Good

A convenient and lovely place to stay. Directly across from the train and bus stations, walking distance to the historic district (5-10min), many restaurants nearby. Rooms are simple but clean and modern. Gorgeous public bath for guests, and the breakfasts are delicious, plentiful, and feature a portion of a local delicacy, hoba-miso. I had a very pleasant stay.

Very convenient as the location is right across from the rail station and bus station. Also close to the old town area.

I had a solo couple nights stay at the hotel. The bed and pillow provided are comfortable enough. As with most business hotels, there isn't a whole lot of room to spread out, but the room is nonetheless clean and functional. Likewise, the bathroom is small, but the second floor bath house is of a decent size and comfortable. The hotel is located close to the Takayama JR Station and the bus terminal, which makes it a decent base for trips to the surrounding areas like Shirakawa-go and Oku Hida. It is also not too far of a walk from restaurants, shops and the old town of Takayama.

The hotel was conveniently located, the staff was friendly although the room was rather small but we are happy with it.

The building and facilities are pretty old. Everything is quite clean though. Staff speak basic English but aren't very helpful. The check-in process was much quicker than other Japanese hotels as the staff probably skipped explaining house rules in English. Instead there's a card they asked you to pay attention and read it later. Once during non-rush hour there's no one at the reception, I yelled for someone to come out from the back room. I heard the staff keep chatting and laughing and waited half a minute for a guy to come out. As I do know some Japanese, they did acknowledge my presence in Japanese in their chat and just left me waiting. It's pretty common in Japan to hear some sales/staff talking about you who presume you don't know their language. It's an okay experience, but certainly not great.

The hotel is just opposite to the train station which is prefect for tourists with heavy luggages. Its only within 10 minutes walk to other main attractions. The staff was friendly and allowed me to check in before noon.

Provides everything you need, nothing you don't. Highly recommended if most of your time will be spent outside of the room

very close to Nohi bus and JR station, approx. 3 mins walk only. Highly recommended to tourist who wish to stay overnight and need to catch early bus/ JR.

Quite over-priced, but clean and conveniently located.

We were staying there as it’s a nice location for connection to Shirakawago and Kurobe Alpine. The location was great but Not the bed, too small for a couple (imagine can’t even comfortably fit 2 Asian adults) and the bed was too lousy that you can even feel the spring that you slept on. Both of us had a backache after 1st night stay there. On the 2nd night onwards, we have no choice but to sleep on the floor with the covering of the comforter sheet. I strongly don’t recommend this hotel although the location is just right opposite the Takayama JR station.
