We had the best time staying here as 2 couples for four nights. Everything you need is in the apartment, with all kinds of wonderful modern touches. The view is AMAZING from any of the terraces. There are markets, shops, and restaurants very close by. You wont need to walk far for anything... if you ever want to leave the apartment that is. I was so sad to go.

This was one beautiful apartment near all of the historic sites and within walking distance of everything with many good restaurants including the one just downstairs. The coffee bar across the street was also in the perfect location and by the 3rd day we didn't have to say "Cafe Americana to Take Away". We were 4 people so that everyone could have their own ensuite bathroom as well as a good sized bed. More people would not have the privacy that we did. However, here are some things to consider: Parking can be iffy. We mostly found a free spot on our street, but all of a sudden one day they were hauling away cars. Lucky for us we happened to be downstairs when that happened and could find another spot. Be aware that the police speak NO English. Some evenings there is very LOUD music until after midnight. Never could figure out where it was coming from. That happened 3 of the 5 nights we were there. Since there is no elevator and the apartment is on the top floor, be aware that you will be walking up lots of steps to get to your door. Not a huge problem unless you have heavy suitcases like we did and are all over 60! Finally, the apartment while well stocked with plates, glasses and cookware did not have extra things like toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent or tissues. The coffee maker needed single cup inserts which we couldn't find so therefore the coffee bar across the street was a necessity. These items were not easy to find at stores in small quantities for staying just a few days. None of the above should be looked upon as a negative for staying there, just be aware of some of the issues we faced. May not matter to others. BTW, the furniture and art is beautiful. Don't recommend staying there with small children especially since the inside stairs has no railing or protection from falling off.

The location of the accommodation is perfect. You can walk easy to the center of the city and there are many restaurants nearby in the same street. The apartment looks very very nice, is very clean and is well equipped. We liked the roofgarden very much. Everyday we used there our breakfast. The other roof terrace has a breathtaking view on the Etna.

There is any word to describe our experience in this wonderful and peacefulll place. Positive energy, high standard design, perfect location, full equipped, high tecnhologic, roof garden breathtaking, private terrace overlooking Etna. We spent a week and was not enough to enjoy everything there. The best place to visit east sicily. Behind the corner there is a gorgeous food and fish market (Pescheria), the Ursino Castle square has a lot of options for restaurants and bars, the area is dinamic and open 24 hours. We felt into the sicilian culture and we appreciate it. the house is very very confortable with 2 bedrooms with bathroom ensuite, a huge living room (with home cinmea), dining room and the terrace with decking and large table was the main attraction. Unbelievable to live like in a villa in the center of town with the amzinng view of the medieval castle in front of you. We checked all the area and we can confirm there is any other place with a better location than this. We high reccomend this flat to who want to enjoy Sicily in a special way. Cost is even less than the penthouse deserves and the pictures just describe a part of the strong emotions you can live in this place. Massimiliano is a fine architect and he was very good in design this magic place!

The listing and the photo's were accurate and a huge help in preparing for this trip to Catania. Max the owner, was more than helpful through our many e-mail exchanges. The apartment was well appointed, far exceeding our expectations. Free wifi was a huge bonus. Location near the various attractions , restaurants, and sightseeing possibilities was perfect. We felt safe in the area and walked to most places we choose to go. The Restaurant Da Antonio right outside the apartment was fabulous and we ate there several times. Many other good ones near by. The only draw back to the apartment is it's up on the upper floors of the building, so if flights of stairs presents an issue caution is advised. We had no problem negotiating them at all, a good workout. Max also provided us with the name of a tour guide for the trips that involved a distance. Vincenzo was an amazing driver, spoke english well and extremely knowledgeable about Sicily. We used him to go to Mt Etna, Siracusa, Noto, Ortigia and Taormina to name a few. We just can't say enough about this wonderful experience . A highly recommended place to vacation and an extremely comfortable apartment to spend the 8 days we were there.

