get!

Front desk was unfriendly. Hotel was run down. Room bathroom door that Was falling apart. Fist pump hole on inside of bathroom door, probably due to the lock for the bathroom door being on The outside of the bathroom door. Someone probably got locked in there and couldn’t get out. Free breakfast is a first come first serve. If you don’t go before 8 AM there won’t be anything left. Had room right next to an exit door, which would rattle my door making it sound like someone was trying to get into my room. All in all I will not be staying there again. For $169 a night this place was not up to par.

They gave me a room that had a kitchenette. I stepped on debris in the floor. When I woke up the next morning, there was a cockroach on the wall next to the bed.

Staff was very accommodating with the late check in. Once we arrived in the room it was very humid. Turned the AC down but it didn’t do anything about the humidity in the room. Sheets, pillows, furniture and walls felt wet. Woke up with clothes soaking wet, wet hair and suitcases felt wet.

I would venture to say this building has been there for a long time. They have certainly made updates and it isn't bad, it just smells like an old motel. It was clean but the AC unit had a hard time regulating the temp, and likely needs to be cleaned- which would help the stagnant air odor.

The room was clean and quiet. Checkin was quick and easy. Did not use amenities. Breakfast was okay, had eggs and sausage, with juice. Wife said eggs were cold, but it was eggs on top that got cool from cover being open. Nothing to complain about.

Tired, worn down hotel. Fleas or beg bugs in the room, door didn’t latch closed, A/C was permanently on, elevator super slow. Whole place just felt gross.

I understand you get what you pay for but cleanliness should not be an option. Bathroom was dirty with toothpaste and hair on sink, mirror and floor, pillow cases had make up from the last persons stay on them, breakfast dining area had layers of dust/grime.

The hotel does take pets for a $15 fee, but there is no place around to walk an animal, all concrete and asphalt. In summer it was a problem due to the excessive heat and having to walk them across a parking lot and street to get to a small patch of dirt with some weeds.

It was graduation weekend so rates were high of course but this was very near the campus and just needed a place to crash for an evening. This place is somewhat antiquated and needs a complete makeover. With that said beds were comfortable, clean and service and staff very accommodating.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Very quiet, great options for breakfast each morning. Allowed us to check in early and we accidentally booked a handicap accessible king bed room, allowed us to switch to a 2 queen bed room at no charge. Pool area is beautiful and clean. Was not busy, feel like this placed us overlooked. Hidden gem for sure!
