Had WiFi issue for a whole day and the staff barely speak English so wasn’t much information to get

Great experience and staff. Location is amazing in the heart of El Cangrejo, close to a lot of shops and restaurants.

WiFi inside the room was flaky and sometimes becomes too slow and intermittent for work.

Asked for a wake up call; never arrived. When I mentioned it upon leaving - now very late for my transportation - the recepcionist said 'Well you should have set an alarm on your phone. Awful attitude!

Clean room, very comfortable bed, sizeable safe, smart TV, which is something 5 star hotels lag behind.

The hangers in the wardrobe too high for shorter people. Fixed shower head.

This was my home for three nights while visiting Panama. My room is spacious, the window is large and brought in lots of sun (much appreciated!), and the bathroom is fantastic. The hotel is located in a safe and lively neighborhood with numerous restaurants and bars within a few minutes' walk. There's an adjacent convenience store that is open until midnight, and a Japanese restaurant next door.

There's not much to complain about the hotel. My room did not do a good job of blocking the hallway noise—particularly noticeable mid-morning when housekeeping does their rounds. The hotel pool looked worse for wear.

It’s located near all the main attractions of Panama City, the staff is really friendly and helpful with anything you need. The room was comfortable and had a great view from the window.

The room was not as clean as it should be, but it was ok. Nothing else to complain for.

I have lived in panama and intend to return to the city regularly so was hoping to make hotel príncipe my regular mid range hotel, but cannot recommend staying here. While the location and price are a good balance, staff, policies and cleanliness are problematic enough to suggest finding a different hotel in the same price range. I stayed in two rooms during an extended trip. The first had no access to a fridge and there is no ice machine in the hotel (important consideration based on comfort/heat in the area), my second room had cockroaches and the sofa was dirty and stained. In both rooms, no hand towels are provided unless you ask cleaning staff who will likely give you attitude before providing an additional towel. Cleaning of rooms did not happen every morning. Lock cards regularly discharge themselves and don’t work even after multiple requests to reset them. Additionally, it’s important to know that the staff have an undisclosed policy regarding visitors, charging $20 for a friend to go upstairs even if it’s just for a few minutes. If you intend to be social, definitely go elsewhere. Experiences like this are negative enough to deter visitors from enjoying their stay in panama. I witnessed other customers having their own individual challenges with front desk staff because of the rude “customer service” as well. Customers should not need to fight for basics and respectful interactions when paying for a service.

once we were upgraded, Thebes was great! the suites were spacious and clean and had all we needed.

when we got back to our original room it was left open! the door did not close properly; we informed staff in the morning. they did not communicate to cleaning staff and they left our door completely unlocked for the afternoon! they did they upgrade us and absolutely nothing was taken and all was fine. some reception staff were absolutely fantastic. others less so.

Dust in the rooms, the wifi not working, the swimming pool is actually a big bathtub :)). Also very noisy.
