Shower did not work well. Bathroom was flooded due to a improper seals for the shower doors. That is the first such experience for me in nearly 30 years of my travel.

Excellent and best included breakfast options by far in Iceland! Hot tubs were very useful after a tiring day hike and it felt heavenly.
Very large spacious rooms and a good sized bathroom.

Wonderful stay. My wife and I booked a last minute trip to Iceland, this hotel popped up as available. The hotel tucked back in some wilderness made us feel as if we were home in Michigan. We loved it. Staff was wonderful as well.

Best place Ive stayed in Iceland. The staff were very friendly and the owner was such a sweetheart. It has a bed and breakfast feel and made me feel like I was right at home. If you are looking for something that isnt a standard impersonal hotel this is the place.

Despite initial skepticism, renting at this location exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed my stay, it is a bit isolated but this makes it great for anyone traveling to Iceland, especially during the Aurora months.
I highly recommend this hotel for the price, the rooms will surprise you at this price.

Due to the non-adjustable underfloor heating, it was very hot all night.
The light in the bathroom, which turn on automatically and turn off after very long time, was annoying.
But otherwise very friendly and helpful staff.

This was our favorite hotel out of the 10 hotels we stayed in. The cabin was adorable. This was the inly hotel we slept in and hung out in the living room drinking tea. The reception was kind enough to show us yo the cabin and let us know when and where we could see the Northern Lights and we most assuredly did.

We stay at this hotel because there was a wind storm on Iceland but the staff was very nice and help my friend with their room also. The bed was comfortable. We stay only for one night!

Lovely property tucked in a corner of Egilsstadir. Was snowing heavily around so did not get to enjoy much of the views around here. The owner was very friendly and gave us some tips about the area. Would definitely recommend this hotel and town as a stop if you are doing the ring road.

Great lounge area for relaxing at end of day.

Booked 2 triple sharing cottages in early April. Cottages were in a quiet area away from the road and reception. One had a small kitchenette which was perfect for us (3 generation of 5) as we could cook our noodles as it was too cold to go out for dinner. My granddaughter was delighted as she could build snowman with the snow outside our cottages. Heating elements were good; we felt cozy and warm in our cottages.

This hotel room was updated and clean in a great location. The owner was very accommodating. You can tell they work very hard to keep this beautiful hotel running.
My only issue with this hotel, similar to other Iceland hotels, was the shower. The shower curtain kept sticking to my skin because the space is so small. The other issue is the lip for the drainage is not high enough, so it makes a mess all over the floor. This is a really common issue in Iceland and I'm not sure how they could fix it. I didn't mark them down for this but I just wish I had known about it.
Otherwise a great place to stay.

Charming property above town. Nice hot tubs off main building. Cabins set in woods were cozy. Nice breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
