We have stayed in a lot of mountain houses and cabins over the years with our growing family, and this was the best one yet! We loved the house, the location and Black Mountain. It's just the right size and super easy to get to. We are already thinking of our next visit.

My family lives in the area. For those of us that do not live in the area, this was a great place to relax, visit with family and enjoy the view. Great house and a great location.

Excellent - great floor plan- beautiful views and close to everything. Very clean upon arrival.

The location was great! Loved the view! We had six adults, two teenagers, an eight year old and a French bulldog and had plenty of space.

Overall great stay. The house was very clean and very nicely appointed. We were a group of 8 family members ranging in age from 13 to 80 (we celebrated my mom's 80th birthday!) and we all had plenty of room. The kitchen was very well stocked so that cooking a meal was easy. We all tended to gravitate to the sunroom to breathe in the fresh mountain air. Love that we could bring dogs but wish we could have had the opportunity to bring 3 dogs (owner was a stickler for the max 2 dog rule) so we ended up having to board ours so that my mom could bring hers. We went to Asheville many times - 20 minutes of highway driving, and to the cute little town of Black Mountain. The TV in the main living room didn't work, but we weren't there to watch TV so it didn't bother us (the rental agency said they would send someone to fix it when I let them know at checkout).

The house was perfect. We had a great time and the home was great for 7 adults to have a great time.

Our family had a great time in this well appointed home. Convenient to hiking, shopping, breweries and Asheville. Large space with sunroom and deck to enjoy sunset! Highly recommend!

Our entire family - 6 adults and 2 infants - gathered at Grey Eagle Lodge for our dad/grandpa's 80th birthday celebration. The house was clean, comfortable and very spacious for our group. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking and enjoying meals together. Location was great in that we were less than 5 min from town and close to the grocery store. Even though neighbors are very close, it still felt very private. We only wish the weather was better to take advantage of the deck and nearby trails. We had a great time regardless and would recommend this property.
