Mother Earth is a unique and fun experience. It is not your run of the mill hotel. They have it decorated in a cool vibe that makes your stay there fun. Large pool in the center of the Motels with fountains and a Putt Putt course to play on too. Right downtown Kinston and walking distance to the Brewery.

Mother Earth Motor Lodge is so retro and fun! The staff & service were the best. Everyone we met and had interactions with were smiling, friendly and knowledgeable. They had all of my info correct and check in and out were a breeze. No hidden surprises and the rate was reasonable. Mom and I had a suite, with televisions in both rooms which made it nice for her to watch TV in one side and me in another if we wanted. The rooms were adorable with all the retro colors and crazy bedspreads! Everything was very clean and even the pillows were the kind I like! The bed was firm, and I was a bit achy since I am an old fart now, but still comfortable. It was great to have a Keurig with the pods in the room, a microwave to heat or cook and a refrigerator for leftovers and food. The complimentary breakfast room was well stocked with all the things Mom liked for breakfast, including fresh fruits and the great waffle iron to make your own waffles! The pool area was wonderful and well kept with palm trees and tropical plants that don't usually grow in that area I found out. The fountains ran full time into the pool and made ambient noise to hide other room noises, hopefully enough to hide my little dog Obi barking at the window in the front of my room when people walked past. Obi was well received by all the staff, including treats at the front reception when we checked in. He was allowed all over the property, and it made me feel very welcome since he is so much a part of me.

We take our granddaughter to Kinston and stay at Mother Earth lodge annually. This year was a little different. They wanted to charge a fee for putt putt and shuffleboard. Thank goodness the staff used common sense and let us play for free. The amenities are the reason our grandkids want to stay there. Overall, our experience was very good.

What a hidden gem! We loved it and cannot wait for a reason to go back and stay again. First and foremost: the motel was very clean. The room, the lobby, the property in general were all nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful - such a great experience. This motor lodge itself has so much character! A real blast from the past. We love mid-century and this place was awesome. I only hope the new owners are able to keep it clean and well-kept with the same friendly service as we had this trip. I am sure that as more people get to know about the Mother Earth Motor Lodge it will get to be a very popular place indeed.

Staff super friendly & this was the cleanest place I have stayed at in regards to hotels or motels hands down. Also it is unique and kid friendly with a pool, put put mini course, and shuffle board. Affordable & overall a nice little quiet place to stay when you’re away from home.

This was the absolute cutest and most comfortable suite I have stayed in in a while!! Staff was so nice, view to the pool from the room was great and the amenities were on point! Did not disappoint and I am happy for that! Pet friendly as well ❤️

Mother Earth Motor Lodge is a gem. The property is perfectly renovated. It is like the 1950s. Rooms are great. Pool is great. The staff is outstanding. My wife and I strongly recommend the Lodge.

The staff was wonderful!!! It is so nice to interact with kind people. I will say this…the pool was beautiful! The best motel pool I’ve ever experienced. Too, there was a mini golf area which the grandchildren loved. They had grills, a picnic area, shuffle board, ping pong and a relaxing porch swing area. I would definitely go back.

Super fun place and the staff were really friendly! Finally a motel that doesn’t have depressing decor! My only complaints are that there should be soap by the sink in the kitchenette so you can wash your hands, and the pool fountains, while beautiful, were so loud that it wasn’t very relaxing to be outside in the pool area.

We were only there a short time, but will definitely be back. I loved the retro feel of this hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. Being right by the pool we were concerned about noise, but even with kids outside we barely heard any noise.
Staff was very polite and welcoming. There was an issue with another guest at the front desk as we were leaving, but I felt the clerk was handling it gracefully.

Only complaint is my room was a room pets were allowed in and it had a bit of an odd smell, but it was clean. I didn’t have a pet with me so it would’ve been nice to get a different room.

Very nice stay, clean & great staff! Stayed Friday to Monday. I'll definitely be back! This is better than the newer hotels. Nice pool, miniature golf & lounge areas all made it worth while. We really enjoyed ourselves.

We had seen this spot a couple of years back when driving through Kinston, and we finally made a weekend trip to stay. This motor lodge is a dream. The front staff was wonderful and kind, they sell their local beer right there, they have popcorn in the lobby and had cookies fresh baked when we arrived, and they have a cute little breakfast nook. Their rooms are all completely renovated but with original bathroom tile, and they are spotless. The renovations are a nod to the past, but they also are modern and comfy. The ac worked so well too, and the bed was really comfy. Everything worked well and I literally have nothing but positive comments. If you are on the fence, come and stay. The area doesn't have a ton to do, but there are cute restaurants and it is also close to the coast for a cheaper price. :) I even got a little car sticker and keychain on the way out the door because I wanted to help advertise this cute spot. There are not a ton of motor lodges left, and seeing this one restored so well is wonderful.
