A tad dated decor but clean and spacious

This is a standard older motel located close to Katoomba with fair access off the highway. We enjoyed our overnight upstairs stay on a comfortable zipped king bed but found the one pillow per sleeper inadequate. Good aircon, necessary for climate. Nice view from large window.

Very clean friendly staff close to attractions

Helpful and friendly staff worked to get us the room that would work the best. Everything was good in the room. Location across the highway from town center was not to convenient but we had a car so was manageable. Only distraction was lots of highway noise.

Motel would be great for someone with a car. Tucked just off the highway. Sidewalks and cross a major interchange before the train station, walkway, upstairs to town. Staff was very helpful.

As most motels in Australia every thing is clean and fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster are provided. Good value and quick driving access to all local attractions and businesses

This property unfortunately does not meet what you would expect in a motel of today The internet while it is free might aswell not exist as it cuts out every 2 minutes There is no spare pillows and only 2 on a king bed There was only two power points in the room and one of them was for the tv We had to unplug the bed light to charge our phone They advertise room service but no menu or phone to ring anyone I will give this motel a wide birth next time

Price

We stayed at the Alpine Motel at Katoomba because we were visiting a patient in the nearby hospital. The room was very good, spacious and clean. The walkways were not immaculately clean and the carpark was showing its age but we have seen much worse in recent years. We will quite likely stay there again.

The property description is pre covid. Now no bar , no restrant,. This should have been udated by now. Room showing age. Beds and pillows very uncomfortable. Front desk staff great. We would not book this place again as it is falsely decriped on both this site and their site

Enjoy evocative and filmic misty Mountain Views through the double glazed windows of this classic 60s motor inn. Comfy bed against lovely imitation rosewood headboard with wall mounted soft reading lights. Quiet and peaceful - we had an upstairs room. Write your road tripping novel here.

Staff were very accommodating. Accommodation clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend for short break.

The room was clean and tidy. Soundproofing is great!!

Very clean, had a connection issue with the tv at first but on asking reception to help he came immediately and fixed it right away. No problems after that. The motel is great for an overnight stop over as right off the motorway. Driveway is a little hidden but they have put signage up as much as possible. Only complaint is the mini fridge is very tiny, so if you have cold things to store you won’t be able to store much. But it’s a very niche issue as we had a birthday cake on hand! Very grateful for our stay and great value for money. The extra blankets provided are super cozy and heating works well. Also the resident cat that wanders outside it adorable and super friendly!!

The manager was very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, clean, fresh. The linen was fresh and crisp

Easy check in, clean and tidy room, however I'd recommend bringing your own pillows as they were very thin.

It is a nice, clean property with lots of room in the King size bedroom. Right by the GWH but the sound doesn't filter into the room. Close to Katoomba town center (5min drive) for your dining options.

My room was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities I could possibly need. The staff were very nice and the Hotel is in a great location. I was very impressed and will definitely stay again on future trips.

Room was clean and comfortable

Room was comfy and warm during the cold nights. Bathroom was clean, plenty hot water after out hiking in the area. Situated near the main road with petrol station across the road. We could hear cars passing but it wasn’t too much of a concern. It would be nice if 2 pillows instead of one ppl. It was a good 2 nights get away, nothing fancy but it was comfortable. There’s a laundry room but we didn’t need to use it. There’s plenty of parking.
