Staff went over and above to accommodate when I asked for things like a wall plugin converter, an iron. Only complaint was having to pay for the continental breakfast. There wasn’t much there so I don’t even feel like it should have cost the 10p.

Hotel is In a good area, bar & restaurant decent. Rooms in the hotel are very tired and dated, it's like a step back into the 80s. Would not stay here again.

Wonderful stay, brilliant room and fabulous food, must return

Great value for money. A spacious double room with a generous tea/coffee tray. Plenty of storage. Full choice of TV channels and good signal for the free wifi. The hotel location is excellent. Great parking and easy access. Central location and a great place to tour the rest of Norfolk (Cambridge and Suffolk) from if that's what you fancy. The mattress isn't as comfy as Premier Inn, and the decor a little dated, but that's part of it's Fawlty Towers style appeal. I would happily stay here again.

The Hotel was a bit dated and could do with being upgrading in the Bathroom and in main room. Overall, the stay was pleasant enough. Breakfast was very good a lot of choice. No electric charging points. Shower on last day was not warm, so missed having a shower. Overall stay, I would use this hotel again.

Lovely two night stay for us with our two dogs at the George hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean although it would've been helpful to have a grab rail in the shower for us 'oldies'.

Needs a serious refurb. Shower and toilet were both awful.

The George Hotel is a lovely old building with helpful staff and I enjoyed my stay here. Full marks for providing a locked room to store bicycles in; slightly fewer marks for also hosting a large wedding party, though it's good to see business coming their way. I was surprised to find on my departure that I had already paid for my stay; apparently that was done on booking in, but without telling me or giving me a receipt. I'm quite happy with paying at that point, but it would have been good to know.

The lady behind reception was very polite and considerate however the lady in charge at the the bar and dinner was extremely rude and abrasive. No drinking water is supplied by the hotel. The site is run down and needs a good uplift, carpets have not been cleaned in years, wooden floor boards seem like they could fail at any time and staircases handrails could fail at any time. I could go on and on. I’d never recommend this hotel to anyone!

Had a very good experience and the staff were excellent especially in trying to sort out minor issues. Special thanks to the maintenance man who sorted out our tv. Please feed this back to the staff.

friendly staff, lovely food from the restaurant, comfy bed & spacious room. If I was staying more than the one night I would have asked to change rooms as the water pressure in the shower was very low, but was OK for 1 night

Hotel room was poor. Bed was hard and the pillows were cheap with no support for sleeping. Shower with very low water pressure. The shower stand which was attached to wall fell off. Mould was around shower tray. Also no toilet brush. We could not sleep in room not just because of the bed. It was far to hot in room and couldn't turn the radiator down. Managed to force window open but the view was where they washed linen. Also staff were standing next to outside window smoking so obviously the smell of cigarettes came into our room. Will not be recommending thus hotel to our friends. Hotel manager did however not charge us for the night we were there. Staff very hardworking and helpful.

Booked in for 1 night after a day out in Thetford. First impression wasn’t great as car park sign was pointing the opposite direction so had no idea where car park was. I was then having to park up the road in public car park. Hotel is nice and staff very friendly. My issue came when I went into the room. It was so hot. I opened the window which looked onto the road junction and this cooled it slightly. However trying to sleep in a hot room next to a road junction isn’t great. I didn’t have the best nights sleep

Quiet

Not the greatest hotel we've ever been in but by no means the worst either. Small hints of damp on the walls in our room (top floor) and the wardrobe wasn't the best, but fine apart from that. Staff at breakfast seemingly not always aware of who had ordered their cooked options.

It was OK for an overnight stay as we needed somewhere close to Sandringham for a concert. Good FREE parking. Very nice breakfast with lots of choice.

The hotel itself is in need of a refurb. But for 1 night away it was acceptable. There was black mould around the bath and the shower head was clogged up with limescale. The room itself needed redecorating and a new bathroom. The bed was nice and big but rock hard so we hardly slept. It was like trying to sleep on the floor. We both had to have painkillers in the morning due to the discomfort. I did point all this out to reception on check out. On the plus side the breakfast was good.

The hotel was fine, not impressed when the breakfast, juice always needed refilling, having to make your own toast.

PARKING ON SITE VERY CONVIENIENT

A very comfortable stay with great food and a wide selection of ales, easy parking and access to EV charge points in near by car park.
