Positives; The hotel itself is beautiful, it has a luxury feel, and the pool never felt busy or crowded. It is well located for the beach The staff were friendly, the spa service for massage was very good. We got upgraded to a bigger room on arrival The hotel was very clean Things which could be better; Sunsuri is built into a hillside, as such the rooms cannot be easily accessed via lift/ walking, the hotel provide a 24 hour shuttle from your room to lobby but it’s not ideal for nipping back to the room if you forgot something, to use the toilet etc. In terms of location, the hotel is a 5 min walk from Nai Harn beach which is a lot quieter than other beaches in Phuket which suited us well, but if you want more nightlife, restaurants etc you may prefer a busier location, we relied on taxis and trips to be able to visit other locations, there isn’t a lot in walking distance and no buses etc, when we asked the best way to visit Phuket old town (40 mins away) we were advised taxi. I emailed the hotel weeks in advance to advise them of a requirement to provide feather free bedding, but all the bedding was feathered on arrival, it took 3 calls to reception to 3 different people to explain. The hotel does not cater well for a plant based diet - for evening meal the restaurant could only provide pad Thai with ketchup, or vegetables with soy sauce. Breakfast options were fruit and dry toast. This meant we had to find places to eat out every day and evening.

For the price you would expect it to be less run down. The staff seem irritated you are there and are not especially customer oriented. The pool area is not as clean as it should be. The rooms and common area are dated.

I don’t understand the other reviews. This was overall a very weak experience in this hotel. It is in a very poor shape for the price it is. Right now this is equivalent to a 2 star hotel. The management needs to invest in renovating the full place. It’s full of humidity in the rooms, weak MacGyver repairs and questionable cleaning. The staff is trying their best and everyone is very friendly. The English level is very low though. On top of all that, the Nai Harn beach is terrible. Full of people. Not in a good way. Rawai is total chaos too. Not in a good way either. Avoid this hotel and location. The owners might want to invest or sell for others to take over since it’s just a question of time until people realise the mismatch between these strangely positive reviews, the price, and quality of it.

Friendly staff and lobby area was nice. Outside of the central areas the hotel looks a bit rundown in places. Breakfast is OK but certainly not a 5 star experience. Room was large with a nice view and balcony although again could do with some maintenance. Staff all very friendly.

This hotel was the most impressive one on my two week tour of Thailand. I was given a room with an incredible view of the pool, ocean and temple across the street. The facilities were extremely comfortable. The meals I did have at the hotel were all delicious, affordable and didn't give me indigestion. The pool was my favorite part of my stay. It was a spectacular experience.

The staff was very nice an helpful. Although the hotel is not by the beach, it is walking distance to it and they also offer drop-off and pick-up every hour. The pool is very nice and the rooms are spacious.

As a family we had a great time, well looked after the staffs and surrounding area is great for family holidays. I recommend highly Sunsuri

Excellent property. Very nice and secluded from the busyness found elsewhere in Phuket. Nice easy walk to the beach or shuttle service. Staff are very friendly and helpful , nothing is too much. Only criticism would be that some of the rooms bneed some investment to update and make them brighter. I found the rooms a little too dark at times

Tucked away on a hilly area, it is very tastefully designed and has a lot of space and amazing swimming pools and activities for children. Easy access to nai hon beach which is really lovely in the late afternoon. Staff are very cheerful and helpful. Swimming pools for kids and adults are thoughtfully designed with a pavillion for resting and enjoying the pool bar. Food was nice and reasonably priced. We had a lake view villla with its own private and shaded swimming pool so was very quiet and convinient. Only downside would be the long walks if staying on one of the blocks further up the hill, but they helpfully shuttle you around on request. We had a downer on our trip as kids got a vomiting bug fron either the food or most likely the swimming pool water. They also seemed to have no rehydration salt etc on site and just asked us to go the doctors. However putting down to bad luck and overall very pleasant chilled out holiday

