One of our favorite hotels to stay at while we visit SLO. Having a kitchen is great when traveling with young children, and the pool is great. Staff is attentive and accommodating. Look forward to staying there again.

I have this 1 star because it was clean, otherwise it should be NO stars. We showed up on Thursday and used the pool at around 4, I called down for more towels we were told housekeeping was gone for the day, if I wanted towels I had to come down and get them. I had booked two queens, they are very small fulls that are very very hard mattresses, even my husband who complains about nothing commented how hard the mattress was. The housekeeping never came, there is only 1 choice every other day or no housekeeping, I had choose every other day, but by day 3 we still had full trash and no exchange of linen and it was piling up. I had to go down each day and get new linen. On the afternoon of the third day I called down and asked to speak to the manager (around 3p) I was told the manager is not onsite today. I then requested a call and gave my cell. We had 2 more days, never got a call. The lobby is kept clean, but that’s it, they neglect or simply don’t care about the customers. I will never return and have told many that I visited how asked where we were staying the situation so hopefully I can save some poor soul from our mistake of choosing this hotel.

For it being a newer Hotel, it had plenty of flaws. The worst being that our window didn’t lock, opened freely, we were on the first floor. Couldn’t accommodate for that. The stay was good but the experience was terrible. Lady at counter probably had the worst customer service possible, didn’t seem to care about the job. Being a huge Hotel chain, you would think they hire new friendly employees and give customers the best experience. That’s my experience, won’t stay there again.

Hotel does not have a backup power generator. There was a power outage during the stay and we were without electricity for most of the night. Very disappointed with the hotel. Expected better service from Marriott.

I really liked the energy conservation feature as well as the stocked kitchen in the studio suite. The property itself was nice but I wish there was a hot tub along with the pool.

The hotel was brand new and therefore, very clean and well maintained. It's in a slightly unusual location in between two new car dealerships but that didn't really come into play when at the hotel. It was conveniently located off the freeway and easy to access, easy on-site parking and had a decent included breakfast. The only negatives were the ice machine already being out of order on our floor and checkout (I stood at the front desk for almost 5 minutes waiting for someone to appear to check me out). When no one magically appeared from the manager's office, I went and loaded my car up in the parking lot and came back in to find someone attending the front desk this time and checkout was fast and efficient with email receipt for my stay. I would definitely stay here again if looking to split the difference between downtown SLO and Pismo Beach.

Air conditioning unit was super loud and without it the room was very warm

Love the roomy suites, new, clean, comfortable.

We made a last minute decision to visit family in SLO and discovered the brand new TownePlace Suites and were extremely happy with our decision to stay here! The staff was amazing and were so thoughtful with added gestures to make our stay wonderful! The room was very comfortable and clean and nicely appointed. We will now make this our go to hotel whenever we are in SLO!
