Clean and good bistro next door.

it was very close to the location that i went down for- The convenience of meals etc was very good and of quite good quality

Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and well maintained. Parking was easy and the area was safe. Bar and bistro staff were friendly and efficient. Not a big issue but there could have been more vegetarian options on the bistro menu. Shops and the train station were an easy drive from the motel. Very good value for the room rate.

Was not warned beforehand that renovation was taking place at the time. The tv didn’t work and the shower dripped all night. Would not stay there again. Did not feel safe as lone female traveller

The only positive things about the hotel were that it was within walking distance of the Springvale Cemetery (a visit to which was the purpose of our trip), and the free wifi.The owners are in the process of renovating the motel units, so there were workmen using drills and saws from 7.30am Saturday morning.It was hard initially to find where the motel rooms were, and then there was no-one in the office so I had to go to the hotel gaming room to check in.The unit we occupied was basic, and the complimentary continental breakfast was very basic. There was also no option to have a cooked breakfast, with the hotel not opening until 10am.The hotel did, however, have a good menu for lunch and dinner, with reasonably priced seniors' specials, and a discount for seniors card holders.

Unfortunately didnt get to stay there this time got moved to keysborough but have stayed there several times before.

I stayed at Sandown for convenience, as I was travelling interstate for a reunion at a great show playing there in the function room, which was fantastic. We had a great baked pork dinner as part of the deal. Earlier on that day I also had a meal at the bistro which was good value and very delicious. Although the rooms in the motel part where clean and comfortable they really need upgrading.Staff were very friendly n helpful.

Bathroom old mouldy and carpet dirty. Bedding clean

The unit was the dirty, The Shower was filthy with used tubes shampoo etc. The plates and cups not washed. The four of us would not use the shower on have breakfast in that place. After 600km and dark we could not get another motel.My wife and two children did not sleep at all. The office was locked when we got there and locked when we left. I stay at a lot of Motels and gain a Gold Membership with Hotels.com. We deserve our money back.

Good food. Close to work, rooms old, water hot, priced right.
