Second stay here and we will be back again (but without breakfast!) lol… i only give 4 stars as both times we have stayed the cooked breakfast has been stone cold. We weren't late down 8am (served 7-10.30) The first time we chalked it up to how busy it was but this time it wasnt and it was still stone cold. And dont use the vending machine it charged me for 2 extra items i didn't have 🙈 (joys of technology) but I cant fault the lovely staff, the room, cleanliness of the hotel or anything else at all its perfect and we will definitely be back a third time before the year ends :)

Great for a family break.

I wasn’t informed of a door to the next room and the other people had been very noisy. Refused to move my room so I had to find a different hotel and I wasn’t given any sort of refund. Very bad customer service

Excellent facilities

Easy check in and check out. Clean, modern property with good breakfast. Nice views and surrounded by the wildlife park.

A superb weekend stay. The hotel is perfect it is clean, smart and the staff are very attentive. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and being a buffet there was no excuse not to have enough of everything. Obviously being next to the Yorkshire Wild Life Park means it’s a bit isolated but that is expected. The one slightly negative is the parkside view. Yes it is a parkside view rather than looking at the car park but don’t expect to see very much in terms of animals.

I have stayed here many times over the last few weeks & keep coming back. Staff are great, rooms are clean & tidy with what is needed. Nice to have a fridge in the room.

Had a lovely ‘Anniversary’ weekend away here. Arrived at the hotel around 5-5.15pm and was seen to in a timely manner at reception. The young girl at reception was ‘superb’ at her job, very professional (I’m sorry didn’t get her name). She wished us a ‘Happy Anniversary’ as she had seen it on the notes. We stayed in a park side room on first floor. The room was lovely and clean… they had even shaped the towels into a heart shape on the bed. As an added touch they left Prosecco and a handwritten postcard. My negatives of the room was the 2 single beds pushed together. Unfortunately that was the only option available on those dates and park side. Due to having a bad back I found the mattress abit too soft so didn’t have the best nights sleep. That’s not the hotels fault it’s mine for having a ‘glass back’, have same problem wherever I go. Also, I think it would be beneficial to move the long mirror that is next to the head of the bed onto a wall that you can actually stand in front of. I did feel abit uncomfortable having a link door with strangers even though it was locked. When we went to our breakfast we were greeted by a friendly chap who explained we could sit wherever we wanted and could then go and help ourselves to the buffet breakfast. They catered if you wanted a ‘full English’ or ‘continental’ and a good selection of cereals. Fast check out was easy. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place. Had a great time at the park too. Lovely hotel, friendly staff.

We stayed at the hotel due to going to JLS concert. It was very well organised and the hotel and grounds were amazing

The beds were extremely comfortable. Room was very clean. Aircon in rooms, lovely views from windows. There are small toiletries in the room. Perfect for a overnight stay at the zoo!

The hotel was great, friendly staff and great entertainment for the kids. I would definitely stay again. 👍 The only problem I would say is having the childrens bunk beds right next to the door. There was a lock for the door but all you had to do was the pall the handle down for the door to unlock which isn't great with small children. It needed like a safe look at the top of the door. 👎 Apart from that can't fault it.

Was very nice

The hotel and area was good, but I would have liked to be able to open the window for some fresh air, but they did not open, air con unit instead.

I loved my room overlooking the park. Watching the wolves from my window was amazing.

We had a room with a balcony and it was roomy and modern. We were really impressed with how family friendly this hotel is, on each floor of the hotel there is a landing with a kitchen that has a microwave, bottle warmer, sink and ice dispenser. The rooms were really clean and the restaurants were lovely. Would definitely return!

Property was very modern, spacious and the surrounding campus was really useful with restaurants and shops etc. We stayed in an accessible room and unfortunately our only complaint is that the shower drain in the wet floor seemed to be too shallow and the shower water actually ended up spilling into the living area despite us being careful.

Quiet , Clean and Comfy equally good and in any order you like.

Everything was clean and tidy . The Staff very helpful and friendly at all times . With our Thanks. The convenience of being right next to the park itself was great . The only fly in the ointment , was the price of the food , quite expensive really £ 20 for fish and chips ??. All in all would thoroughly recommend though.

Great place for young families

The staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble, very informative as well. Room spacious and clean and very comfortable bed loved the clever designs in the room and facilities available for eg: ice bucket, fridge, bean bag and the hidden hairdryer and mirror very neat. The bistro restaurant staff also very friendly and helpful lovely safari lodge feel to the bistro loved the different dining tables and chairs and lighting. Menu small but enough choices for all dietary needs and portions very generous the breakfast buffet very good and plenty of choice. Our only regret was we arrived too late to go around the park due to horrendous traffic on journey and would love to have seen a special evening stroll/ guided tour for hotel guests only. Fabulous destination for couples and families we will return for sure so we can see the wildlife park animals .

This is the third time we have stayed here. Lovely clean modern hotel ideal for families. Great location and lots to do for the children! Highly recommend!

My family and I had an amazingly awesome experience at Hex. The Wildlife Safari was amazing.

Very clean and cosy hotel, spacious room with comfortable bed.

Lovely place to stay. We didn't go to the wildlife park but the grounds were very nice with plenty to do. Only improvements would be the food as we ate at the Evolution restaurant and bistro in the morning, and neither were bad but they weren't brilliant either. At the bistro, we were served food but had to ask where our coffees were as they'd forgotten about them. This was sorted though and we sat in the beautiful outdoor area. The coffee was better than the food. Our accessible room was gorgeous and roomy however the bed was very uncomfortable which let it down. If you like a firm bed you will be fine. Loved the wet room and provided toiletries though. We will stay again and go to the wildlife park next time!
