Quaint little hotel. We only wanted to sleep and expected just a bed and bathroom which is nothing more. However, quiet place, very friendly front staff, close to the lake front and great coffee shops.

Basic but clean and well designed

The door was open 24/7 so people who were jetlagged (like me) could come in and out without any problem.

Very close to Paradies station (1 stop from main station) and the lake. 30 min walk to the city centre along the shore. Dining places close by. Usual standard ibis budget furniture. Surprisingly great breakfast buffet for a budget hotel!

It was the worst I ever stay. Never will I book this hotel anymore. Staff are rude, unfriendly, no kettle for hot water. No supply of drinking water.

Very basic hotel. I stayed many tlms lbls hotels But this bed was the worst one. Breakfast was good. Location good. But room comfortable was bery bad

Good hotel for overnight stay in Lugano

Very friendly late evening check-inn, friendly morning staff. Overall very nice. 1 negative, very hard bed.

Nice hotel but staff was not helpful or friendly.

It was extremely hot night and there was no air conditioning available, no hair dryer, no iron, no fridge nothing. Horrible small room with 2 towels and 2 soap bars that is it. Would not recommend this place. Super expensive but you dont get anything.

- Very unfriendly reception staff - Breakfast is a rip off, very limited selection in the basement- (for the same price we had handmade pastries in Grand Cafe Al Porto in the best and most expensive cafe in Lugano)

On August 10, 2022 at around 08:30-09:00, I went to the breakfast area to check what kind of food/breakfast is being served. I was checking if there are continental breakfast available (scarmbled egg, sausage, bacon etc.). Unfortunately, there wasn’t. I was aproached by a female staff (wearing a black top and a pony-tailed hair). She asked for my room number and I provided her our room number. I told her that “I want to check first what kind of breakfast you serve”. Thats when she ROLLED HER EYES on me, literally rolled her eyes on my face! It was an unpleasant experience and so I left with my family. I went to the front desk and talked to the male staff. I asked the guy if I can talk to the Manager, Supervisor to report the incident. All of a sudden, this guy cannot understand me and said “I dont understand what you mean”. I remember when we first checked in, staffs speak very good english and when I started complaining they cannot understand me ??? So I have to explain it slowly and clearly about the incident, and the only thing the guy said to me was “No manager today”. I asked, is there anybody I can talk to to complain. The guy said “Nobody”. I asked the guy for the name of the female staff and said that he cannot do it for privacy and I understand that. The front desk guy talked to the lady on the breakfast area briefly and that was it, didn’t offer any help to us. Aug. 11 at 09:10am, we checked out, same guy at the frontdesk did not say a word to us! :(

Budget it is exept the price $200 night. Small cheep looking rooms, toilet door basically a painted plywood on hinges. Got a room on top floor that had no air conditioning and with the heat wave this summer was impossible to stay in. We ended up going to a different hotel and they couldn’t refund anything because we booked a non refundable option, lesson learned. Reception area has nice big windows overlooking a pool that is not for the budget guests.

As expected. I have stayed many times, the same issues still. Noise from adjpining rooms, especially with children in, HOT-COLD Shower experience is unpleasant! But it is priced OK for the overexpensive Lugano hotel scene. Convenient quartier near lago.

Somehow, I liked the hotel. Location was in a nice, quiet, clean area. Public transit, restaurants and grocery stores were within couple of minutes of a walking distance. Inside the hotel was really basic, well maintained and clean. The two small elevators were a bit slow and busy most of the time. I was expected more from the receptionist to be prepared and provide the standard information but I had to ask everytime. Maybe there were overwhelmed that week.

About one min walk to the funicular station which is a must do if the weather is good. Perfect for a two day stay to explore Lugano with our dog. Very basic rooms but did the job and helpful staff. Only down side is not being able to control AC temperature in the room, not ideal in summer, room was too hot with the window only opening a few inches. Otherwise a great base for exploring the area.

Great hotel in a good location (2 min walk to the lake). Very modern and clean, awesome breakfast.

Small room but we were travelling light so it was perfect. It was super cute and made great use of space.Breakfast was really good. The free scooters (subject to deposit) were AWESOME, perfect to see the city on that beautiful sunny day. All in all I loved it, was expecting a lot worse but this hotel manages to stay budget and nevertheless maintain good standards. That makes it excellent in my book.
