Our family of 7 (adults and older teens) have just returned from a week here and would highly recommend to others. The grounds are huge and we saw the deer on a daily basis. There are plenty of different areas to sit and relax, and everyone enjoyed the hot tub and pool (which is bigger than it appears on the photos). Indoors there is plenty of space with 2 lounges, a dining area and large kitchen. The shuffleboard, football table and corn hole also kept us entertained with family competitions. The house is very well appointed with everything you could need, and a lot of basic provisions were provided (dishwasher tablets, etc). Less than a mile away is a good sized supermarket, food outlets (recommend Bare Bull BBQ), and about 25 mins away is New Braunfels town with loads more restaurants, and where we had a great time tubing on the Comal river. The communications from the owners was great and they provided lots of information ahead of our stay on local activities and dining recommendations. This is definitely one of the best VRBO properties we've ever stayed at, and if ever back in the area wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Our family of 11 (adults & children) had an outstanding stay at Fancy Like with above bar communication with hosts Jonathan and Valarie who are dedicated to proving their guests with an excellent experience. Sprawling private off-street property with deer (which our kids loved), very clean home, a kitchen with everything you can need, two refrigerators/freezers (kitchen & laundry room), and a laundry room/playroom combination which provided the kids with lots of entertainment. Everyone loved the shuffleboard, air hockey and foosball tables. The backyard is so beautiful & private. We all loved the pool, hot tub, & waterfall. Jonathan & Valarie are amazing hosts providing lots of information about the area, restaurants, & places to go with the kids. We rented a pontoon boat with slide & captain with their recommended company & loved it. We even had s'mores one night in the outdoor firepit. Stocked up on groceries at HEB in New Braunfels, and then used the local Lowe's Market (less selection/higher prices) for items needed during our week's stay. It was handy having a CVS close by. We discovered the restaurant "Mavens" our first day for lunch (day before the family arrived), returned that night for dinner and to listen to a band and had some of their amazing lemon meringue cheesecake. Loved it so much we took the whole family back the following Friday night to enjoy an outdoor experience of good food, music, with space for the kids to run around. Highly recommend Fancy Like!!

This home has everything you could ever need! There’s no need to bring anything with you…cooking utensils, grilling utensils, beach towels, ice machine. There’s also extra toiletry items in all the bathrooms in case you forget something! The property is beautiful, quiet, and secluded. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a large group get together.

Fancy Like was the perfect location for our annual College Friends getaway! The house accommodated our group of 11 adults with room to spare. We spent lots of time in the pool and hot tub as well as in the game room! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. We even used a professional chef that Jonathan and Valerie recommended and she was AWESOME! We loved this place so much that we have already booked it for next year!

We enjoyed a very restful, relaxing stay at this property. The heated pool and hot tub were the highlights as we spent much of our time there. The house is beautiful with plenty of room for guests. The ice machine was a real treat and continually provides enough ice for whatever your need. Overall the house and amenities were top notch. The hosts are really nice and super attentive as well.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed and welcomed by one of the owners, Valarie. She gave us a tour of their beautiful vacation home and showed us all of the ins and outs of the property. We settled in easily, and took advantage of the pool, the beautiful, hot tub, Jacuzzi, and the grounds, which are magnificent. We walked in the neighborhood on trails and cooked in her beautiful kitchen, as well as sampled, local dining experiences, all of which were wonderful. We were visiting to view the eclipse in nearby Kerrville, and this was a relaxed staging ground for that experience. I would recommend this property to anyone without any reservation. It is a luxury resort all on its own!

A beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place to visit and recharge. The kids and adults enjoyed using the heated pool, jacuzzi, basketball court and outdoor fire pit. Inside the house is very clean, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, the gas BBQ grill works great too. There is plenty of space inside and outside to enjoy a your meal, conversation or just to be alone to meditate. We loved this place and will highly consider visiting again.

Jonathan & Valarie -- The property is amazing on its own but when paired with the incredible experience working with you as hosts, we give the experience 10/10! We have stayed at quite a few vacation rentals but have never had hosts as outstanding as you. Your communication was over the top -- from the very seamless booking and check-in process to all the emails and texts to ask about our needs and provide information for how to get the most out of the property and enjoy the Hill Country area around Canyon Lake. So many thoughtful touches that go far beyond just having sufficient pots and pans in the kitchen -- the wonderful coffee station, bottled water, the stash of most-often-forgotten items in the bathrooms, the full house surround sound, the toys and ALL the amenities for small children, the floats to enjoy the GORGEOUS heated pool, the lawn games, the wood and starting materials all ready for the fire pit. I could go on and on. Thank you for your hospitality -- my 4 year old grandson said it best: "I want to stay here forever".

Our family loved this property! We have rented a lot of vacation homes, and this one has everything you could ask for. The heated pool and hot tub were perfect. The outside grounds were really nice - enjoyed seeing the deer each day. Having a fire pit for s’mores was an added bonus! The owners have added a lot of details and extras to make this a very comfortable and relaxing vacation. The beds and bedding were all very comfortable and the game room was a hit with kids and adults. The house was beautifully decorated for fall, which made it perfect for a family Thanksgiving trip! We would highly recommend staying here and hope to come back to rent again next year!

