En alternant plages et excursions nous avons profité de cette magnifique région , nous gardons un très bon souvenir de la visite des Monastères des Météores. We didn't know the Pelion , we discovered it for the first time and fell in love with the beauty of its landscapes . We just loved the house! It is very tasteful, well equipped and practical. Outside the house there is a lovely space to relax on the benches full of pillows and enjoy the amazing views! And after a hot day we cooled off in the small pool. Pelion is beautiful, we loved the environment, the small villages, the mountains, the beaches and the hikes. Stathis, the owner, provided lots of information before and during our trip and made us feel very welcome. He is a wonderful host and knows what hospitality means! Oh, and not to forget, the regional wine in the house (especially the red one) was delicious!

We spent one month in Greece and our best souvenir is our week in the house of Stathis in Pelion ! The house and the pool are great, the view is amazing and you will be able to explore all the peninsula : charming villages very close, great hikes and wonderful beaches on the east coast... Stathis was very nice, giving good advices and making his best for us to spend good holidays ! We'll come back !

We rent this house for 2 weeks in July 2017 with my wife and 2 young children (3 and a half and 18 months / years old). The house is exactly as described on the site, and even better: it is very nicely built and decorated, very well equipped and easy to live, with many nice details. The outside is nicely designed, with many spots to rest or play, and the view from the garden on the gulf is wonderful (beautiful sunsets). Also there is a vegetable garden on the back from which we enjoyed tomatoes, zucchinis and cucumbers almost on a daily basis. The little pool is wonderful for 2 young kids: it is 80cm deep, and both were able to touch the bottom with their feet, which made them very confident about being in the water – but one has to be very careful: it is still a pool and we had to watch them continuously... And for the adults, it is a great way to refresh yourself after a hot day at the beach or on a trip! We moved around the Pelio a lot, and I miss this region: it is beautiful and unexpected, which made our holidays quite special: you can spend the day on a hot beach and then have a dinner in a cool mountain village, under a huge plane tree. Of course, I have to mention the warm welcome of Stathis and his father Dimitri, who gave us numerous tips and good advice – in perfect English and French. When we arrived the kitchen was well stocked with quality food (olive oil, tea, jam, pasta, feta, fruits…), and we were given a wonderful homemade guide on Pelio (I don’t think there is another host in Greece who made such a great guide about his region!). It was hard to leave Villa Dioni !

Villa Dioni is located in a traditional village of Pelion named Agios Georgios. I really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the village. With regard to villa Dioni, the house has an amazing view, combining forest and sea. The house provides a spacious garden in which you can relax or have your beakfast mainly in summer. As for the interior, the house is commodious, well decorated and also well equipped satisfying all your needs. What i liked the most was the fact that the house had many food supplies, most of them traditional, like honey, bread, tea and handmade marmalade, all free of charge! I found the price reasonable compared to what was provided. The owner named Stathis was friendly, helpful and he gave us useful information about which places of Pelion are worth visiting and recommendations regarding where to eat.If i visit Pelion again , i will undoubtedly opt for Villa Dioni!

Only three hours away from our home, we found another place to call home. Everything was thoroughly designed to make us feel welcome and the house was equipped with care to the last detail. Warm, surrounded by beautiful nature, Dioni was a lovely surprise and a great setting for our family to spend some quality time together.

Spent nine days at Villa Dioni with my wife, and two other adults. Really enjoyed the villa, especially the views, and in fact spent a few days more or less totally at the villa as we liked it so much - used the grill to prepare the dinner etc. The service was excellent, thanks to the host, Dimitri, who gave us valuable guidance and provided assistance in the few problems that we encountered. The whole of Pelion peninsula was fabulous, the nature was beautiful, and the beaches (Milopotamos, Kala Nera, Afissos) extremely nice. Liked also the morning hikes around the village and along the narrow-gauge railway. The only minor problems were that the 3Gb limit of the Wifi was used up quite quickly (Dimitri provided help also here) and that the village of Agios Georgios does not have any shops, so a car is necessary (we had one so no real problem)

What a wonderfull stay!!!we all of us(4 adults and 1 child of 7 years old) spent 5 splendid days of warmth, delight, and happiness in a modern , full equiped and beautifully decorated home...and what a view! We felt like being in our homes or even better! We will surelly come back!!!!thnks

