Friendly staff and cute space. Definitely a stay every time I visit!

Fantastic location in downtown Murphy. You can walk to everything. We have stayed here several times - the motel is old but very well maintained and clean. Murphy is a fun town.

It was a nice little motel, very quiet. Clean room. The staff was very friendly, and I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.

A very comfy place with a cute theme! The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. I love visiting Murphy, NC, and I would definitely come back and stay at the Sunset Motel again.

I booked the Sunset Motel before seeing it, so was a little leery. This is the BEST motel ever. I could tell it was an old property but it had been completely remodeled. I have never stayed anywhere that smelled so clean...not bleachy or smelly cover-up, but CLEAN. No smoking in rooms, but chairs and ashtrays were outside of each room with front door parking. They had a screen porch with TV and chairs, a small library and games that would be so family-friendly. The whole property was decorated in 70's flower power, hit record album covers and VW beetles. So much thought and love went into this motel. Wish more places could be as nice for the really cheap price!

Room was cute, tidy and clean for our stay. Bed wasnt that comfortable, may be time for a new ones. The bathroom was decent, but the toilet felt wobbly and there was no exhaust fan while showering, so you had to open the window to let steam out. No screens. Also while there, we sat out front in chairs provided to have our coffee. The cleaning woman was very rude telling us "they would be walking back and forth" while cleaning the rooms. Basically saying we were in her way, and was told "you are more than welcome to go sit in the sitting area", which was for smokers, and we clearly were not! Dont have chairs out front if you cant sit in them.

We loved our stay! The rooms were cute and clean. Easy walk to a lot of restaurants and shopping. We will definitely stay here again.

Very enjoyable. The motel had complimentary water in the fridge. Housekeeping made our bed and brought fresh towels daily. The day before we left a basket with fruit, mini muffins and breakfast bars was placed on the table in our room. We will definitely stay there again. We slept very well in the comfortable bed.

Peaceful and close to everything

This motel is amazing!! The location couldn’t be better. You are minutes away from shopping, restaurants and even a movie theatre. The room was spotless and very nicely put together. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet which was surprising given the close proximity to the road and nightlife. The price was very reasonable. And they give you a lovely healthy breakfast basket! The staff is very nice and check in/check out is very easy. Highly recommend and will return! 😁

Hands down the BEST Motel I've ever stayed. I've never seen a "nice" motel--it was super clean, staff was very friendly, accommodations were better than expected and it just looked nice. Like most Motels the walls are a bit thin, so you can expect to hear noise from your neighbors, but that's true at any Motel. Definitely wll stay here again

It's a small and cozy place, a traditional pop & mom motel (like 10 rooms). It got everything one needs to stay: a bed (or two), a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, an A/C and a heater, TV and a chest of drawers, of course a restroom with a shower, towels and room service. All for really attractive prices. It also has nice artistic touch. It's lightly but visibly decorated in "old times" theme - Route 66 and Marylin Monroe are looking at ya. I was there twice. First time everything was absolutely smooth, the second time the Wi-Fi constantly went down, I had to use my mobile as a hot spot. I'm sure they'll fix the Wi-Fi. But also there was a little breakfast basket gift with snacks and fruits. I'm wishing them the best.

Booked the room last minute. It was cute, no frills, but what I needed. The WiFi was weak so that was a bummer. Otherwise a pleasant stay.
