The hotel has roaches and a funny smell. We were there for a wedding and they had an iron and no ironing board, which was a big inconvenience. We will never stay there again. I don’t know how this place got an 8.2 rating.

This was the second time we stayed at Valli Hi Motel. The 1st. time I was very comfortable and the service was good, although I did get some kind of bug rash all over my body...You are probably why I would book the second time, well like I said the place was comfortable and the service was good, so I thought I'll give it another shot..
This second time was not so great at all... As soon as we stepped into the room we notice the toilet was leaking, and the tv had no signal, and there was no phone in the room (so I had to walk all the way to the from desk to let them know around 11pm). Then supervisor or owner decided he wanted to come check the toilet and the TV at that same time (after some of us were already in pj's) he didn't even ask if it was OK to check at this time. I just think he should have waited until the next morning, considering the time. And for last, the room had roaches and spiders...

The room seemed very nice and clean to visual appearance, however I had to switch rooms due to horrible rashes, which at first I thought was due to bed bugs. Overall the service and room were ok and comfortable. I just feel that although I was switched rooms, I should have not been charged for at least my last night stay due to the problem . I usually request not to get room service after just one night, until the second. I was told that because I didn't allow room service it was my fault that I got the rashes. I found that to be not only wrong but offensive.

This is a horrible hotel. The sheeta were so masty that my wife and i slept with our clothes on for faer of cobtacring something.

Stayed here for a quick trip to San Diego. This hotel was clean and felt safe. Customer service was great and there was nearby food and easy access to freeway.

The room was bigger than I thought. The bad part was people smoking outside on the second floor of the cigarette smoke came inside the hotel room

The staff was pleasant. The property is in a good area. But we had cockroaches in the room and it needs a lot of work. They give you minimal amount of towels and blankets. There is a horrible smell at the property.

Room is a good size. The bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping could do a better job. We found a couple of dead worm like insects. We're familiar with the area. We felt safe.

I love Valli Hi! I have been going for two years and have never had a bad experience. The staff is always excellent and friendly. The rooms are always very clean.

For a short stay and convenient location it met and exceeded all expectations. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and recently renovated. Not like your typical big chain motels that are tacky and disgusting. Will recommended 👌

Not sure if he was the manager or not but the guy up front was rude. Sink was dirty when I showed up and the blankets had a few burn holes on it. Other than that the housekeeping staff were super sweet and brought me clean towels every day. The area is pretty quiet and felt safe I walked to multiple places nearby. It’s about 10 mins from the boarder too so pretty convenient for me.

It’s a Great value and nice to be able to walk less than 100 yards to McDonalds or the Convenience Store. A 4-5 minute drive to the Border Crossing.

It was OK. It's an older place but if you're looking for an inexpensive place to crash, it does the job. Right next door to McD. Plenty of TV channels. Would rate the service higher but they missed a day of changing towels and taking out trash.

Everything about my room was good and clean. Except the floor. The floor was disgusting. I took my shoes off and walked to the bathroom and back to the chair and my socks where "black". The floor had not been thoroughly cleaned in a long, long time.
