Beautiful hotel with great private beach. Location is rather isolated but they do their best to provide anything you need. Food and beverages are rather expensive but expected.

Excellent hotel but be aware of the serious hills!

A beautiful spectacular scenery resort. Sea view rooms with wonderful full choice breakfast buffet. Special thanks to Vicky customer care at reception and super thanks to Mario who was so helpful at any hour, funny and a big asset to the hotel.

Beautiful setting! Wonderful location. Overlooking the bay and Spinalonga. Reception staff and concierge were very knowledgeable and attentive. Ate at both restaurants on the property - both of which were absolutely outstanding! Highly recommend. Food was divine and the staff at both places went above and beyond. The pool bar and Minoan bar staff, however, left a LOT to be desired. Inattentive and unhelpful and not all that polite.

It’s a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The staff are particularly amazing and hospitable. The only downside we found was how expensive everything is once you’ve checked in: €1.50 per coffee pod in the room with no kettle for making anything yourself, €30 for one hour of the tennis court, €20 extra for one-hour late check out (we didn’t choose that option), etc. The upside is that it does force you to go out to explore Elounda and Plaka for dining options, and there are some amazing ones. That being said, it is a stunning hotel and it’s clear a lot of love and thought has been put into it. Worth a visit, even just for a night.

The hotel is beautiful! The beach is really nice, the staff is helpful and breakfast was great!

This was a great property. It was a great location and the view from the room is breathtaking. You can see the sunrise every morning. You have a great view and access to the remote beach. The pool is lovely. The staff are friendly. The kiwi at breakfast was delicious. The only complaint is they charge for coffee in the room. The price card was not strategically placed with all charges.

Magnificent views on the bay! The hotel is very nice and clean. Staff is very caring and especially the front desk manager Vassilis. Wonderful vacations in August. I’ll come back for sure.

New stylish hotel with stunning views from rooms, restaurants and pool, with lovely private beach. Location very convenient close to Elounda, Plaka and Agios Nikolaos. Nice breakfast but quality of food from restaurant at the beach truly disappointing. Food in Greece/Crete can be so good, it seems considerable management failure not to monitor what is offered. Despite of this, rated five stars and would stay there again, hotel itself is exceptional.

This place is an absolute gem if you’re looking to relax and unwind. Despite it being an hour drive from Heraklion airport, it’s well worth the trip. The staff were second to none, from the main restaurant, to the beach bar, reception, buggy drivers and daily housekeeping. Everyone was friendly and genuinely very helpful. We stayed for a week and would definitely recommend. Several things to note: Food - good breakfast buffet covering the standard continental range and local delicacies. Decent range of restaurants although pricy in comparison to restaurants in neighbouring towns (Plaka/ Elounda) Private beach - great views and exceptional service from staff. Plenty of availability when it comes to sun loungers and has a water sports port you can book trips and experiences at directly. Housekeeping - super! Transport - the rooms are scattered along the hillside but getting to and from the room, beach, restaurant, pool is made easy with their golf buggy service. Spa/ gym/ tennis courts - gym access doesn’t come at an extra cost but if you’re looking to use the spa, you’ll find it underground which is a shame given the natural light and fantastic views available. Spa staff aren’t as friendly as everyone else working across the hotel which is a shame so we cancelled our treatment. You also have to pay an extra free to use the sauna. “Adults only” seems to be a loose rule as there were babies and toddlers.

Amazing hotel, beautiful location and friendly stuff. Excellent breakfast and beautiful beach. Highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel overlooking the sea between Elounda & Plaka. On a steep hill but electric buggies are available to run you to & fro & are just a call to reception away.There are also lifts available to get you up or down one level at a time. The pool is simply awesome with spectacular views. Food is excellent as are the staff who are friendly & attentive. Probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at you will not be disappointed

The almost 300€ Rate per night for the aforementioned room is not a value for money option. I cannot provide feedback for the other rooms of the hotel - but - I do know that with this rate there are better options in the area. 24h reception, restaurant options & room service are a significant +.

We enjoyed our stay at Royal Marmin. The room was comfortable, quiet and spacious enough with lots of closet space. The view from our terrace was magnificent! Magical. The beds were soft and comfortable. The staff are exceptional. Very accommodating, cheerful and hard working people. The manager was very helpful in helping us navigate the PCR test appointments. One serious deficiency at the hotel is managing severe allergies. Staff are poorly trained and the communication about severe life threatening allergies is not understood. Breakfast is generous even though the food is always the same, but excellent and with lots of choice. Excellent free cappuccinos and fredos really make a difference. We loved Crete and enjoyed many excursions to learn about the ancient history of this extraordinary place. Thank you!!!
