This was a sweet mom and pop place that I am so happy to support. Carlos who I believe is the owner was incredibly kind. The location was also incredibly convenient. If you need the late hour service of a big hotel you won’t find that here but I needed a comfortable convenient place to stay with great service and that was definitely here.

The hotel was fantastic. Clean and close to everything. Everyone was very helpful, even when my dad got sick on our trip. Overall it was a great place to stay for the price.

Loved my 5-night stay here! The staff was so lovely, polite and helpful. Room was nice and big for a single traveller. Loved the balcony and the pillows were confortable. Only down sides were the water pressure of the shower and the noise coming from the street and the school across the street.
But still, would go back anytime :)

Carlos was very informative about what there was to do in the area, and for almost exclusive English speakers like us, a pleasant surprise. The room was bright and airy with a luxurious balcony lined with bouganvillae. Located a couple of minutes walk from Charles Darwin Avenue and about 15 minutes from the museum/center and 3-minutes walk from the the port/malécon.

Excellent stay! Location was perfect, staff was always friendly and greeted us upon return, and the room was spacious and comfortable.

Jose was lovely and the property was in a very good location, close to the marina. There were also two delicious restaurants downstairs, one open until 9 PM. However, it was a very basic three star hotel room. Our room backed onto a school, which was very noisy early in the morning and they played football late into the evening. Decent value for a rustic, basic stay.

Fantastic hotel and reception that goes above and beyond to answer any questions, help in any way and make you feel like you are part of the family. Hotel has a common area/kitchen with cooking capabilities and fridge available for all guests to use which was a very nice bonus!

Carlos is very hospitable. From the time we came in to the time we left, the customer service was amazing. Highly recommended, very near the main port and right next to a great bakery.

The Posada Del Mar is a wonderful, eclectic, family owned, well maintained, beautiful, peaceful and relaxing hotel near all activities in town. The street and nearby cafe made for a wonderful and memorable visit in Puerto Ayora. It was the icing on the cake!

We like the where the hotel is located. It is close to everything. It is basic but sufficient. Room is spacious. I love the glass wall and balcony in the room and the balcony in the common room too. Carlos at the front desk is friendly add helpful. Coffee, tea and drinking water is always available. The kitchen is nice if you want to cook. But this hotel doesn’t want you to cook fish, garlic. And if you want consistant hot water in the shower, this hotel may not be the right one for you.

The staff is incredibly kind and helpful! The location is perfect because it’s close to everything in town and still feels safe. The beds are comfortable. The amenities are very basic but that’s expected because the cost of the hotel is very budget friendly! There is a kitchen area with balcony dining on the third floor that can be used by guests— very convenient if you plan to stay for a few days.

I arrived early before my room was available and management graciously allowed me to leave my luggage inside the hotel while I went for lunch and a walk; they also allowed me to rest on a coach in the third floor social room/kitchen which had a nice breeze coming in from the ocean. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

This was the perfect transit hotel. It is located 1.5 small blocks from the pier, where you pick up the ferry to San Cristobal. It is clean and spacious with a refrigerator and a view of the harbor and pier. The gentleman at the front desk carried all our luggage up and down the stairs for us, even at 6am! It was a very welcoming visit.

Posado del Mar was a wonderful stay, perfect for my travels. Very clean, good location, the host was friendly and helpful and kind. The facilities were in great condition. I stayed coming and going from Isabela and it could not have been better. I would stay there again for sure. Very highly recommended, everything was fantastic!

Loved it, specially the balcony! It is walking distance to a lot of places to eat, shops, travel agencies and a port. Would stay here again.

The host is very kind and hospitable . We travel with 3 in a group and we have our own bed, drawers and bench.. they have rooftop that u can use to watch the sunset or just have. A little coffee . They have free coffee or tea station and water refill . Safe and close and walkable to the town/ malecon and pier .

Super friendly staff. Loved the common room with kitchen and a full view of the harbour. The room was a good size for two of us and once we figured out the solar heated water lines the shower was lovely. I recommend this hotel to any mid budget traveller.

The manager was very helpful & provided information that added to my stay, his English was also very good which was handy for me. The location was very convenient to walk most places. The rooms were large & bright. There was a really nice communal kitchen/lounge/balcony on the top floor with water views. The only downside was there was no lift but I think this is common in the Galapagos.

It’s a mediocre hotel. Carlos, who is managing the hotel is a very nice person, and took care of all our needs.

I liked the owner, Carlos & his staff because they were very kind, helpful & accommodating!! We felt very welcome & appreciated. We had everything we could possibly need and more for our stay! The hotel is beautiful & quaint. We would definitely stay at the Posada Del Mar the next time we vacation in Santa Cruz!
