Third trip down to this beautiful island paradise. Jenny and Chris were excellent hosts as Jenny met us as soon as we got off the car barge and drove us to the villa. L’Autre Monde was one of those places you dream about when you think of Caribbean living. We started the week off with in home dinner with Shaibu, super meal with a distinct flavor of the island. Chris was our captain on a a sunset boat ride around St Thomas and a quick meal and drinks at Lovango. Hostess was a snob but the place is pretty cool. The rest of the week was spent hiking and going to the breathtaking beaches on the island. Windmill, Gringos, Skinny Legs, Johnny lime, 1864, all great places for tasty drinks and food. If you haven’t been to St John, I would go and rent a villa like this, amazing experience.

This property and our experience was fantastic. From the start of the booking process the pre-trip communication was friendly and helpful. Then we were met at the ferry by the property managers who relieved us of our bags (we arrived early on the island before check-in). We were then driven to the property for a tour and were taken to our rental car location. I think in all of my time renting properties, this was the first time the pictures have not done a place justice. The house was huge! Beautifully decorated and so well-appointed. But the highlight is the outdoor living space. It's massive with a pool, hot tub, sitting area and dining table. When we weren't enjoying the many St. John beaches we were enjoying the views and amenities of this home. I would highly recommend the property and we look forward to a return trip next year!

This house is beautiful! We loved every minute we spent here. I definitely didn’t want to leave the amazing view. The property manager and staff were nice and helpful.

This home has everything we were hoping for and more. Wonderful location, gorgeous views, beautiful architecture, and special touches throughout the entire home. The property managers were quick to respond to all questions and helpful in suggesting activities for our family. We would return to L’Autre Monde in a heartbeat. We had the most magnificent time/stay/trip to Paradise when we stumbled upon this property. We were really disappointed in the condition of another house we booked (unrelated to this property & manager) and found L’Autre Monde just in time to grab our things, meet the amazing Jenny and make the easy drive from town to this heavenly villa. It truly takes your breath away as you walk through the private entrance and survey the beautiful stone staircase and pool. The views, attention to artistic detail throughout, high end furniture, appliances, fully stocked kitchen and welcoming energy from our host, Jenny, were truly all second to none! We cannot wait to return!!

We had a fantastic stay in St. John. The villa was just as advertised, perfect in every way. Our family spent every free minute on the lanai just enjoying the tropical weather and the action in the harbor. This VRBO property does not disappoint --- Be wary of car rental information. It can be a bit tricky as we discovered by losing a large deposit -- yikes!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house and it is as described. It had everything we needed. Kelly, Chris and Jenny were very helpful. The house is in a good location. We would definitely stay here again.

We arrived to paradise and were pampered the entire time. Fabulous home and landing point for all of St. John. Chris, Kelly, and Jenny were great with everything needed and more. I see someone wrote about the stairs - not sure what people expected with a home built on the side of a mountain. The view was spectacular and the pool was enjoyable morning, noon, and night. So glad we rented a jeep to explore the island. Also charted a boat (which Chris recommend) to Yost. Can’t wait to return in the future!

We had a fabulous week here. We had 4 of us but of course this property can hold 6. Property is beautiful. Make sure you can handle stairs if you rent this property. Photos are right on. Everything was just as shown in photos. So relaxing and beautiful. We will be back.

This is the perfect rental for a St John Vacation! They thought of every detail!!! Kelly is amazing to work with and made everything so smooth and easy!!! We will definitely be returning!!!

What a great place! It was big and spacious with all the amenities. The view is spectacular and we loved the shaded outdoor deck and pool area. Property manager Kelly was very accommodating and helpful with whatever we needed :) Note: We were in St. John for a wedding and two of the bedrooms (including the master) do not have closets - a surprise, but we found an iron. That said, the property is great. The level of detail in building and decorating this house was appreciated by all of us.

The rental process was very easy. The check-in was seamless as the property manager met us at the dock and we followed him to the house. The house is incredible inside and outside. The living areas are large enough to easily accommodate 6 adults and there are more than enough restrooms and showers. The view of the bay and other islands from the pool deck is something out of a book. The pool is perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was immaculate and well appointed. The pool and outside area was absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed coffee every morning on the deck and watched a gorgeous sunset each night. It was a magical vacation that we will never forget!