Very nice stuff, beautiful hotel area

Really liked the location very close to, but not on, the beach. For early morning and evening walks and a swim on the beach, the place is simply perfect. We didn’t use the pool at all because the weather was very good, and the sea (in terms of clarity and warmth of the water) was by far our preferred option (we live in Hawaii but Nai Harn beach is definitely hard to beat). Our only disappointment was with the breakfast. We felt there should be more non-meat options (they seem to put meat in almost every dish), the powder-based coffee machine does not produce good coffee, the cross wind kept blowing out the heating elements (so the food was hardly ever hot), and the food waste (more the fault of the guests abusing the buffet format rather than the hotel) was hard to justify. I talked the management about these issues, so, hopefully, by the time of our next visit, things will have improved. We will definitely stay at this property again. The room, staff, and access to a wonderful beach make it well worth recommending almost whole-heatedly.

Our check in was delayed and the rooms were cleaned up after some feedback. The hotel even offered us the christmas dinner as compensation. Really appreciated that! <3 we had an awesome family holiday! Thanks guys

World class multi-tiered infinity pool with a water slide, too notch staff that was incredibly polite and accommodating, and the included morning breakfast had a great variety of delicious food. The beach was also walkable, but the included shuttle was very convenient when it gets really hot out. It’s not right next to the beach, but about a five to ten minute stroll. The rooms and the included views are incredible, and the staff once again deserves extra praise for being so great.

We have now been all over Phuket and some nearby islands for about 10 days. No question, no contest, Sunsuri Phuket and Nai Harn Beach have been our highlight here for sure. Not much going on. Those who love Patong and nightlife would not be happy here. Too quiet. After almost 9 months of travel, it’s just what we needed. Mellow, warm, clear beach—no waves. We had to navigate 71 stairs to go up and down from our room. 😐 But...watching the sunset from our balcony every night made it more than worth it. Free shuttles all day to and from beach. (It’s only about 3 blocks away.😊) Great staff, esp. at reception. Food at Sails not so great. Sorry guys.

Bad service and very bad manager. The hotel manager treats the resort as if it is a night club. It was so loud I couldn't sleep. And the guests service did not stop the party. I will not come here again.

The resort was excellent, people were fantastic, and the service was always done promptly and with a smile. The resort is in the southernmost tip of the island in a more family and wellness oriented area. The Nai Harn beach was amongst one of the best beaches in the island, and during the afternoon tide, gave nice and fun moments with tall waves, but never feeling unsafe or particularly strong. The pool in the resort was good, safe and clean as well. The area is secluded from the hustle and bustle of the island as Patong Beach and Phuket Town are more than 45 minutes away at peak times. Breakfast had variety and the food was good and tasty. Tropical fruits in the fruit bar were nice. The staff were helpful and pleasant, and in particular I remember Aya helping me promptly, kindly, and always with a smile - excellent service! Some of the staff in the hotel spoke very little English, in particular the cleaning staff, but that's expected. I had a one day full tour arranged by the hotel tour guide and it was an excellent day out as well. I had a great time in Phuket and I would return to Sunsuri on another trip.

Great resort with friendly and attentive staff. The room was clean, comfortable and with a great view. The location is secluded, with most necessary things on site. The restaurant and bar are good, and the travel concierge is very helpful with booking local tours and trips. There’s otherwise only a beach and a handful of restaurants within walking distance.

I loved my stay at Sunsuri. Beautiful location, super friendly staff, excellent service, easy access to the town and beach- this place has everything for everybody. I’m definitely going back here if I plan to return to Phuket.

The location of the hotel is very nice, there is a lake opposite the hotel and the beach is not so far away. The staffs are very nice and helpful, we've been upgraded to a Ocean View room and also had a special room decoration, a cake and a card for our wedding anniversary. It's a lovely stay.

The rooms are large and very nice. The staff are great and made a fuss of our toddler. The breakfast was disappointing and the food in general could be improved.
