The room was amazing. I rang up to try to upgrade but the manager assured me that we had a good room. And it felt like the best. For a standard room [rice we had a large ground floor room with an entrance to a patio and the lovely back garden. The staff were amazing and so helpful , and the breakfast and lunch were excellent.

I’ve got to say the staff were second to none. I had an appointment at 1pm and due to a missed train connection got to the hotel at 12.50. They went out of their way to make sure I was there on time.
All the staff I encountered were very friendly and the night porter was great. He had a very exuberant crowd in until 4am and managed them really well.
If I have to find something to improve on, it would be the shower in my room. Not very powerful and not particularly warm. But that was minor and made up for by the fact I had a great view of Ailsa Craig.

A step back in time with our stay at this beautiful property. I left my backpack behind when we left, and the staff was super helpful reuniting me with the same.

Hotel clean and well presented. Food excellent. Staff friendly and service efficient. It would have been a perfect stay if they hadn't charged us for 2 bottles of wine and 2 pints instead of 1 of each! Apologies were made but then I was issued with 2 new bills! Get organised and you'll be up there with the best!

Best dog friendly hotel stayed at, room was clean bright & spacious with wee sea view but wee bit dated, staff were excellent, friendly but professional, very attentive nothing was too much trouble Mackenzie even had sausages fir his breakfast, evening meal was superb, was fish special & they served cocktails m, beach 2 min walk, town centre 10 min walk

We were absolutely delighted to have found this hotel, it was delightful. The breakfast was superb, freshly cooked and served by very pleasant staff. The room was comfortable and recently decorated. Very satisfied guests, thank you.

Room dated and needs some repair but the view was lovely and also the room was quiet & we slept well. Nice gesture to serve us breakfast early as we were setting off earlier than breakfast started. Nice location next to the beach. Staff friendly and kind to our dog.

Just had a lovely couple of nights here. Staff are extremely helpful and made our time there amazing.
Food is delicious and the conservatory was the perfect place for dinner.

We have stayed at he South Beach Hotel before and this visit did not disappoint in any way. The room was comfortable and everything worked. The breakfast was superb - we will certainly stay agan when next in the area.

A great place to stay. A short walk to the beach and some amazing views of all the islands off in the distance. The village offers some shopping and restaurants, but would definitely recommend eat at the hotel the food was great.
I would recommend staying here.

Very friendly and helpful staff. My room was beautiful, luxuriously finished and very generously sized, including the bathroom which had a full size bath with shower over the top. The bed was clean, comfy and warm. The breakfast was very tasty and they were happy to accommodate my needs for a gluten free meal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at South Beach Hotel. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. All staff were warm and friendly and quick to help. The food was plentiful and freshly cooked - a real treat to be served fresh at breakfast, instead of the usual tired buffet. This is a family run hotel that seems to serve and be loved by the local community, not a faceless chain. The only criticism, only very minor, would be that there seemed be ‘stuff’ around in the corridors when cleaning, and a bit of a clutter of extra furniture. in such areas.

Staff were amazing, hotel has a certain character about it however beds could do with toppers to enhance comfort, shower was hit & miss & WiFi was certainly not available in all rooms.

The first thing we had to do, was ask for additional heating, the double glazing in the room was not draught free, in fact one of the windows had a broken handle. Next I had to repair the built in wardrobe, the door was hanging off the top runner. In the bathroom the right hand door of the vanity unit, the handle was very loose & unsecure. The shower when in use ran hot and cold. The door to the room requires attention, you had to bang it shut for it to close. One good point the staff were excellent and very helpful.