This is a must stay villa when you visit St. John. Kelly the property manager is on point with everything! He met us at the dock when we arrived and showed us the property. What a privilege to stay in such an amazing home in this gorgeous location! From the time we stepped foot on the property, our constant response to all we saw was, "Wow!" Our family of 4 (Dad, Mom, 2 teens) traveled to St. John for the first time and were not disappointed. L'Autre Monde made the trip almost surreal! We were as active as we could be during the day and then retreated to the home each afternoon, only to enjoy a different aspect of island life. Whether we were watching boats in the bay from the balcony, enjoying an evening swim in the pool with our kiddos, or beholding a gorgeous sunset, the home just continued to provide amazing experiences to cap off each day. It was spacious and clean (the top priority for us) and offered everything we needed for a great 5-night stay. From simple things like nice beach towels to borrow to breathtaking views of sunsets and other islands, we felt as if we had our own personal resort. The kitchen and dining spaces even provided us with the opportunity to have an in-home chef prepare dinner for us on two nights. And any trips into nearby Cruz Bay were a quick drive down the hill (maybe 10 minutes by rental jeep). The North Shore beaches and other attractions (like the Windmill Bar and hiking trail to the Petroglyphs) were very accessible as well. We couldn't have chosen a better location! While the accommodations exceeded our expectations, we must say that the customer service did as well! From the moment we booked, (Property Manager) Kelly was in contact with us and available to answer our seemingly endless list of questions. Upon arrival to the island, he escorted us up to the home and gave a tour of the property. He even made a house call one evening (along with the other PM, Chris) to resolve a small issue. This type of attention has not been typical of our vacation home rental experiences in the past and we were so grateful! We could honestly continue on and on about our stay - it was just that great! - but we can sum it up with this...we would do it all over again!

What an amazing experience from start to finish. The villa is exactly as pictured, so spacious and comfortable, and the view is stunning. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the terrace with our coffee or cocktails, and the sunsets were spectacular. Property Manager Kelly Armstrong could not have been more helpful…he even collected lost luggage from the dock and delivered it to our door. He has great recommendations and it was reassuring to know he was available if anything went wrong. Which it did not! Beds are super comfortable and the kitchen well equipped if you want to do some cooking for yourself. This was a special trip with our adult children and the three beautiful bedrooms with en suite baths provided plenty of space and privacy for everyone. We cold not have been happier with our choice to stay at this lovely villa.

This house was sheer perfection. First of all, the house was spotless, every gorgeous square inch of it! Kelly the host was very helpful and only a text away. I would have to lie if I we’re going to say anything negative about this property or our stay on the island in general.

What an amazing house to stay at while you are on the island. The outdoor terrace is what makes the house so special. We actually never sat in the living room! The view is amazing. Plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is fully stocked. Each bedroom had a door opening onto a balcony. We will definitely stay here again!

Second visit to this lovely home. Perfect location with idyllic views close to town but perched high up with lovely breezes and morning sun that warms the pool. Well furnished with superior outdoor pool and water features. I highly recommend for a family or 3 couples.

We absolutely loved this villa and had a wonderful family trip . Upon booking this trip for our sons 30th birthday celebration- the property manager Kelly reached out . He was professional & responsive . It felt as though we had a private concierge . He helped with restaurant recommendations and reservations . He helped me plan our trip - from recommending a wonderful car rental company on St Thomas - to helping us plan which were the best beaches to suit our group - best lunch spots to accommodate us . We rented a boat for the day through Kelly and met the other property manager Chris - who was so wonderful - informative - and made sure on a windy day that we had an exceptional boating experience aboard The Midnight Sun . And not to forget Alicia who was also onboard - and was exquisite !! They both offered us so much history - information on the local islands and seas - it was the best day of our vacation !! We will 100% return to this amazing Villa . The kitchen was perfectly outfitted - we cooked breakfast everyday - Bedrooms were beautiful - comfortable and well appointed . This villa is exceptional - the management is spectacular - This is a dream spot !!

The house itself is pretty amazing although there are some small maintenance issues. The dishwasher soap dispenser broken, musty smell on lower level, a constantly running toilet a few stair lights out, low water pressure. The kitchen was poorly equipped!! Not even a metal spatula and only 6 plates and 6 forks! Difficult to cook. The grill was great though. Not closet in 2 of the bedrooms. Pool is mostly in shade so fairly cold water and 2 cheap kmart floats. We enjoyed our stay but all those things took away from it. For the big price tag, we would choose a different house.

The home's outdoor area is spectacular. The view of the harbor..great! The property managers were so responsive. The blender broke and they showed up within the hour with a brand-new one.

We were almost speechless when we walked in, thats how beautiful this home is! Kelly and Chris the property managers are beyond amazing, if you rent a boat do so through them because the tour was incredible and the boat was fast and funnnn! Great trip to St John. House was very well appointed for two couples. Certainly large enough for 3 couples be we had a lovely stay with plenty of room with 4 adults. Home was away for. Hustle and bustle but close enough to Cruz Bay amenities and beautiful beaches.

This villa will not disappoint. Great location, beautiful views, perfect kitchen for cooking in, fantastic outdoor areas to enjoy the beautiful island of St John.
