Close to family fun

The house is clean and spacious, and the location is super close to Tahoe Donner!

Was a nice big house that fulfilled all of our needs.

The place was comfortably spacious. We were only a couple minutes from Downhill Ski Resort and 20 minutes from Donner Ski Ranch. There was a large area in the back of the house where the kids could play in the snow. The fireplace in the living room made the stay cozy. However, there were some aspects of our stay that were less than desirable. Some of the plates were dirty with old food on them and the pillowcases in at least two of the bedrooms smelled like unwashed hair. One of the full bathrooms is in the kids’ room, and inaccessible from one of the main bedrooms. This might have been made more explicit on the listing. Most importantly, the heater did not work for 3 of the 4 days we were there. The thermostat read 50 degrees F at one point. We texted and called the property manager who promised to come by to fix it but they never did. Thank goodness we managed to get a fire going in the fireplace. Otherwise, it would have been uncomfortable indoors.

We had a great time staying here at the cabin. There were 3 families and 4 kids - all the kids slept in the 'dorm' room with plenty of room for all. We were also able to have them use the TV upstairs for movies while the adults enjoyed dinner downstairs. The surrounding area is beautiful and we used the grill and cooked all weekend. The oven looks brand new and worked great. We also went to the pool at the club- just FYI it's 20/person for everyone over the age of 7 which was a bit steeper than we had expected.

It is a five star sanctuary for serenity and enjoyment!!! The property is well designed and felt luxurious in its comfort because it is genuinely comfortable, like a well-loved pair of designer clothing. The cathedral ceilings provide awesome views of the pine trees and golf fairway, which, although still feels private, creates interest when people are playing through. I felt like I was in a country chic boutique hotel. You can see in the photos, the interior architecture is unique, incredible and beautiful. The ceilings and views give it the feel of a sanctuary. One could relax in the living room or on the deck enjoying the bucolic views for hours! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the master bedroom is chic and large. The master bathroom is large and feels like a spa with a huge shower and terrific water pressure. The deck is ample and relaxing. The kitchen has everything one needs to prepare meals. It's spacious, uncluttered, and in the ample cabinetry there are an abundance of pots and pans, cooking utensils, serving ware, etc. The oven and microwave oven appeared to be new. The kitchen has a modern floor plan, so it opens to the rest of the living space, which makes it social and friendly. The furniture and carpets are in excellent condition and were clean. The smell is phenomenal. Everything worked well! I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to relax in this peaceful, mountain chic sanctuary of a home. Very spacious, this is an ideal place to reconnect with a grandchild or grandchildren on an intimate family retreat. One could sit inside all day happily, enjoying the incredible mountain air and views, yet there are so many hikes for every ability, and activities like horse riding lessons, bike trails, swimming in the Donner Lake or Lake Tahoe. I experienced a phenomenal park in the community with views of the lake that were incredible. I took another hike near the equestrian center and saw amazing flora and fauna. I am very happy and excited about the photos I took--they are phenomenal, and my children loved them. It is an ideal place to create happy, lasting memories. This property is designed to foster intimate and healthy human connections. It creates an atmosphere where one can relax, integrate, renew, and connect and reconnect!!! What a joy and blessing to have experienced this home!!! Ski View Adventure home is highly recommended!!! I hope future guests enjoy it too!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!
