Dated hotel, dated rooms needs an upgrade

Clean, quiet hotel near university. Easy half hour walk though nice parks to center.

We have stayed here twice and it would be our choice of hotel in Burgos. Friendly reception, good (and improved) breakfast, good sized rooms. Not in the centre of town but next to the old university buildings which are worth a visit. Plenty of free parking either at the hotel or in the street.

The hotel rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff are very accommodating and I managed even to get a meal in the evening after 11 pm, nothing seemed to much travel for the staff. Although the hotel is around a half an hour walk to the centre but I enjoyed my stroll along the river bank.

Second time staying with our dog - hotel has everything we need and is ideally situated just outside centre ( 30mins walk) with car parking. We have eaten both times in the restaurant - this time trying the casa special of roast lamb. Lovely walk along the river to Burgos and through a large park - is a lovely old city and we will stay again/revisit

Very elegant hotel with a good (but a little bit expansive) restaurant. It is well connected by bus to the town.

A very warm welcome from the receptionist, who told us about local things we could see (university and monastery). Pleasant, clean and relaxing hotel in a quiet area, but only a 20 minute walk into the old town. The town centre and riverside walks are delightful.

We were more than pleasantly surprised when we arrived! We were expecting a lot less than what we received! The price was why we booked it & the place was far above our expectations! Extremely friendly staff, very clean & comfortable room! The adjoining restaurant was superb! The location may not suit everyone, if they want to be in the center of town, but was a pleasant walk through the park and along the river or less than 5 Euro for a cab from the cab stand across the river from the Cathedral. I would highly recommend this place and already have to friends that are traveling there soon!

We have stayed in this hotel since it exists and befote yhat in the old hotel.

Room was spacious, but was very dark and only had a tiny window far up, that only marginally opened. Basically a room without daylight. The room smelled like old cigarette smoke - even though we had booked a non-smoking room. Very unpleasant.

Most friendly and helpful receptionist (Mariluz) ever, so lovely and great first impression of hotel. Couldnt have been more sweet, If nothing else had gone right with hotel this lady ensured I would have left with a good impression. Fortunately everything about the hotel was exceptional, and I dont give praise lightly. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in both bar where we had lunch and restaurant where we had dinner. Food was beyond good and great value for money and service in both places attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I could go on but suffice it to say I was very pleased with my stay, and although short and sweet this time, I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.
