We had another awesome 8 nights at this property. Fishing was productive and really relaxing. The accommodations were outstanding as always. Dave is a great host and we are looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for having us!

This was our group’s third year here. It’s always perfect for our needs. David is a wonderfully responsive host. When having issues with the heat (it was cold in Florida—what the heck?), he showed up and immediately remedied the situation. Definitely recommend!

We’ve rented this property a number of times… usually with two other couples. This trip was a weekend fishing getaway with the hubby. As always, we had a great stay. Perfect setup… right on the river so you’re on the water in minutes. House is always clean and has everything you need. We’re coming back next month with friends to do it all again!

A big beautiful house right on the St. Johns River at a great value is hard to beat. So many fun things to do in this area too. We do set aside an entire day for fishing off the dock where we caught plenty of fish. This was our second stay here and we look forward to returning next year.

House was well maintained and clean. Very nice accommodating owner. Would rent the house again in the future. We enjoyed our time on the river and in the nearby springs.

Peaceful, much needed relaxation and boat/jet ski entertainment on the river. We caught several bream and crabs off the dock. Fish cleaning station a big plus. Very spacious inside. David was very accommodating. We will stay again.

Extremely nice house. Close to everything, restaurants, grocery, etc. go south on the river for scenic Florida river cruise or north to the springs of Lake George. Very convenient

Nice place .only complaint is the add states 2 boat slips availible.this is not accurate ,if you look through the pictures it does show that there is a extra charge for the extra slip .didnt even look at the pics because i have allready been to this house before .i would state the additional slip fee in the add listing not on a photo.but other then that everything was great.

We've stayed at this house multiple times and never have any complaints. The house and property are clean, beautiful and absolutely peaceful. The kitchen has everything you need. The grills/smoker are outside on the dock which we used for pretty much every meal. I think we spent more time on the screened in porch and dock than in the actual house. I will definitely be staying here more. Thanks Dave!

This was our third time staying at the River House. While the weather is always exactly fishing weather the home and dock are awesome when you cant catch em or get out. Home has everything you need bring only what you want.

This was our second trip to this property and we absolutely love it. An amazing atmosphere inside and outside. Already thinking about our next trip!

We absolutely loved the place. They had everything a person would need. We loved the house, the open room concept and the spacious areas. The dock was amazing with a grill and smoker, porch swing, chairs and blue tooth music to listen while sitting on the dock. Dave was super friendly and helpful with anything we needed. We hope to visit again!

The property setting is absolutely beautiful and well taken care of. There's close access to a small grocery store & a few places to eat nearby. It had many beautiful route choices back to the house after walking around the track all day. Everything in the write up was spot on. Thank You for an amazing place to be all together with family. Our second stay and we plan to be back. Crappie fishing was really good and the weather was even better. We really enjoyed the accomadations. Great house with three large king bedrooms. Living area, kitchen, and parking makes for a comfortable life. Fabulous dock with boat lifts. David is very polite and is always available if needed. If you want to visit Astor Fl, I highly recommend this property.

Very comfortable inside and out. Spent many hours sitting by the river, watching the boats go up and down. Visited Blue Springs State Park, DeLeon Springs State Park and downtown DeLand. Saw hundreds of manatees at the Blue Spring SP, and even saw one swim by the dock!

Great house and location. Hanging out on the dock listening to music, grilling, watching boats go by. David was great to rent from. Will rent again!

This was our group’s second time staying here. The house is perfect for us…great location, fun fishing on the dock in the evening after fishing out in the river all day, beautiful screened in porch to enjoy our meals as the sun sets. Our gracious host, David, was available when needed. We will definitely be back!

This time it was very cold , but sitting on the dock and fishing was productive . A 3lb striped bass was caught . Outside we sat by the fire pit . Indoors we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen with updated appliances and anything you would need to cook and enjoy a wonderful time together . We love this house . it’s very comfortable . It’s our second time and it won’t be our last .

We loved our stay. Very roomy home with a beautiful large screened porch. We spent a couple of our days there just enjoying the home while fishing from the dock. Great host. We hope to return. Cheers! ~ Joe & Maria G.

We had to book at very short notice due to Hurricane Nicole. David was wonderful to deal with. They went out to make sure the property was still ok after the hurricane. There was a power outage in the area and he communicated very well to keep us informed. The home is gorgeous inside and out. We were unable to take advantage of the dock due to the flooding from the hurricane but it looked amazing as well. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Given the chance we will definitely be back to take full advantage of all this gorgeous place has to offer.

River was flood stage over the bank and covered the driveway so it wasn’t perfect conditions. Dave offered for a full refund based on conditions right up to the day before we got in. The event we were in town for was still on so we stayed at his home. We will be back 👍

David couldn’t have been more accommodating; after allowing a last minute cancellation due to weather and rebooking us a year later we had the best time possible. The house had everything we needed and David was quick to answer any questions we had. We will be back!

This house was beautiful and full of amenities. The pictures do not do the house and river any justice. Owners were very responsive and helpful. The only thing I would mention is if you are traveling at night the address gets a little odd in google and Apple Maps as the house numbers are a bit weird. Very short boat ride to Silver Glen springs, even shorter ride to Lake George. Restaurant on the water just a few mins away which had a very big selection of food. Dollar General near by had all the necessities. Large screened in patio facing the river was just perfect to watch the rain and wildlife. I think my favorite part was the swing by the boat house, it made for a peaceful and relaxing view. We had a great weekend even though it rained, we had a beautiful house to relax in and play games.

This was our first time visiting the area and we are already looking forward to returning next year, if not sooner. Dave's house was exceptional and had everything we needed and then some. The only issue during our stay was that no one wanted to leave when our time was up! Great communication from Dave upon our arrival. We brought two boats and loved the short boat ride to Silver Glen and pretty much spent every day there. Nice little sandbar to hang out on near Juniper as well. The lake was perfect for tubing and wake boarding, though we did that in the river as well. Great food nearby at Drifters when we were too tired to cook. The small grocery store nearby was a plus as well. We met some really great people in Astor during our stay and appreciate that Dave and his family are kind enough to share their piece of paradise. Absolutely amazing place. Thanks, Dave!

This was our second time staying here for the July 4th holiday and had a great time again this year! Beautiful updated home with plenty of room and location is hard to beat. Comes with many extra amenities such as a smoker and black stone, boat lift and big dock area right on the river. Dave was a great host and easy to communicate with and responded to any questions right away. This year we did have a couple of minor negatives such as one quite nosy neighbor who was annoying and the house wasn’t as clean as it was the last time when we checked in (inside of microwave and refrigerator were dirty and ceiling fans/light fixtures had heavy dust). Again, minor issues and still would give this property an overall great rating!

Property was awesome! Owner was very helpful. Everything described in listing was provided plus more. We will definitely be back.

This was our second stay at the property and it is one of my all time favorite places to stay. Clean, quiet, and David strives for perfection at the property. This is a true gem.
