1 mile from the beach.

There was no ice, no coffee maker in the room. Did have refrigerator and microwave. There was coffee in the office.

We enjoyed the quick and easy check in. Very clean and quite property. We loved that it was close to the beach and stores, but yet isolated.

Everything was great! But the it needs one more trash can for the room.

We will book here again when visiting the Oceano Dunes!

Enjoyable

Small but dedicated and very helpful staff. Besides being a bit run down, the place is pretty clean and a decent older style motel on the highway. They charge what the market will bear, and the price varies. The thing is, most other places in the area are much more up-to-date and classy, when compared with this older property. Therefore the price is way, way, way out of line with what you'd normally expect for the money.

The only head-scratcher was how to get the innkeeper to come into the office when the lighted sign said "Open." There's a sign to ring the bell, but nothing happens. There is another item that looks like it might ring a bell and maybe it does because the innkeeper does come to the office. Need clarity on which bell to ring. Once we got him, he was super friendly and helpful in how to operate the television even though it was after the posted 10pm office closing time.

The hotel is literally a few minutes away from the beach. The customer service there was excellent. My room was clean. I really had a great time. It was actually very quiet and peaceful.

Convenient location for our purposes but property seemed rundown and overpriced. No active onsite management: no one present to checkout, little to no information when checking in. Other occupants were a little roady and another smoking immediately outside their room yet no one from the site seemed concerned or available to address.

I wish the owners cared more. It's a great area, but the fact they aren't then there and you have to wait on them to come from home or wherever they are to check in is terrible. A little maintenance would go a long way here.

The motel was more rundown than we anticipated. The carpet was worn and the toilet was leaking. It was also situated facing Highway 1, which we did not expect. So, it was noisy with all the vehicles driving by at night. For what we paid, we thought it would be a much nicer place.

The room had a very strong smell of cleaning products. We had to turn on the fans and open the window and door to ventilate it. Smelled it all night long.

Nice and clean

Our daughter was graduating and we couldn’t find a place and came across this place that still had vacancy. It was an older hotel, but it was clean. The staff was friendly, and the price was decent.

Nice guy in the front desk

We had a very nice experience at Oceano Inn! It was clean. The bed was clean and comfortable. The staff (Jesse) was extremely courteous and helpful. He brought things to our room and greeted us with a smile. For a place so affordable in walking distance to the beach, this is an excellent value. We’ll stay here again.

The shower water was hot to scalding. Shower floor was 'soft'. Couldn't ger shower to cool at all.

Scam hotel. Checked into our room. The room smelled disgusting. Noticed patch marks all over the walls, stains on the carpet and bedding, dirt piled in corners of bathtub. The freezer looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Two bed room and one of the beds looked like two futon mattresses pulled on each other. Further investigation found what looked to be bleach or luminol stains on the wall. Whole room had the feel that a crime scene unit was there recently and the room hadn't been cleaned since. Would not sit or touch any surface, much less sleep in one of the beds. Talked to hotels.com and they advised us to talk to the front desk. Was told that the guy at the front couldn't issue a refund and we had to call some other guy in southern California for a refund. When we finally got ahold of him, he told us he wouldn't refund the first night since we already checked in, but would refund the second night. This refund was never processed. This whole place was a scam from the jump. Never offered us a different room, never wanted to help and only cared about keeping our money. Your room was absolutely filthy, and your front desk guy knew it since he told us it needed paint. You screwed us over completely and are the type of run down hotel that shouldn't be on this site.

The other people staying were so noisy all night, slamming doors and yelling I had to call the front desk.

This was my second time staying at the hotel and it was not a good experience!! The tv service didn’t work my entire time there and the desk person wasn’t too concerned because he just started or just didn’t care!! I gave it a second chance because I like the area and the closeness to the beach. The rooms need to have the carpet shampooed!! I have 2 French or and love animals but it you are going to allow pets the least you can do with a carpeted wis clean the carpet every now and again!!! It makes the room smell really bad!! The garbage cans are always overflowing, at least the times I stayed there! Other than that it’s quiet and could be such a better experience with a few changes in upkeep. The carpet is a must though!!!

The internet wasn't working and tv only worked with the internet.

Second time staying here and I'm happy to say that that it was a great experience. The room was super clean and the guy that checked us in was so friendly. Love it here , there's a restaurant across the street and a liquor store next door, so convenient .

Very nice staff, beautiful room!

It was nice and quiet and private, I’ve stayed at a few hotels in the area and I appreciated those ascents!! The room had a frig and microwave which was a definite plus!! The room was clean the carpet could have been vacuumed a bit more but overall it was a pleasant experience and I would stay there again!! In fact I’m sure I will die to my work life.

Better off at a motel 6 Over priced This place was destroyed and nasty. Broken door hinges holes in the door that were improperly fixed Blood and boogers on the wall Stained towels and sheets Missing light bulbs Worker didn’t answer the door in the morning for assistance. Won’t recommend to anyone
