This modest guest house is clean, has a great bed, and is located an easy walk into the center of Esperanza. We had trouble getting the hot water to stay on in the shower, and the “front desk” didn’t really exist; we were lucky that a kind staff member happened to be working on flower beds when we arrived who could let us in because calls to the hotel weren’t answered and But the room was charming; it had a refrigerator and there was coffee and fixings for us to use, and the ac worked very well. We would definitely stay again!

2nd time there, love staying in Vieques

Property owned by a family and they are very nice. Location is quiet and you would need to drive to the town for a few minutes to get to the major restaurants and gathering points.

Wally was very sweet and made us feel very welcome.

Upon arrival the lock was broken. The staff did work to fix it, but we lost about 1.5 hours on a one night stay waiting to get into our unit, then having the staff fix. We eventually had to leave for evening activities without our belongings locked up. The issue was resolved, but it’s wasn’t a good checkin.

Overall the stay was nice. It did not feel like the room was cleaned before I arrived - lots of hair in the shower drain, stained duvet and pillow cases, and sand in the sheets. But, it is very convenient with restaurants just a 15 minute walk down, black sand beach 20 minute walk away, and sun bay beach 10 minute walk away. Another thing to keep in mind is the gps doesn’t direct you straight to the house - the taxi driver got lost trying to drop me off the first night. Overall decent stay.

The bed sheet has some stains on it. Not sure if this is something that can't be cleaned or the sheet was not changed. The room overall is clean and tidy. Wifi and AC works fine. The bath water is not stable. Hot for while and then becomes cold. The check-in process was very smooth.

Wally, the manager was always available to help with any request. We enjoyed the short distance to the restaurant areas.

It’s convenient to go beach areas

The bed and pillows were comfortable, the A/C and fridge worked, and the owner/manager was pleasant to interact with. However, the toilet had not been cleaned prior to my check in and it was leaking water onto the floor. Also, the floor of the entire unit had hair and dust. Obviously it had not been properly cleaned. I'm reluctant to leave negative comments, but this hotel room cost over $110/night. That's too much to pay to exprience these problems.

It was a beautiful guest house with very very friendly staff. The location was fantastic beasts. It was walkable right to El Malecon the main strip, and although we didn’t rent a car, the staff was nice enough to provide a driver to tourist around the island and pick us up and drop us back off at the ferry! Couldn’t be happier will stay there again.

The place wasn’t the way it was in the picture, it was very bad looking outside, receptionist was fixing his car outside at out check in and we have to wait for him, then he provide the rooms and it was in very bad condition base on cleaning, the toilet was very dirty, bed with hair in sheets. Pillow with a lot stains. We wasn’t happy about it and deside to left the place and find a better hotel. We didn’t care about the money and tell him that he can keep the money and we just going to leave. This is a beautiful island and hope this place get a better cleaning, because for the price that they are asking per night it should be much better. That was the main problem “not a cleaning place”

Beautiful area, the property was clean and quiet. Check in and check out were easy.

The gentleman Waldi was very nice & explained everything upon our arrival. He even allowed an early check-in stating “the room is ready.” The problem with the place was that I got the impression that someone still lived there. The fridge & kitchen sink were dirty, there were leftover items not cleaned out of the fridge & leftover repurposed water bottles left on the counter. Upon inspection of the linen, nothing was crisp & clean…there were hairs on the towels, the sheets, & even debris (as if someone got into bed with dirty feet.) There were stains on the sheets & pillow cases (yellowed out where a head would be) & the bathroom was also dirty including the toilet & mold on the sink. My mom used an available Lysol mold spray to take away some of the mold. As far as the location of the place, it was very convenient because we were five minutes from Esperanza and there was a little store that was literally within walking distance of the place. So we made the most of it. It’s too bad because this place has the potential to be very cute but unfortunately just was not clean enough. I would not stay there again.

Unique was the diver that picked us up. Wilberto I think. He was very helpful. He made this trip unforgettable. Very knowledgeable about the island. Beautiful beaches and supplied us with coconuts from the beach.

Wally the man that runs the property is really nice and accommodating. Our room was not very clean. We stayed for 3 days and you have to pay extra to not use same bath towels all those days. Property not close to beach or town. Walk there was in steep hill. Had it not been for Wally we would have left room the 1st day. Just be ready to pay $10. 00 to pay for ride to town each way.

Read fine line. Have to notify them 24 hrs in advance of arrival time?? When you are on vacation you don't always know arrival time. Refrigerator had not been cleaned and needed defrosting. It was self check in and key left in door for you.

Bed was super comfortable! It could be cleaner, but for a one night it was not bad. The host is super friendly gave us Quenepas and Mangos. I would recommend.

The owner was really excellent, he had mangos and coconuts from the yard sitting out for guests, and he gave us a ride to the beach. The room was clean with a fridge and a TV. About a 15 minute walk from the town of La Esperanza. Only complaint is that we could easily hear other guest moving around in the halls and had trouble sleeping in!

It was nice and quiet. Allthough it was impossible to talk to someone on the phone. Our room was not fully cleaned. The guy that worked there was really nice once we got someone.

The host is super kind and welcome and he is a truly gentleman. We loved this quite place which is near the sea as well.

Great people and location!

Location was great to downtown Vieques; walking distance or a very short drive. Only issue that prevented me rating at 5-stars: (1) bed sheets and towels were very old; the bed sheets had stains, but smelled clean.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Coral. Wally was extremely helpful and friendly. Being on the edge of Esperanza keeps it away from a lot of the noise of the Main Street. Would happy stay again. Thank you for everything.
