Most comfortable for an overnight stay

We come to visit family in The Midlands twice a year from Australia. We needed a place close to Durban Airport close to the N2 to make it easy to find at night. This hotel is tidy friendly and clean and very well placed. The position next to the mall is ideal for air conditioned walking after an early rise due to jet lag. The rooms are small but for the money it great value for our purposes. We wil use this hotel again.

We had a good stay & experience, the location is great. Check in could have been more convenient than what we experienced, sometimes the old fashioned way is best but overall we had a good stay.

Thank you it was fine. The TV connection was very poor only 4 channels.

Generator from the mall across the car park made us fail to sleep properly on all the days we were booked in.

A really decent hotel & the staff are super efficient & friendly. What really surprised me was the meal offering ~ & it was superb! The City Lodge Group is certainly the best & i continue to support them, whenever i travel. Thank you

I liked the location, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the comfortable bed. It is close to all dining options of the shopping mall. We loved our stay there and would like to come back.

Really enjoyed my stay, and a huge thank you to the manager for assisting in entertaining my toddler whilst i was having my breakfast. That for me was excellent service.

Strategically placed near the Mall and other dining areas...

It was clean and neat, with friendly staff, the only problem was, the parking was not enough and got full quickly therefore we had to park in the gateway parking lot. Not ideal in the rain. But other than that, it was comfortable and a good stay. 👍

At first they forgot to put the rooms adjacent and two single beds . Then we moved to rooms close to the kids but not adjacent . Only one towel in couple room . Then there

Close to hospital, restaurants, malls, clubs, highways...all within walking distance. Safe, street cam surveillance. 7min drive to Umhlanga Promenade / beach.

The actual place is okay the only problem was that the other guests were incredibly loud while walking in the passage so like you hear EVERYTHING The venue is really close to multiple restaurants so you will have options

Easiest check in and out I’ve experienced this far. Rooms are small but very comfortable. Front desk ladies could be a little more welcoming tho. Very continent location near to almost everything.

Stay was absolute fantastic and next to Gateway Shopping Centre. Advice on a few maintenance issue was well received.

First of all, I did not get the two single beds that I requested. There was only one teabag in the room and no sugar. The toilet was blocked

I will not book again, apartment was tiny. Limited hanging space. Separate ironing room on a different floor, like really?? Bathroom door could not shut so I had a sopping wet floor.

I booked for a double bed and got twin beds. This was a suppose to be a stay with my partner. The lady at the front was extremely unhelpful. She couldn't give a damn. Not enjoyable at all.

When my team arrived after 7 in the evening to book in, the booking could not be found. The booking was made on the 19th of Sept and the receptionist after reluctantly trying to find the booking said the booking only arrived in her inbox as the team arrived on the evening of the 26th of Sept. We booked 3 x rooms with double beds, they then said we only booked 2 x rooms and then later realised they were not correct. The rooms my team were placed in after the staff scrambled to get them rooms, had 2 x single beds each. I feel that they did not prepare for our arrival. Other than that, the team was satisfied with the rooms in the end. We will not be booking with the Road Lodge again.