Words cannot express how perfect our weekend was. The house, grounds, pool, outdoor lighting, overall attention to detail and wildlife were simply amazing. All of the guests that stayed with us or attended the poolside rehearsal dinner for our son’s wedding, had nothing but compliments for “Fancy Like at Canyon Lake”. It was absolutely perfect! It is really hard picking our favorite part of the property. Our mornings started off with enjoying a very well stocked coffee bar that included K-cup options, ground coffee and if you wanted, you could grind your own fresh coffee or you could choose hot chocolate or hot tea. We would then enjoy the hot tub while listening to the relaxing sound of the beautiful pool waterfall. Plunging into the invigorating pool and then walking out to the front of the house to watch deer was next on our routine. We would then relax in one of many sitting areas located throughout the property taking in the amazing views and even enjoyed an evening of football on the outdoor tv. The kitchen was well stocked with every thing you could possibly need and had room for all of us to gather and share family stories. The game room was enjoyed throughout the day with shuffleboard, foosball, and air hockey. Board games, along with corn hole outside, provided even more entertainment for all. As we settled in at night, we enjoyed comfortable beds and well stocked toiletries. Thank you for over promising AND more importantly over delivering!!! We will be back!

My family and I rented this property to celebrate my Mom's 80th Birthday. Everyone in our party was amazed at how beautiful this house was - and perfect for families! We spent tons of time in the pool and hot tub area, and there were lots of lounging areas outside including an outdoor TV and grill. Plenty of board games as well as air hockey, shuffleboard and foosball made activities inside easy to find. The owner was super helpful and we ended up using most of their recommendations for restaurants, bakery, photographer, etc. Owner was also very communicative and quick to respond to give us information. Plenty of bedrooms with large comfortable beds. I would highly recommend this property for families looking for a nice relaxing vacation in a gorgeous setting!

My kids, kids-in-law, and 6 grandchildren stayed at “Fancy Like” and had a wonderful time! The house was perfect, the pool was great, and had every single amenity we could possibly need! The hosts Jonathan and Valarie were so helpful and any time I had a question, responded almost immediately. While there we rented a pontoon boat with a slide on the beautiful waters of Canyon Lake. Fancy Like has more features and amenities than I can list though these were our favorites: 1. Sleep! Our Roommate Reunion crew and kids slept so well on super comfortable beds, fresh and crisp sheets, and fluffy pillows! 2. Pool! We spent big chunks of time in the gorgeous pool. 3. Kitchen! The kitchen is huge, has a spacious counter, and drawers/cabinets filled with everything needed to cook — just bring your own food! 4. Communication! The hosts are extremely responsive and thorough in their local recommendations. 5. Lounge Areas! There are several options with comfortable seating all over the grounds. We had an incredible time and greatly enjoyed our stay at Fancy Like.

We had the best time! Jonathan and Valarie thought of everything when it comes to entertainment and comfort. We felt like we were in our own private resort. The house was beautiful and comfortable. There was plenty of space for everyone. We loved being able to look out the window and see the deer resting in the yard.

With three generations of our family staying together, it can sometimes be hard to please everyone, but that wasn't the case at this property. There was something for everyone! We loved the pool (especially the waterfall), the game room, the visiting deer, and the organization that made the property easy to use. Jonathan and Valerie were always helpful as hosts, too!

Jonathan and Valerie have a beautiful well kept home. We loved all the details they put into there home. They even had feminine products and toothbrushes available ! Beautiful peaceful yard with beautiful views! A lot of space and good storage! Loved the location... it was next to the golf course and the lake.

This wonderful house is spacious on a big lot, has a lot of very comfortable beds, and the hosts have provided so many extra things for guests. Coffee, K-pods, wonderful shampoo/conditioner, body wash, soaps, lotions. In bathrooms (great showers) they have hair dryers, even extra travel toothbrushes. There are many pots and pans - everything you need. And an ice machine and filtered water! THE POOL/SPA is wonderful, always heated. Our teenagers were in it every day and night, whether it was 80 degrees or 55! And most of the adults, too! The game room is a fun room - our family loved the shuffleboard game - someone (ages 12 to 70's) was always playing it. We had a marvelous time here and we will go back!

Fancy Like was a beautiful setting for our family Christmas gathering! The home was decorated for the holidays and had plenty of gathering spaces with a variety of entertainment options. We enjoyed the air hockey table, board games, the hot tub, and cornhole. Couple of points to note - the casita does not have its own bathroom - one of the full baths is outside the main house, a short walk from the casita; the 2 large bedrooms each have 2 beds and the other bedrooms in the main house are more like a large area divided into 3 smaller areas with privacy curtains (great for kids!). The beds in the 2 large bedrooms are very comfortable and all of the linens are high quality. Same quality is found in the very well-stocked bathrooms and kitchen. Jonathan and Valarie are attentive, communicative hosts with great attention to detail. We loved visiting Fancy Like!

One of the best rental experiences we have ever had. The hosts send emails every few days building up to your stay answering any questions you may have even though they provide extensive information on the house and area. House was extremely clean and well stocked with everything that any family would need. The only thing we could have asked for was better weather but that wasn't in our hands. We plan on visiting again.

We loved this place! Beautiful outdoor areas with lots of privacy. Plenty of space and well organized. Lots of attention to detail and cleanliness. The kids loved playing with all the games and swimming in the pool. I loved relaxing on the cozy furniture outside and the hot tub. It was a win all around.
