The hosts were very kind and respectful. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would definitely stay again. Easy walk to local shops and restaurants. Traditional English breakfast that was first rate.

We had been staying in a camp site before arriving here. It exceeded all expectations, a fantastic guesthouse and recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Lovely quiet, clean property easy walking to park, castle, shops and train station even with a suitcase. Many nearby walking trails you can access as well all without a car. Clean, nice laundry few minutes from property. I had single room, shared bathroom. It was a good sized room with all you needed. Vegetarian/vegan breakfast options.

This was as good as any 3 star or 4 star hotel. Beautifully decorated, clean bathroom , lovely spacious lounge with lots of tourist information. Great if you have no car as only 9 minutes from a very convenient train station at Okehampton. I hope to revisit.

This is a lovely B&B, very clean and tidy, our rooms were just right, we had a wash hand basin, tea n coffee facility, TV. we shared a bathroom which was on the hall outside our room.

Arrived fairly late but was greeted in friendly polite manor. Shown to room which was very comfortable with excellent bathroom . Breakfast the following morning was fantastic . Overall it’s value for money was fantastic . It is on the street parking but I did find space close by fairly easily .

This was a clean, comfortable B&B, which served a good variety of things for breakfast. Luckily we managed street parking just outside the door, but that might not be available. The road to the town is quite steep.

We had a lovely stay at Meadowlea Guest House. We felt very safe and comfortable with the social distancing and hygiene practises Mark and Lesley had put in place at this time. The room was lovely and the breakfast was fantastic. Would recommend and stay again ourselves.

An excellent bed and breakfast with a great homely vibe. The room was clean and tidy with great decor and amenities. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Would highly recommend!

This is arguably the best guest house that I have ever had the pleasure of staying at.
I was on business for only one night. However, my room was very spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and I had an excellent night sleep.
The bathroom was just right and with good provision of toiletries.
I asked for poached eggs for breakfast and they were cooked to perfection.
Excellent value for money and I would definitely stay there again.
If you're thinking about staying in the area, I would strongly recommend that you also stay there.

We spent 3 nights at Meadowlea. The room was lovely and clean, very comfortable with tea and coffee daily. Mark & Lesley are very good hosts and were there for any needs we had. We were able to store bikes and breakfast was plentiful. The guesthouse is on the edge of Dartmoor so perfect for walking and cycling. Also the town is 5 mins away. The local library is very good and there are places to eat.

B&B's don't come any better than this. Our room was of the highest standard and the quality of the breakfasts was excellent. Together with the helpfull and friendly attitude of the proprietors, Mark and Lesley, this made our brief stay quite memorable.

Comfortable nights stay at this excellent B&B. Owners are very welcoming. Room was good with comfy bed, small TV, tea and coffee making facilities incl cookies, and washbasin. Shower was good too. Breakfast was good, incl fresh fruit, prunes, yogurt, cereals, and full cooked selection. There is a lovely sitting room with tropical fish and free WiFi too.

Spotlessly clean , tidy and in good condition with a fabulous breakfast. I usually stay in 3 and 4 star hotels but this place has converted me to guest houses as it was every bit as comfortable.

The B&B is lovely and well maintained. We had a double with ensuite. The room was very big and the bed was a super king. It was extremely comfortable and very well equipped. It is also well located - we were on our way to Cornwall and it was a perfect stop over. We would definitely use it again. Also they provided a great breakfast including the option to ask for a hot cooked breakfast.