We had a great stay. The appartment is perfectly located in the city center. The apartment itself is spacious, appealing furnished and very well equipped. The roof terrace with its view on the Castello Ursino as well as the other one with its view on the roofs of Catania and the Etna are great. In case you have a car, the parking situation is easy. The owner is of great help in any circumstances. It´s not just as presented in the listing desription, it´s even better.

The apartment was great, very spacious, clean and elegant. With nice furniture from famous designers. The apartment has incredible view to Castello Ursino, and located a nearby of street market with a lot of fruits, vegetables and all typical sicilian products. Also nearby famous fish market, where we got fantastic fresh fish for a dinner last night. It is a great location for exploring city. I could walk within 5 minutes to Dom Square.I did day trips to Siracusa and Taormina from here. Massimiliano are super helpful and very nice, hi created also nice atmosphere in the house. Appartment location is very good, its right next to very beautiful Ursino catsle, that you can see through the window. And it`s right in the center of Catania so all best places are reached by walking. Appartment layout is very stylish and modern, and there are all facilities you night need: laudry machine, dish washer, wi-fi and etc. Appartment is newly renovated, its still possible to smell it :) So its very clean and well-maintened. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Helped us to orientate in the city, to find good places :) I would definately recommend this place to my friend!

We had a great time in this beautiful apartment. There are 2 bedrooms relatively independent with their own bathroom, so it’s perfect for 2 couples. The kitchen is fully equipped…nothing missed and we liked its design and its modern furniture. The main terrace is wonderful; we spent most of our time there. You will have a great view on the castle. From one of the bedroom, you will have access to a new terrace and a nice view of mount Etna. The apartment is not far from Plaza del duomo, about 10 min walking. It’s a good place near restaurants, pubs. Otherwise, to visit the island, it’s better to have a car. We rent one and we didn’t have any problems to park the car in front of the apartment. It was really convenient. Thanks again to Massimiliano for his kindness and for his good advices. We really recommend this place.

We had a great time in this modern beautiful cosy apartment in the center of Catania. The location is perfect, close to many sites. The apartment is a dream of comfort and minimalism, we all (parents and 3 teens) loved it. And Massimiliano the owner is kind and efficient!

Way above our expectations! If you find the description and images charming when looking at this site, you'll probably be as charmed as we were when we arrived in this magnificient, well located loft! Two terraces, one real quiet and private, while the other one gives you a gorgeous view on an 13th century castle (the Castello Ursino). Massimiliano, the owner, was kind, helpful, always available and generous in his time and advices. You find yourself at a five minute walk form the historical center, and less than two minutes walk from the daily food market where you can find everything from fresh cheese, fruits, vegetables, fish and meat. The perfect spot for getting the beat of sicilian lifestyle. The kitchen in the loft is well furnished and allowed us to cook ourselves some sweet little antipasto of our own, which we obvioulsy ate will admiring the view from the terrace. Thanks Massimiliano, if we come back to Catania it'll be a pleasure to stay at your place again!

We are a family from France and we just come back from Massimiliano's house in catania. We realy spent a good moment in his wonderful appartment that massimiliano has reinvented, designed,and decorated with a lot a taste. The terrace in front of the castle is wonderful for a drink. The flat is very well located in a popular cheerful neighborhood safe with a a lot of restaurants vey good and a fantastic typical sicilian market near by . Massimiliano is a very nice and helpful personn, always ready to help you. I really recommend to go to massimiliano's house if you want to go to catania,

We have been in Massimo apartments two weeks. It was amazing experience. The apartments are situated in the centre of Catania with great views to old Ursino Castle and Etna. Everything is close if you like to experience local life when travel somewhere as we do. I mean market (fish and general), different shops and restaurants etc. The penthouse itself is very good, absolutely new and modern. Very nice design (Massimo is architector) and modern fully equipped kitchen, 3 bathrooms, living room and bedrooms. You can check the photos they are absolutely real. We spent many nice evening with barbeque and dinner on the terrace, so you will not be disappointed with that penthouse. As it has all you need for good rest. Massimo himself was very helpful and asnwered all our enumerous questions. He helped us a lot and was very responsive. So I will recommend that penthouse to my friends if they will decide to visit Sicily as we did.
