Lovely location for our trip for the Cheltenham festival. Dinner on Tuesday was stunning. Excellent setting. Rooms equipped very well for what they are required for. Would recommend as a great stop for a few days in the Cotswold area

Excellent service from the lady at the bar who checked me and also served in the restaurant. Some attention to cleanliness details in the room and slippery stairs access to the rooms. Otherwise great food and very friendly service

I had previously contacted the venue to see if it was possible to leave our bags as we needed to attend a wedding before the check in time. Communication as great and the venue allowed us to use the room before the check in time. The room was lovely and really in keeping with the pub/ restaurant. The bed was super comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Our 1 night stay at The Bell totally exceeded our expectations. From the minute we arrived, the service was friendly and welcoming, and our room (The Dovecot) was beautiful, clean and perfect for us. Our dog was also made very welcome both in the room and in the restaurant. The rooms have their own separate self contained entrance so you can come and go as you please without having to walk through the pub. We paid for half board, and dinner and breakfast were both excellent. We would definitely have no hesitation in recommending The Bell, and would happily stay again in the future.

Cosy rooms above a nice pub. Quite hot in the roof space, but a fan was provided. Good food and 1 to 1 service for breakfast!

Fantastic pub and accommodation with a view over Stroud. Friendly staff, clean and tidy room (small but cosy). Breakfast and evening meal were of good quality. The late breakfast sitting of 8.30am may not suit all, but I believe there is a continental selection which can be taken away. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a lovely, large room above the pub and it was quiet, warm and of a really high standard. We stayed in December and there was even a real and full size Christmas tree in the room which was incredible! The drinks and two course dinner in the restaurant were delicious and a great breakfast was made to order in the morning. All the staff were very friendly and overall it was good value and a perfect stay. Would definitely return! No car, so we got the train to Stroud and used the pub as a base for some accessible and nice walks. A very good base for seeing the surrounding countryside.

This stay was amazing! A wonderful and accommodating staff, clean living area, and delicious restaurant downstairs. Do not hesitate to book a stay here. This has become our favorite stay on our holiday!

Charming 16th century Inn, with an authentic pub, great ambiance, in a historic village. The restaraunt has fabulous food, the service was great. If I could give this a higher review I would. This was our favorite stay in our village hopping southern England tour!

Nice hotel, unfortunately very warm room under roof when it's a hot day. No airco. Ideal for tourists, no breakfast served before 8.30 AM, continental breakfast in front of the door in the morning as an alternative for the businessmen starting early.

Lovely place, lovely position. Restaurant not open on Mondays but recommended an Italian nearby - well worth it but do book! A couple of items that detracted for us ... because it's SO quiet we became more aware on unusual noises outside, and our room was at the end by the road so once traffic started in the morning we became acutely aware and awoke earlier than we woudl have hoped. The other issue was the height of the bedroom ceiling - we were in the eaves so there's limited headroom.

The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. The facilities in the room were excellent and the little touches like fresh milk daily and biscuits made the stay more pleasant.

Good room and good evening meals and breakfast. The bed was too soft for me. The room is above the bar and you can hear the bar noise until about 10.30 in the evening.

Fabulous stay, great room, very clean and great staff. Fantastic breakfast too! A note for the owners…..we stayed in The Vally room, a decent light with a mirror is needed! My husband couldn’t see to shave and I couldn’t see a thing! Plus a plug near a mirror to be able to use the hairdryer.

Very quick one night stay for NYE get together in Stroud. Place is an ideal location and venue for a short stay. Great access to good walks and pubs!

Lovely location and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We were just passing through but, are planning to return next year.
