The house had everything we wanted- beds were comfortable, showers were great, boat was a big selling point, kayaks and boards were awesome- fantastic location with beautiful views!

Byron could not have been more accommodating. From the minute we got there he was the gracious host. Any questions? He was always available. The house was perfect for our family. It was clean, spacious, and fully stocked for cooking needs. The boat dock area was loaded with paddle boards, kayaks, and most importantly, a wonderful pontoon. It made the week so special to be able access the beauty of the lake. Sunsets were my favorite time. I truly can’t wait to get back. Thanks for making our time so enjoyable!!

We joined some friends for a lovely weekend getaway. Although the lake was in it's drained state we still had a great time. I'd love to come back at full levels and take advantage of all of the excellent toys that come with rental. What a beautiful spot!

We had a great time jumping off the dock house, boating, and relaxing with friends! Having access to the pontoon boat was a lot of fun and the hot tub was the icing on top.

We travelled to Lake Lure to visit family. The house is beautiful and cozy with wonderful mountain and lake views. The pontoon was an awesome bonus and we very much enjoyed being out on the lake. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was spotless and perfect! We enjoyed the pontoon as well. My husband (who is super picky) asked to find another date soon for a return trip.

This was our 2nd year renting this beautiful home on the lake! It has a room large enough for everyone to gather together, and four lovely bedrooms to retreat to for some quiet time. We enjoyed using the pontoon boat and paddle boards, as well as the hot tub. Very pet friendly! We hope to be back again next year! Thanks, Byron and Barbara!

Second stay for three of us; third stay for two of us. Fantastic experience from start to finish. I just wish we could stay longer! House was very clean and well equipped right on the lake - was so great having the boat and little beach area for dogs and kids to play. Byron was an excellent host. Would recommend!

This house has so many amenities to keep everyone busy and happy! The water toys, kayaks, paddle boards, private little beach like water access, hot tub and the best a pontoon boat to explore the lake and try some of the restaurants. The view of the lake was beautiful. Everyone could have their own space. Gorgeous sunsets from the roof deck too.

After staying in Vrbos for over 10 years, this by far was the most clean and well stocked place we have ever stayed. Byron has thought of everything to make this home comfortable. It felt more like a home with all the personal touches and decorations then a place we rented. Byron was an amazing host who made sure we got settled in quickly. The lake which is steps from the back door was perfect for all of us adults and children. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place with us!!

Perfect break from the city

The house was very clean and loved the set-up, kids downstairs, adults upstairs. The views from the house are unbeatable. We all got a lot of exercise going up and down to the dock, kids were tired out at night! Boat was nice to have and the kids caught fish off the dock and enjoyed swimming. Absolutely a great house and location!

Loved a lot about our stay, but the view of the lake from the top floor stands out!! The use of the pontoon boat was a wonderful option for our multi-generational group. Loved the SUPs. The outdoor deck off the lower floor got a lot of use for game playing, relaxing and an occasional work call. We enjoyed the nearby hiking just 10 minutes up the road. We were so happy to find such a nice accommodation that allowed us to have our dogs vacation with us. Great family memories were made during our week at this beautiful lake!!

To celebrate the baby of the family "Me" turning 65 I found the perfect place to gather with 2 of my brothers and 2 of my sisters and 2 spouses. The oldest is 81. We could not have found a better place. The view was awesome. Everyone commented on how clean it was. Byron's attention to detail showed throughout both upstairs and downstairs. There was room to gather as a group or plenty of places to find some alone time. Kitchen was well stocked. We found everything needed. I will definitely rent this again. Communication was great. Byron responded promptly to any question.

This was the fourth time we have visited this property over the years. This visit did not disappoint. We had a wonderful time with family. Our teenagers enjoyed time on the lake with the paddle boards and time. The pontoon boat and hot-tub was a nice bonus. We are looking forward to our next visit

This beautiful lake house was PERFECT!!! Extremely clean, complete and updated!! It has ALL of the amenities we needed. Spent most evenings on the deck watching the sun sets with our friends. Byron is an amazing and very gracious host! He made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend and will book again! Thank you, Byron!

