I understand it was a small room but you could touch each wall, not that clean and the last night it was infested with flies. Only had one breakfast but the lady serving me could not have made me feel more unwelcome… poor service! A room without a TV !!!!

A lovely old pub. Quite simple but very clean and well furnished. The bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. The blinds let light in which was a bit annoying, also being a pub meant a constant supply of noisy punters leaving, but this stopped at around midnight then it was lovely and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great spot in Godalming for a small BandB type stay. Nice staff. Food at the restaurant is pretty good too. Good value for money.

Checking me in well but after that not much to say. No tv in room - mattress seen Better days, no fresh milk. Breakfast left outside room so I didn’t know was there until I came to leave. 2 porridge packets and a load of jars of jam and marmalade and I’m not sure what to do with the marmalade as I don’t have any butter or bread or pastry. Really poor for nearly £90 - won’t stay again

Bed and especially pillows really uncomfortable . Shower useless . Room clean and the included breakfast ok . We would have better staying at the premier inn

Room was clean and as described, plenty of bedding and towels, simple breakfast but freshly baked croissants was a win :) steep stairs up to our room and to the bathroom - it is noted on the description but high potential for slipping/hitting your head!

We had a great stay, and were given an alternative room that better matched our needs. Much appreciated.

So accommodating - let us drop our bags early for a wedding and lovely clean room and great breakfast

The single room was compact, well designed and nicely decorated. Breakfast was really good and more choice than I was expecting. Didn’t have room for the pastries after a carafe of juice, large bowl of berry fruit with yoghurt and a bacon buttie.

I had a great stay at the Rose and Crown, it was so convenient to where I had to get to daily. The staff were really friendly, I was on my own but felt very welcome. I had a great breakfast, I'm gluten free, but nothing was a problem.

Comfortable room though the en suite toilet was up some very steep steps with narrow treads and no handrail. Impressive that I had an email after booking about the limitations of the building but it would be better if it was in the original information on the website. Very friendly and helpful staff and excellent breakfast

We stopped the night at the rose and crown on our way to selsey we was greeted at the door and shown to our amazing quirky room the family suite which has a perfect mix of old and new it was really beautiful. We went down and was offered a complimentary drink ! Me and my husband were blown away by this it really is the little things that make this place great every one was helpful cheery and always smiling the food was just as good i really cant say anything bad about this place what a little gem. Were looking forward to returning without the child so we can work our way through there cocktail list and sit in there gorgeously decorated outdoor huts. Book it you will not be disappointed these guys know how to look after you.

Found a fabulous gem of a place to stay. Great value for money. Having the Juliet suite was a bonus for our family. Lovely breakfast in the morning provided with warm and friendly service. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely stay. Rooms had steep narrow stairs up to them, but they had thoughtfully mailed ahead to inform of this. Piano man in garden was charming. Staff were great, nothing was too much trouble, included mini screwdriver to fix glasses. Would highly recommend this place

For me it was a great first stay place after a long-haul journey to recharge and there was easy access to accommodation plus the local amenities.

Property was lovely rooms need somesort of air conditioning as were very warm breakfast was good but needs some healthier options like fat free yoghurt ,whole meal toast , poached eggs, bar food needs the same too

Lovely old pub and guest rooms. Polite welcoming staff. Children loved the cosy little separate rooms and quirky low doors. Its a really old building but decorated really tastefully with everything we needed. Great breakfast too. Beer garden and menu looked great but unfortunately we didnt have time to try it out.

Everything was great - infact we cancelled another hotel and booked here for a repeat stay. Excellent staff - all of them Gem of a find

Hotel was clean and good selection of craft beers. the bar is open late, which means there is some noise in the evenings - not a problem to us but might be for some.

Fabulous, friendly and rather quirky place, from bar, to garden, to room. Really gorgeous bar, excellent service and wonderful quiet comfy room with unusual but very pretty. One of the loveliest places I've had the pleasure to stay at.

Lovely friendly staff, quirky cute design, good location right in town and few minutes walk from train station. Definitely will re-book next time I'm in the area.
