We stayed here 3 years ago…just seemed better then. This time…people were nice but property (room) needs to be freshened up. Tile floor had chips in it, doorways into bathrooms were chipped and the door into the laundry closet came off the hinges when we opened it. Dark cabinets/dark fabrics.
When we called Skorkels to order dinner…the guy at the bar (in the middle of my order) told me he was too busy, he had to deliver drinks to a table and I should call back. Really? At a Westin? Property really needs to be freshened up! Plus…I eat gluten free and would be nice to have some options at Mango’s Deli for breakfast. All breakfast sandwiches and pastries were not. GF pizza crust not available either.

The place was well maintained, clean. The pool and lounge areas were clean. It was too pricey overall and the staff were not so friendly. Haven’t been on this island before so no comparators.

Resort is huge. We were up on the hill, the furthest building from the lobby / pool / restaurant, but with the golf cart shuttles make it okay.

This place is beautiful. It's so close to everything as well. I'm sorry to say this but I did not enjoy the food at Lemongrass.

The pool was excellent. We liked the easy beach access as well, but the beach in front of the hotel is not nearly the best on the island.

Loved the Westin. Huge pool, easy parking. Room was clean and large. Would stay here again. It is a huge property. We were very close to the pool and the beach. The hotel is close to Cruz Bay but it’s not really walkable. It’s not that far but it’s across a big hill.

Premier facility in a prime location with all the amenities. We enjoyed our 3 day stay in the villas in St John. It was the perfect base for accessing the shopping and restaurants in Cruz Bay and the amazing beaches and trails on the rest of the islands. The suite offered all of the comforts and accessories we need and had the best beds we slept on during our stay in the USVI.

Enjoyed our stay overall…beautiful facilities, room was clean and comfortable. Pool was perfect and it was convenient having excursions leave from the resort. One minor thing - did not like being charged for pool activities.

Front desk staff was great along with the pool crew. Beautiful room with ocean front views. The room was very clean and well equipped. Enjoyed the dining especially our waiter Armani! Would definitely stay here again if returning to the Island. Offsite restaurant we enjoyed the most was Morgan’s Mango. Tasty food, very clean and updated dining area

Proximity to Cruz Bay, Coral Bay and North Shore beaches is excellent. Food at Snorkels Bar and Grill is excellent. Convenient rent a jeep. Pools are nice. Fitness center leaves something to be desired.

Refrigerator didn’t work but fixed/replaced second day. Were going to charge us for ice at deli. Shuttle was nice.

It was beautiful and most staff were helpful - but be aware everything costs a lot of $$$$… even though it’s not stated that way, they also wouldn’t let us take the hobie cat out bc even though we are experienced sailors there was a slight breeze (any less and we wouldn’t be able to sail)
and weren’t clear about the snorkel gear costing $$$ to use , $12 a card To play pool bingo… and the golf carts they shuttle you around in (bc big property) didn’t show up all the time… but if you don’t mind opening your wallet to enjoy the “ included amenities” and pay 7$ pp every time you want to leave the resort for Westin taxi ( plus tip)
Oh and it’s under construction- so there’s that. We had a great vacation - despite feeling nickle and dimed- just good to know ahead what you’re getting into
It’s a beautiful spot and St. John is awesome

Property is dated, and customer service by staff is beyond disappointing. Rooms are updated but if a 4/5 star resort is what you are wanting, this is not the place.

Hotel sits on large, spacious grounds. There's a very nice beach with complimentary watersports, and a beautiful pool. There are lots of amenities: tennis courts, gym, bar cafe, etc, so there's plenty to do, even if you want to take it easy for a day and stay on the hotel grounds. When you want to go and explore the island, safari cabs are always on standby, and there's free parking for your rental car. Most rooms have beautiful views of the bay and the area, with fully equipped kitchens and balconies. There's a supermarket nearby, a couple hundred feet away, an easy walk. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the general ambiance is laid back, relaxing and tranquil. Rooms seem to sell out fast, so book it while you can.

The staff was amazing and really went out of its way to make our stay enjoyable. The property should remove the signage about the spa, which was confusing because I understand the spa has been closed for a while. Finally, the maintenance staff should be sensitive to light sleepers because my husband and I were awakened one morning by power washing or something loud that was being done at 3am near our building.

I love this property. This was my second visit. Everything is as seen on site. Majority of service staff is accomidating and very friendly. However, towel/pool service and front desk personnel are always combative, openly. Even hearing a women refuse popcorn to a child at the pool for not actuality watching the poolside movie. Seemed petty and outwardly agressivve at times. Cleanliness of grounds and rooms are superior. Restaurant and golf cart guys are the true winners on this property. Pool needs daily vaccuming. They get a daily cleaning, but more attention to detail could be had. Overall a great property and by far superior in the area. Work on service in the aforementioned areas, and it would be perfect.
