Lovely hotel. Extra friendly staff who spoke good English. I asked for an iron and was given one straight away. In the middle of the city by the port. Perfect for exploring and shopping. I will be returning and have already recommended to others.

The hotel is right in the centre of Caen, convenient location close to restaurants and bars. The room we had was quite small, but clean and comfortable.
There is parking under the hotel so very convenient but its expensive, the spaces are small and we couldn't open the car boot fully with the low ceiling in parts of the car park.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Arrived during thunderstorm, tired and hungry. Details when booking had said room service was available for hot meals and cold snacks. Asked on arrival and told there was no food or even a hot drink available so were directed to nearby restaurant. Had to walk in pouring rain to get food. Would not use again

Standard ibis. Room as expected. Clean with comfortable bed and linens. Excellent central location. Lidl only a few minutes walk along Marina and river. Historic sights easy walking distances. Train about 20 min.

Great location, expensive for size of the room. No shower gel in the dispenser and house keeping did nothing during our 2 night stay other than change the wet towels.

very nice place, very well located and easily reachable through the nearby tram and bus stops. lots of walkable streets and food options on walking distance. their breakfast buffet is good. their food options are also ok, but the menu is quite short. the staff are quite friendly and helpful.

A bit tired looking in the bedrooms , bar ok but super expensive , situated nicely all in all ok for a bed and tub and nice shower

Very friendly staff and easy check in process. There was only one outlet in the room for two adults which was highly inconvenient - not even one in the bathroom! AC worked great!

Location is great and staff were friendly... but... room small and very tired. Bathroom smelt of pooling water. Not enough towels. The a/c was set by the hotel at 19 degrees. Freezing cold, but somehow the bed was hot. Didn't sleep well. Breakfast was OK. However the bar!! Saturday night we went out to eat, came back at 8:40, bar closed, despite saying open until 10:30. The bar served Ibis and Mercure. Who closes the bar at 840 on a Saturday?!

The staff here were fab. The girl on reception was so helpful and made us very welcome . Hotel a bit shabby ,could do with a polish up.

Have stayed before. Location good with onsite parking. But getting shabby. No in room safe or tea making facilities. TV would not play BBC channel as listed and the ability to change to original language or English sub-titles was disabled

The hotel staff was the friendliest I encountered during the present tour of France. Unfortunately the hotel was smelling bad in more than one room. We suspect humidity, and staff in the morning actually admitttd the hotel smelled due to humidity

very small rooms, no room even for a suitcase, compared to other ibis hotels this was the worst we have ever stayed in. We will definitely not be going back to this place. The service was very nice and helpful, this is the only advantage of this stay.

At check in our reservation was not coded correctly (the type of room). Also, it wasn't clear from the site that parking was an additional 12E.
It was very strange that the front desk was 'closed' and the reception was managed at the adjacent hotel.
The room we were eventually given, to match the reservation, had no towels and it was 'tiny'.

Hotel location was perfect and looked all good from the outside and in the reception/bar and restaurant.
The room were very worn out and needs an urgent upgrade.
Lack of a water heater for coffee/tea only available in the lobby.

Older hotel in a fabulous location and shares a bar space with Mercure hotel next door. So convenient and staff were really helpful. Quiet too so easy to get a good sleep.

The property was fine and in line with its prospectus. The room was a little cramped and smelt of cigarette smoke (even though it was a non smoking room and the staff made a big effort to rectify the problem. The absence of facilities in the room (eg coffee making) was disappointing. But the hotel was modestly priced and well situated.
