It was such a treat for us to stay lakeside side in the Italian lakes. The location, views and gardens were stunning. Private parking was very useful and breakfast was very good. The owner is very charming and welcomes you like family.
We stayed in the family room at the back. It's not fancy but extremely clean and comfortable...and priced at a steal for this location. Air con and a great shower/huge bathroom were appreciated. Doubled glazed windows were very effective at blocking out the noise of the stream outside.There's plenty of seating areas and loungers in the garden so we didn't feel we 'missed out' on views at all.

A wonderful way to visit Lago Maggiore. The hotel has beautiful grounds and spectacular views of the lake. The service is excellent and very friendly. The hotel has a parking lot, which is very helpful. The area is very quiet. Stresa is about three kilometers away for a boat ride, a stroll, and numerous restaurants. Ideal place to visit the lake.

Great views from this location. Just a short drive to get to public parking for the public and private boat services to the islands. It's on the main road which the vehicles go too fast, so be careful walking from the free parking and the stairs up to the property.

The rooms are exactly as described, nice and clean. The views from the room are amazing. Only suggestion is to have slightly thicker bedsheets as it was raining the night we stayed.

Lovely, classic hotel with quite new and modern rooms. Greta view over the lake from the room. They have free parking, and a little "beach" area to relax on. A bonus was a pedalo boat to go on the lake with.

I would say the hotel is definitely worth its money.Cons: there are almost no sidewalks along the road to Stresa, so its sometimes not too comfortable to walk, if not saying scary.There is a river flowing near the hotel, if the balcony door is opened , its noisy enough in the room

Perfectly situated on Lake Maggiore between Baveno, Stresa Italy.on the lake Isola Bella and Isola dei Pescatori were just a ferry ride away and very charming . The castle and gardens on Isola bella were magnificent! A Must visit! Natalinos and his brother were the best and very helpful and gracious!

Great location... though. stay in the room or get in the car if you wish to spend time outside It is on a busy noisy main road, no sidewalk. Can't leave the window open - water fall under the window, railway from the other side and the rosd under the gate..

Lovely location. Road in front of hotel and railway line behind a bit noisy but not too bad. Ask for a room at the front so that you get a lakeside view. Staff very friendly, breakfast good. There could have been a bit more information in the room, for example how to operate the tv to switch from digital to analogue otherwise you can't get many stations. Also some information about the local area would have been useful. Overall, very good value for money.

Budget hotel in a lovely location. However if you dont have a car or a bicycle you are looking at a 40 minute walk into Sesetre, the nearest town, and half of that is on a road with no pavements. Breakfast was OK but it does not start till 8.30am so if you want an earlier start to your day you will have to go without breakfast. Rooms are basic but OK and they have BBC world. However the shower cubicles (plastic pods) are tiny and not easy to use if you are over 6ft or on not as slim as you would like to be!
