Awesome location and views. Breakfast buffet was free and delicious. No mini fridge in room.

Nice hotel with standard accommodations suitable for couples or groups. Lots of room here and a great buffet for breakfast. They also offered dinner. About a 10-15 min drive to Reyjsfanara beach.

Hótel in a beautiful location. Rooms were older but bathrooms updated and very large and clean. Breakfast had a good variety. Parking was plentiful. Able to see the Northern Lights while we were there as well!

Beautiful location. Only 12-15 mins to heart of Vik. Comfortable rooms and beds. Tv. Beautiful view of glacier and beach. The breakfast was fastastic

Good breakfast, but the coffee machine was not great. Other hotels had a much better machine. Also we were surprised to not fine yogurt is such a large offering for breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was good. The room itself was decent. Great views and close to black sand beaches!

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are not fancy but they are clean, modern and spacious. The hotel offered a good breakfast with the rate.

Hótel Dyrhólaey is a very conveniently located property, just outside downtown Vik. It is on top of a hill, with a nice view of the ocean. The property is well maintained. Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean with ample space to move around. Breakfast Buffet has a lot of options. Overall, I will give it 4.5 stars.

Excellent hotel with a view!

A very enjoyable stay! We got one of the bigger rooms which was really nice. The room was updated and clean. A good location up on the hill overlooking the landscape. Breakfast was fantastic too. Definitely recommend!

This is a pretty big property. There were a lot of tour buses there, which made the breakfast buffet quite crowded at certain hours. That said, our sleeping hours were very quiet. Our only complaint is that the gym hours were not posted and it was locked when we wanted to work out first thing in the morning.

Very expensive for what you get. Older hotel small dated room but very clean. Bathroom was spotless but for $300 a night one would expect more. Breakfast was adequate but when I asked for a to go cup for a cup of coffee I was told that’s an extra $3.00. You have got to be kidding. It’s also very popular with the tour buses check in was crazy. Of course you are limited in hotels for the area. But the next night we stayed at the hotel Skógafoss was $40 cheaper the room was much larger, newer and clean. And better dining facilities Do yourself the favor and drive 20 minutes.

Great location and view. Close to vik (where we got dinner). Would not recommend the breakfast however it is included so maybe just don’t eat the eggs. Room was small and tv didn’t work but the heated floors were a perk.

View in front of the hotel is great, our room surprisingly had a few mosquitos considering it’s cold in Iceland

This property is tired looking and a bit rundown. The outside of the property needs some attention. Overpriced for what you get.

The room was great, very clean and spacious. The service in the restaurant and the food on the other hand was not good. The chicken was very dry and tasteless. Our veitress did not understand english very well and gave us the wrong drinks and did not ubderstand when we asked for the check. That draged down the overall expreience.

Friendly staff, clean and simple accommodations and a comfy bed after a full day being outdoors!

This was the best accidental booking ever. The view was spectacular, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff were very kind. I did not regret anything about this booking, and already have marked it down to go again!

Had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Dyrholaey. This hotel is popular among tour groups, so it tends to get crowded but since we were here for only 1 night, it did not bother us. We were provided a spacious room which was quite pleasant. The breakfast spread is also quite vast. We felt the hotel did its job based on how it is positioned. We got a classic 3-4 star experience and this was very much in line with our expectations. Do not expect a very luxurious stay and you will not be disappointed.