We had chosen Thalia villa for our first summer vacations with our twins and we couldn't imagine a more ideal property for that. Well-organised & perfect equipped villa with a breathtaking view to the entire Pagasitikos Bay is the ideal selection to explore the endless natural beauties of Mount Pelion. We (2 adults, 1 toddler) stayed at this absolute gem of a house for two weeks in August-September. We were pleasantly welcomed by Stathis, who showed us the house and gave us information about the area, surrounding villages and beaches. The house is comfortably sized and charmingly decorated and we found it in impeccable condition, with all the amenities you can wish for and more. We were delighted to find the tray with tsipouro and homemade jams and the information booklet made by the host. The location of the house is gorgeous; it is set on the mountainside and offers an amazing view of the Pagasetic Gulf. It is even more beautiful in reality than in the pictures. We much enjoyed relaxing in the lounge area next to the pool and eating breakfast on the terrace. Our toddler LOVED the cooling pool (which is actually quite spacious!) and we spent many lazy afternoons enjoying it. The village of Agios Georgios Nilias is pretty and unspoilt, as are the neighboring villages. We regularly walked from the house to the main square of the village (10 minute walk), to have coffee and lunch or dinner. We actually spent most of our evenings having dinner at a village taverna: the local food is incredible! We found that the nearest beach (on the Pagasetic Gulf) could be reached in 20 minutes. It took us about 40 minutes to reach the nearest beach on the east coast of Pelion. At our departure, we met Dimitris and Maria, who were absolutely lovely. We had an unforgettable stay at this house and highly recommend it to lovers of both mountain and sea, who are looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful and authentic location. Thank you Stathis, Dimitris and Maria for being such kind and dedicated hosts. You really made us feel at home in Villa Dioni!

Villa Thalia was simply perfect. Situated in the mountain of Pelion, it was a beautiful getaway from the hot temperatures and busy roads nearby the sea. The villa is spotlessly clean, very wel equipped in traditional Pelion style. The owner was very helpful, kind and flexible. On arrival all essentials including milk, bread, cheese etc where present to get us started but also tradional made sweets and marmalade. The villa is suitable for all seasons. There are plenty of hiking, moutainbiking, swimming or simply relaxing in the garden opportunities. We stayed there with our two children of 5 and 6 years old. I would certainly recommend the villa to my friends.

Friendly owners who manage their property personally and very well, and who have great communication. Very good personal Information was provided on the area. Everything was considered and provided to make our vacation easy. You could just turn up as maps and booklets were all provided. Area is outstandingly peaceful and relaxing, superb for hikes in the hills or down to the sea, with walks down to some great beaches and snorkelling on the East Coast. Need a decent engine in your car (preferably 4x4) as the roads can be steep if you begin to explore inland. Highly recommended if you are looking for out-of-the-way peace, nature, hikes, real Greece, and gorgeous Aegean coves and beaches on the East Coast.

We had another wonderful holiday in one of these traditional Pilio houses built and furnished by Dimitris and Maria, now being run by their son Stathis. They are the best we have ever stayed in in Greece. The house is nicely integrated with the countryside and is furnished to perfection with everything you need for a really comfortable and relaxing stay. It felt like home straight away and we settled in as though we had always lived there. The size of the house was ideal for the 2 of us but would easily accommodate 4. Our favourite spot was under the big umbrella sitting at the table overlooking the Pagasitikos gulf - the only noise the buzzing of the insects on the overhanging flowering Judas tree and plants around the pool, and the tinkling of the goat bells on the hillside - what a fantastic view and what incredible sunsets - we took lots of photos of these. The small pool was wonderful and cooling and such a welcome coming back to the house in the hot weather. The vegetable garden was an added extra this time and we used some of them in our cooking and also planted some for the winter months. We ate a lot at the taverna in the village, called Cafe Agiorgitiko run by Theo and Eva, where you can eat a very filling, home-cooked, three course meal with drinks for 30-35 euros max. The location of the houses is excellent for exploring the Pelion region - including the Aegean coast within an hour's drive - but also central enough if you want to visit other areas further afield in mainland Greece. Also islands such as Skiathos and Skopelos are easy to reach from Volos port by ferry or flying dolphin. We drove to Northern Greece and spent 4 days there exploring around Kastoria area and were back in Pelion comfortably in under 4 hours driving through the northern Greek countryside. This year we flew into Thessaloniki and drove from there to the Pelion which is also a relatively easy drive, mostly on motorways which are never busy compared to those in this country. We flew with Easyjet from Manchester, and the flight was much cheaper and a better flight than the Monarch one to Volos, that we had used in previous years. We will be going back next time in the spring to hear the nightingales which nest in the ravine at the side of the house - can't wait!

The title summarizes it all. The house was located in a great, private location, with stunning views over the bay of Volos. It was very well equipped and functional. The layout was perfect for out family (2 adults + 2 children 10,12) with separate bedrooms for the kids and adults, private en-suite bathrooms, great living room, excellent kitchen, pool and outdoor sitting and eating spaces. The vegetable garden provided some fresh vegetables as well. The property was meticulously managed to highest levels of cleanliness. We were extremely satisfied with the attentiveness and care we received from the property manager. From the moment of first inquiry the communication with the owners/managers was the best we have seen in all our travels (we travel extensively for many years). We received prompt replies to all our questions. The booking, confirmations and payment process were done very efficiently and without the smallest problems. All information was provided right on time. The information we received upon arrival and throughout our stay was fantastic and very useful. One little problem we encountered during our stay was addressed very quickly and in an outstanding manner so that our stay remained an absolute pleasure. The region itself is very unique to Greece and definitely warrants a longer stay. In summary, we highly recommend Villa Dioni for the stay in Pelion.