The house was immaculate and SOOOO cozy! Even the guys in our group kept commenting on how comfortable and clean it was. We had a group of 8 for New Years and cooked dinner each night of our stay- the kitchen had every utensil and dish we were in need of! There is ample room for everyone to spread out, sit down and relax and chat in different areas of the home without feeling like you're on top of each other. The view of the lake from inside the home was mesmerizing! We have already talked about booking another weekend at this home in the future... if you're looking for a great place for a larger group this home is it!

The owner went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed to make our vacation awesome. We loved the view and the spacious layout. The house was fully decorated for the holidays - complete with a Frazier fir Christmas tree!! Be sure to check out the renovation pictures in the owners binder. Every detail has been thought out making this house a home. We can’t wait to come back!

Our family got away together with our college kids home and adult kids from all over. We wanted some time away with just us before Christmas with extended family started. This was the perfect getaway. The house had so much that made hanging out, fun family time. They had a large hot tub and a pontoon boat that even in 30-40 degree weather, we were able to enjoy short cruises bundled up. The kitchen is well stocked. We made Christmas cookies one night and watched a Christmas movie another. We went on a short hike together and went to the local brewery in town. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. This is a very nice home and accommodates a group of 8 quite well. The main floor is very large with 2 large bedrooms and large attached bathrooms. The additional half bath was appreciated just off the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking which we did alot of! The second refrigerator in the lower level was great to have. We loved the open concept main level, and there were terrific views of the water from the kitchen, dining and family room areas. The lower level is much smaller and the 2 bedrooms down there are also small, but nicely done. The lower level porch/outdoor bar is not much use in the cold weather as there is no firepit there or anywhere on the property. The hot tub is NOT on the lower porch, but off to the side of the house, which made it a bit less inviting but nice to have none the less. The boat and water toys (kayak and SUPs) were great to have and we spent a lot of time on the outdoor deck overlooking the lake. This home should please most anyone.

Great property! Plenty of activities with paddle boards, hot tub, hiking and pontoon boat! House was lovely and allowed people to retreat to their own space, or stay with the group! Dog friendly, too! Byron was a great host and made it all easy for us! Hope to do it again!

This was a perfect place for our family of all ages to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday. It has everything you want for a relaxing and fun vacation at Lake Lure.

This was our 4th trip to Lake Lure and this place did not disappoint. Our family loved that each bedroom had a bathroom. The house was very clean. The owner was very quick to respond when I had a question. We also loved The owner’s mom who knows so much about the area and she is very easy to get a hold of. The boat is a plus too. A wonderful, relaxing fun vacation. Our family had a great time at this beautiful Lake Lure retreat. Byron has done a great job renovating this unique home. We loved having the pontoon boat! Our family took several rides, watched the sunset, and arrived for dinner by boat to some of the local restaurants. The hot tub was a great bonus as well. Our 15-22 year old children had a great time jumping off the boathouse as well! We had thought we would be taking day trips around the area but no one wanted to leave the house and lake because they were having so much fun. Byron and Barbara were so easy to get in touch with and such warm hosts! A great time was had by all in our group!

Had an awesome week renting this lake house! It had everything we needed to enjoy our time on the lake- pontoon, SUP, kayaks, floats, jumping dock! Kids had endless options and a perfect cove area for swimming out of the way of boat traffic. The kitchen was well stocked along with beautiful open views from the living room. We loved our time there!

Our family of four plus two friends enjoyed a wonderful week at this spacious, comfortable and well-appointed home. Lake Lure is very charming, and we enjoyed swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, and cruising around in the pontoon boat. Nearby Chimney Rock was also a fun excursion. We had plenty of spaces to spread out and gather together. Beds were comfortable, and the whole house was neat and clean. We have rented many different VRBO cabins in the NC mountains over the years, and this is our new favorite. We hope to come back again!
