This place is wonderful for a getaway in the mountains. We went to Mt. Princeton and this was the perfect homebase for us. The house was clean and the bed was ultra comfy. Only thing we could complain about was the lack of privacy for the hottub. A privacy screen would be perfect. If you park your vehicle just right you can block the view passing cars. Other than that its a great place to stay for a couple of days.

Family of 5, 3 skiers for Ski Monarch, easy access to hywy for 40 min commute. Grocery and liquor store are nearby for those forgotten items. Water heater went out(tripped fuse) called owner and had access to fuse box with one phone call, Fixed quick. Hot tub and a cocktail is very nice after a day of skiing !! Thank you, The Baker's

The house was Great!! It was very clean and had everything that we needed for our mom/son hiking weekend. I am a clean freak and the place was spotless. Alex was easy to communicate with and check in was seamless. Location was great and easy walk into town. We left the car in the driveway for most of the weekend. We didn't use the pool table, ping pong table or dart board but they were in a great space and would be awesome for a family with kids or people of any age. We enjoyed the hot tub and views of Mount Princeton which never gets old! We will definitely stay again because it was awesome! Thanks again, Alex!

We had a great trip! The house was super clean. White fresh bedding. Super inviting! Not cluttered at all, very minimal modern decor. Loved that there was a fenced in backyard for dogs too. My son was in love with the game room and played ping pong any chance he got. Perfectly stocked kitchen for us to cook a majority of our meals. The shower was acting up while we were there but Alex was amazing. Got in touch with me within minutes of my outreach to rectify. Incredible communication and a great host! Thank you Alex! Only thing to note - which I knew after reading other reviews. The home is about a 20 minute walk from the downtown Main Street. We did it several times. It is also backed up to the main highway, so if you have a door/window open you will get highway noise. Not bad at night. But worth noting.

It was a great place for our family of 5! Close enough and convenient to town while still getting to enjoy the view of Mt. Princeton. We enjoyed the ping pong table, billiards, and darts during our down time. I hadn’t realized there was not air conditioning however the temps cooled off at night so that was helpful as well as the one window fan provided. The hot tub located in the front yard provided an amazing view of the mountains. We appreciated the fully equipped kitchen of spices, oil, and coffee. The beds were comfortable and gave us great sleep during our time there. We loved this home overall and our only suggestions would be 2 additional bedroom window fans, window screens in living area, towels for the hot tub, and having the clean dishes in dishwasher put up from prior guests. Thanks for providing a great place for our family!

This house has everything you need and everything you want. We played ping pong, darts and lounged in the hot tub! We loved the view and watched the sunset from the front window. Just a short drive or long walk to town and has very comfy beds! Thank you for having such a wonderful place.

We had a wonderful stay. The house had everything we needed and the most fabulous views. While the back of the house sits right on a major highway, it had a nice privacy fence. We hardly noticed the traffic noise. We would definitely stay here again!

Backs up on to 24 which is unfortunate as far as road noise goes, but the location itself is pretty ideal if you are looking to bang around BV itself. Lot of good hiking/fishing within a half hour from the house, as is downtown Salida. Home was well furnished and the Internet connection was reliable.

This was the perfect house for us to spend Christmas in. The location to downtown Buena Vista, as well as the surrounding areas could not have been more perfect and convenient. The views were stunning. The hot tub was an amazing addition to the home, and we loved that it was open and modern.

This was a perfect place to stay right near the town square. Very clean and neatly decorated. Hosts were very responsive and labeled a lot of things in the house that we needed to know. Also the cool little game room and hot tub really made it a fun time.

From this house it’s an easy walk to town, the views from the neighborhood are beautiful, the kitchen had everything we needed, and they must have a good cleaning crew because the house was so clean. Thank you for providing such a great dog friendly property in BV! We loved our visit.

The location was strange (in-between three streets) but not a problem. Easy access. Clean. The host was great with communication. Beautiful views. Great trip although it was unseasonably hot (not the host's fault). Highly recommend.

Alex’s place is clean and neat, the kitchen is well stocked, the furniture and beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, and the game room is a great bonus feature. We had everything we needed for our buena vista getaway. And we booked two more stays later this summer.

The property location was amazing. Great views of the mountains and easy walking/biking to downtown and trails. Alex was easy to get ahold of and responded promptly. I would definitely stay here again. It is on the smaller side but fit our group of four just fine. The only recommendation I have is, there was not enough extra blankets.

Disclaimer: we did not stay at this property due to a medical emergency. They reason for the poor review is the lack of understanding and compassion on behalf of the property. I am completely aware of and understand the cancelation policy. However we did not cancel the stay because we just chose not to go on vacation or to stay somewhere else. I communicated as soon as possible with the property when we knew we would not be staying because our son was having emergency surgery. The communication I received was that the policy didn’t allow for any leniency and while I understand policies, I was disappointed to know there was no compassion or understanding. Sometimes having empathy can go a long way.

The stay was very nice, the views were gorgeous and there was access to plenty of stores and resturants. Alex was a great host, absolutely no complaints. I would definitely rebook this house!

We had a blast staying here for a couple's birthday getaway. It is in a quiet part of town and you get a beautiful view of the mountains while you relax in the hot tub. The host was very responsive and we would recommend to anyone!
