The hotel has a great location. It's clean and comfortable, but somewhat "dated". Some things should be upgraded soon. All in all, good value for money and we did have a good stay.

The room was fairly noisy (you could hear the floor above and the room nearby fairly loudly), the bathroom smelly and the air conditioning not working properly

Everything about this hotel was top rate! Spotlessly clean, super friendly and responsive staff, location, price, and amenities in the room. Yes, the room was small, but when I travel I don't really expect to spend all that much time besides sleeping in my room. It is meant as a small, affordable hotel and not a luxury hotel and it far exceeds this goal. I highly recommend it.

One of the rooms we booked had several flying bugs. The receptionist went into the room to check the condition. Despite our objection of not applying insecticide to kill the bugs, she sprayed it right away when she saw them flying in the bathroom. We travelled with children and had concerned about the effects on kids. The family who supposed to stay in the room moved to another hotel and had not received any response from the hotel owner/management after a week. Very disappointed.

Hotel Medieval was a great little hotel in Avignon. Convenient to key attractions and on a quiet street. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was small but perfectly fine for a holiday stay. The air-conditioner worked well which was important given the 40 degree heat outside.

Nice hotel with very central location at 5 minutes walk from the Palais des Papes. Minimalistic, but comfortable. The AC did not seemed to work but it was not hot enough to make it necessary plus one can open the window (although sometimes you might hear a couple loud people in the middle of the night).

Hotel Medieval is in the heart of Avignon. It's on a quiet street which is excellent for sleeping. 1 block away there is a square with lots of restaurants. It's an easy and close walk to all the sights of Avignon ie Palais du Papes was about a 4-5 min walk. The size of the room was fantastic, especially for France. We looked over a quaint coutyard. We would definitely stay there again! We highly recommend Hotel Medieval.

This is an old fashioned French hotel : cozy, quiet, comforting but not modern or slick. Our room was on a charming courtyard and we were able to have the doors and windows wide open. The location can't be beat.

Good location. Walkable to everything in the old town. As expected in historical buildings, there is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage, ask for a lower floor. Room is small but is expected in this area. Very friendly receptionist. Breakfast is ok.

I loved this place! The staff was super friendly, offering suggestions on places to go as well as speaking slow French when I practiced my own (but always being ready to switch into English). The room was great and very quiet--the AC worked great and the bed was comfortable. I added an extra night because I liked it as a base for Provence and I would definitely go back.

A well located hotel, very convenient, very close to the town centre and all its amenities. Charming yet simple, the hotel and its breakfast will please all, families, couples and businessmen/women. Very good value for money, the only drawback would be the few minutes walk between the car park and the hotel although to be honest, you get a hefty 20% discount on the « palais des papes » car park which makes it one of the best place to stay.

The room I was in didn’t have great ventilation and was very hot. The air conditioning unit was very ´loud making for a challenging night sleep.

Excellent welcome. Friendly staff. Room/bathroom clean. Towels and bedsheets clean. Maybe redecorate drapes and curtains for a newer heavier fabric, medieval prints with modern fabrics, also for upholstery.
Perfect location, inside the popes’ palace with many restaurants choices less than 100 mètres away. Tea/coffee set very much appreciated. Maybe a free bottle of water a day would be nicer.

Great location - perfect for our needs. We wanted to stay inside the wall and near to the palace. Room was clean comfortable. Not fancy, but the location is worth it. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Overall we were happy. The location is very central, the staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is super cute, though the rooms of the walls are a bit too thin and you hear a lot whats going on in the corridors.
