Good service, Excellent staff, but thumbs down for letting people smoke around the swimming pool

I and my wife recently stayed at Holiday Inn for one night while exploring Yosemite National Park, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, just a short drive to the park’s entrance, which made it incredibly convenient for daily excursions.

The staff were super nice and friendly! The pool was down for maintenance but they allowed us access to use the other 2 hotel pools in the strip of hotels. Breakfast was good before heading out on our hike!

Lovely Hotel but the pool was not available as it was in repair. Two ice makers were not working. Bed was very hard, but we are used to a very soft mattress. It was a super clean facility and friendly staff. The breakfast was great.

Rooms were clean and comfortable but a few things were below standard. No tissues, no body wash or soap for shower. Beds we’re good. Only coffee in room available was decaf. Pool was unavailable. Breakfast was very basic. No half and half for coffee. Frozen omelettes from a package. Edible but not enjoyable. Shower dripped. Way overpriced.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Staying at this hotel was easily the worst experience of my life. Where do I even begin? From the moment I stepped foot in this nightmare, everything that could go wrong did. The front desk staff were not only rude but also incompetent. It took nearly an hour just to check in because they couldn’t find my reservation, even though I had the confirmation email right in front of them. They finally gave me a room, but it was all downhill from there. The room itself was beyond disgusting. The carpet was stained with what I can only hope was just old food, but judging by the smell, it could have been anything. The sheets on the bed were clearly unwashed, with visible stains and hair from previous guests. The pillows felt like bags of rocks, and the mattress was so lumpy it might as well have been stuffed with garbage. The bathroom was a whole new level of filth. Mold covered the ceiling and the shower curtain, which was barely hanging on by a few rusty hooks. The water pressure was nonexistent, and when water did come out, it was either scalding hot or freezing cold. There were no toiletries provided, and when I asked for some at the front desk, they told me they were "out of stock." How does a hotel run out of basic toiletries? In general everything was fine, the bad thing was that the hotel pool was not in use, and that in the room where I stayed there were no Kleenex boxes that apparently a room has to have, but everything was fine, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean.

Didn’t like the fact that we were assigned a room with a broken A/C. It felt as if the front desk personnel already knew about it. There was no hot vegetarian breakfast option. Waffle machine was broken. No shower soap available. Swimming pool was not functional. No front desk personnel was available during check out. Someone from another department helped but was not able to provide a printout of the bill. The staff was good. They handled all issues professionally and politely. A discount was provided. Room was clean.
