This was a relaxing visit, the room was comfortable and private. My only complaint is that I could hear the staff working upstairs and the parking lot/road to my room was too dimly lit.

My girlfriend and I had a delightful all round experience at Quiet Mind. From the moment we arrived the lobby doors were opened by a warm gentleman who was so kind and greeted us by name. Adam the manager seated us checked us in and provided us with delicious and healthy welcome drinks. Our room was offered for an early check in (complimented) and had the most stunning views of the lake. We took advantage of their concierge services to pre plan our trip and so enjoyed the chef prepared meals for our entire stay which were all organic and fresh! Highly recommended Chef Rosie’s meals. The jacuzzi and yoga room were both so relaxing and we had such a relaxing and romantic weekend getaway. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

The most friendly staff ever. If you ever choose to come here, you would keep coming over and over, it’s a unique place like no other. You should come and see for yourself.

We wanted to have a quiet weekend for relaxation and that is exactly what we got by staying here. The staff was very friendly and quickly responded to any questions we had. The room was wonderful with an amazing view of the lake, the bed was very comfortable and the property sits in a very quiet area without any noise to worry about. It is not far from the town of Julian for dining options. They do have one restaurant at the lake that was just ok. We were happy to take advantage of their continental breakfast, which had plenty of delicious options to choose from. We enjoyed the sunrise and sunsets from our room and balcony and we saw many dear around the property, which we absolutely loved. We certainly would recommend it and would stay again without hesitation

I booked this trip over one month ahead. I received text messages as well as emails from the hotel welcoming me to my future trip and asking if I wanted to book activities in their hotel. Upon arrival they said a water pipe burst near my room and my room was no longer available. They said they tried reaching out to me two days prior as well as that morning but I never received anything. it is very strange that they emailed and texted it to me the whole month but today’s before my booking they can’t get a hold of me to let me know not to come to the property. I drove over an hour to arrive and for them to tell me they have no room for me. Everything in the area was booked so I had to drive back home. Extremely horrible experience. I will definitely not book with this hotel again I will not risk it.

it's the second time we've stayed there, and it is always so relaxing, full of comfort and short distance to Julian to go get pie...super short from the lake, and such a nice view

Fantastic restful peaceful retreat near Anza Borrego, overlooking the lake.

Not well lit at night.

I found out from some locals that this used to be a nursing home I guess that is why there is a creepy feeling there. Our room was extremely noisy all night long. I could hear what sounded like an ejector pump. I could hear things crawling in the walls. I got no sleep there at all The room was very dusty, shower leaks. Our room was in the basement, which smelled very damp and moldy. There’s no phones in the room had to use our cell phone to contact staff and cell service is sketchy, so I could not get reception to reach the staff except for one time. issues kept popping up all night long, and I was unable to reach anyone to help us This entire facility is in dire need of repair. The entire facility is dusty, dirty, smells damp and moldy. The decor is haphazard at best with junky, leftover furniture from the 1980s with the Buddha theme,, No elevator. had to carry suitcases down a long, narrow, dark set of steps. there’s no way to lock your bedroom door. I was scared and creeped out the entire night two big pros number one I survived the night and number two I got to leave in the morning I will never be back what a waste of $300. This is the absolute worst place I have ever stayed.

Peaceful and rejuvenating

The staff is always so nice and helpful. The view of the lake and the quiet is very relaxing.

If you’ve got any level of yoga or meditation practice and you’re always wishing you could just eat some nice easy veg cooking when traveling instead of chicken tenders and Caesar salad, this place will be right up your alley!

It is a nice hotel, I personally was looking more of a cozy, comfortable, cabin type hotel, the decoration was a little too much for me, I didn't get to relax or felt I wanted to stay until check out time, the breakfast is very basic, I was expecting more variety and options vs the cost to stay here. The towels were old and damaged. Adam was very nice and courteous, he showed us the property and gave us some history of the hotel & owner background. 15 minutes away from Julian and nothing around but a Pub

Very quiet. No alcohol, smoking or talking on your cell phone outside. Very geared to relaxation and getting away from every day life. Perfect reset button

This place has gone down hill since my last stay. I paid more than I did for their lowest room vs. a suite. The hot water took 20 min. to get warm. The breakfast is dry bagels and plastic yogurt vs. the fresh croissants, and yogurt in the mason chairs with granola. No free sound bath. Hot tub visibly dirty.

I loved the concept, and I get there may be limited activities during the week. Great experience.

Beautiful views of Lake Cuyamaca, gorgeous, serene spots to read, do yoga or meditate, delicious vegetarian food, access to massage services on property... I just loved my stay!

We visited this retreat for Thanksgiving. Amazing atmosphere, ambiance and attention to detail and Sarah and Adam being there for all the patrons we met. Definitely telling friends about this gem and visiting back soon!

Peaceful place to stay. Staff is kind and very helpful. We added breakfast to our stay and it was very convenient, they also have a continental breakfast included. Overall stay was good.

A beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Very comfortable bed! A great hall to practice meditation. You will appreciate this place if you practice meditation and very quiet time.

My stay at Quiet Mind Mountain Lodge was defined by the incredible hospitality shown to me by it's staff. Sarah and Adam were available to answer questions, make accomodations, and provided an unforgettable experience for me and my significant other. If you are planning on having a celebration in Julian, I would recommend the celebration cake that the Resort offers. The cake is made by a local baker, and was one of the best butterscotch cakes I have ever had. Quiet Mind Mountain Lodge is affordable, private, clean, and an excellent option for travellers in the Julian area.

Relaxing retreat. Comfortable, clean, and great people. Resort staff are great. Had a wonderful massage. Breakfasts were delicious and filling. Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Easy drive into Julian, without the crowds and traffic of Julian. We will definitely be back. S&S

The property is like motel and didn't know that all Buddha statue all over even inside the hall. The staff is very nice and friendly. Even at 9pm he tried to fix clogged bathroom sink which we haven't used it. Good location and quiet area. Specially kitchen and dinning room has a nice lake view. In brief I would like to rate 3.5 out of 5.The room looks like motel but kitchen and dinning room is excellent. The staff is super nice !!

It was in a great location for Julian. The front desk staff was very kind and offered us any help that we needed. The lodge was very quiet and offered Disney Plus for our young daughter. We were able to grab a quick bite at the local pub across the way and the view of the lake was really wonderful. Great for a weekend getaway

We came for a day to get away from the heat! My partner and I had no idea it was a retreat centered around spiritual wellness. The staff was amazing and very friendly. I got to play my sound Bowles with the beautiful lake view. You can tell they paid extra attention to detail to make sure our stay was nothing less that great. The jacuzzi with the beautiful lake/mountain view just made it all even better. We can’t wait to rebook! I’d definitely feel safe here as a solo travel and as POC 🙏

Sarah was amazing and very helpful! Amazing view of the lake and stars at night. About a minute drive to the lake and only about 15 minutes to Julian! A must stay!
