We had a lovely stay. The home was clean and set up with so many helpful starter type items (dish soap, paper towels, toiletries etc). Communication with the host was responsive and super smooth. Location is great for exploring the national park and enjoying the local golf course. I would definitely recommend this place.

We absolutely loved our time at the volcano home. The home is even better than the pictures show. It was spotless, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed for our visit, and so close to Volcanoes National Park. Thank you Lori for sharing your beautiful home with us! The house was really nice and had a nice, open, interior layout. Clean, comfortable, convenient, quiet, and with a pretty, and open view out to golf course and slopes of Mauna Loa! Cooking was a breeze in the kitchen! We really enjoyed our stay.

Lori Rogers is an incredible host. We truly enjoyed our stay at her property while vacationing at Volcano on Big Island. The house is located in very serene surroundings, close to a golf course at 99-7814 Kanawao pl, Mountain View, HI. The interior of the house is simply lovely. The decor is tasteful, bold and vibrant, modern and yet works very well with the log cabin appeal of the house. We had everything that we needed in terms of amenities in this house. Lori is very cheerful, gracious and was able to provide lots of very helpful information on the area. We truly wish we had more time to spend at this lovely accommodation and surely look forward to another opportunity to stay here on a future visit.

The house has an open layout with cathedral ceiling in the main living/dining area. Big windows are fabulous to see the plumes from the eruptions. Dark skies, brilliant stars were wonderful. The beds are very comfortable, cosy and warm. It gets quite chilly at night (50s F) and the current space heater helps in the morning. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Enjoyable 3 night stay!

If you are looking for a super cozy place within an easy reach to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, Volcano Home is the one. The perfect location (2.6 ml, 5-minute drive to the park entrance) means you do not need to fit in all the exciting activities in one visit. Volcano Home is not just well decorated but it also offers plenty of things that will make your stay absolutely enjoyable, like the spacious terrace with the stunning view, the comfortable bedrooms and the fully equipped kitchen. The latter is really instrumental as the neighborhood does not have too many nice places for dining so cooking seemed a good idea. We shopped for groceries at Safeway in Hilo (there are couple of stores with a limited range of products nearby, just basic stuff). Farmers Market is great, but only works two days a week. We found lots of things that made cooking easy: an impressive set of spices (not just traditional salt and pepper), coffee makers, blender. Beach gear may prove useful in case you plan to relax on the black sand beach and watch turtles basking in the sun (30-minute drive), you can also go for a bike ride (there two bikes for guests). Lori, we appreciated your fantastic job!

I really can’t say enough great things about our stay at Lori’s home! She thought of everything. Super stocked with everything you will ever need. Very clean and beautiful. I love the artwork everywhere! It is super close to Volcano National Park which made our trip so much more enjoyable. We just “ran down real quick” to the volcano to check out the glowing lava at night. So amazing! Thank you, Lori, for opening your home and being a great host!
