The place was very well looked after, and very homely. Masuda was an excellent host.

We loved Pension Marionette. The building is incredibly cozy and inviting, they had every facility we needed (baths, ski room, breakfast) and the owner is an absolute sweetheart who will go out of his way to take care of the guests.

Matsubo was very helpful. The accommodation is roomy and the hot tub is lovely after a day on the slopes.

We should have booked breakfast before we arrived. After Covid there isn't any option to arrange breakfast when you arrive.

The owner was super nice and friendly who would help you with anything. Apartment was warm and comfy. Just 2min to the station where you get to access the free shuttle to different skiing resorts.

Bathroom and toilet are shared but its reasonable.

Good location very close to restaurants and snow shuttle bus. Loved the onset bath that I used ever night after skiing. Provided communal tea, fridge, toaster and microwave. Friendly host Very nice dining, living room area.

Only one shower room for each sex so could take a while for a shower in the morning. Loft room could do with some shelves and more hooks as limited floor space to place luggage. The website mentioned breakfast, if booked in by 6pm, but no breakfast option available but maybe due to Covid.

Beautiful family environment, warm fire and living room, nice, simple room for four people with upper bunk for the kids. The host is amazing, he will help you with every thing you need. The hot onsen bath is also nice.

Location is a bit out of the way however the shuttle bus helps out

The host was very nice and super helpful! the hotel is very cozy and feels like you're at your grandmother's house! getting there is a 5 minute walk from base camp station, where you can also take the free shuttle to the various ski resorts. There is a convenience store next to it, along with multiple restaurants: Izakayas, mexican, yakiniku, sushi and more.

The drying room was fantastic.

Very thin walls so could hear the neighbours easily. No towels provided. Toilets on the first floor, bedrooms were on the second floor. Not many people wearing masks around the place which isn’t nice when it’s a shared space.
