Gavin is the valet attendant. He is such a nice hard working young man. Also Carmen our room attendant always greeted and my dog with a smile. Amd let’s not forget Cameron and Wren! Best bartenders ever!

Lovely grounds, nice pools. However, they are critically understaffed, particularly in the lobby bar. We went there Saturday around lunchtime for a snack and later for a late dinner and drinks. The only server both times was the same woman. That is unthinkable to me on a busy weekend. She was doing her best but that’s just not appropriate. The room looked a little dated, the security latch on the door was barely screwed in like someone had forced their way into the room previously. The TV kept shutting itself off. We checked to see if the sleep timer was on. It wasn’t. You’d have to turn the TV back on to the Mario Lopez hotel channel then try to find what you were watching. Frustrating. The room safe malfunctioned. They sent a guy up pretty quickly to fix it, but sheesh. Great location, but they need to try a little harder for the money.

Great property! This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Great location in Newport for I nice getaway.

Beautiful property

Hi, my name is Hailey Rehfeld and I stayed at the Hyatt Newport Beach last night. I don’t usually like to complain, but I wasn’t very satisfied with our stay. For how much we spent I expected the beds to be more of a double size and now a small twin. We ordered 2 drinks to our room and they got there more than an hour later we then went to the restaurant to order food to the pool and she did say it would take about 15 to 20 minutes because they were busy and it never got there. I then go back up to ask how much longer and she said they still haven’t started it yet and that it would still be another long wait. there was also two weddings going on at the same time and they were blaring music and making it hard to sleep. We also got charged a resort fee which is fine but it says “to enhance the guest experiences” which that didn’t happen. again I usually don’t like to complain, but I had higher expectations for the amount I paid. Overall, the staff was great, but I wasn’t very happy with some of the other things that occurred, especially for how much money we spent on one night thought I should say something to let you know I really Hope I will get a response back Thank you

It’s getting old it needs to be renovated. we stayed in a room near the pool. It was well used and look like it.

This is our go to hotel for our annual trip to Newport. This property is close to the beach, has 3 great pools, has a restaurant and breakfast bar in the morning, has a bar which provides pool service at the main pool. The customer service here has always been 5 star. Love this place.

There were hundreds of ants all over our room and they got all in our luggage/bags. Ants crawling all over the door inside and outside of the room. The rooms were small and the property in general seemed outdated and unkempt.

I had marvelous time I will go back again very nice hotel.

Way to many hidden fees. From the room to parking this stay cost almost $140 more than budgeted.

They need to update rooms. Grounds are much nicer than rooms

The toilet was so close to the shower I could hardly fit. The lighting was terrible in the whole entire unit. Very disappointing for Hyatt.

The hotel was great . Grounds were very well kept and the pools were nice. The only downside was asked for patio view and ended up with a patio view of hedges . Could not see the bay or ocean .

Open and spacious properly revolving around an attractive, inviting pool. A lot of restaurant and outdoor spaces to sit in and relax outside very comfortable hotel rooms.

Can understand why no cofffe pot can be delivered to the room

This hotel is in dire need of an update. The rooms are terribly outdated and look more like a motel room than a Hyatt Hotel. Definitely could be cleaner, and have better complimentary toiletries. This is a two star property enjoying a three star rating.

The restaurants on property were very nice. The service was great. The English waiter at the restaurant was excellent!! All the restaurant service was great!

We had a bad experience with the stuff, very unprofessional and rude also the bed sheets and covers were not washed, it had food stains and urine stains all over. Asked for new sets of bedding sheets and covers it still was not washed had dirt spots and urine spots. It's says dog friendly yet if your dog barks once the stuff calls and complains with rude comments, even tough we always took our dog with us wherever we went. Due to our discomfort and mistreatment of the stuff we left a day early. Had a horrible experience at this stay and I would not recommend anyone to stay at this property.

2 hour free bike rental you can ride by beach but check in was late

For the price we paid I had higher expectations of this property. On arrival at check in we were told that on top of the high daily resort fee we also had a $40 daily parking fee. When we eventually got to our room we were immediately greeted by a smell of old carpet, the room really needed updating. This hotel is over priced for what it is.

Overall the property was nice looking. The pool was family friendly and I enjoyed the depth of the pool options. The rooms looked clean and upgraded. Guest check in and check out were kind agents. My only quarrel was that there were ants in our room. Not an infestation but enough for us to kill, keep all of our bags off the floor, and food wrapped up. I did let the front desk know upon check out and she shared that with the rain the ants come out more. I think if we stayed more than one night I would’ve requested another room. But other than that, the stay for one night was fine.

This property is great for families. The three pools and a water slide will keep your kids busy. They also have complimentary bikes. The resort is walking distance to Newport Dunes where you can enjoy paddle boarding. Great location! I would recommend this resort.

Since our room was neat elevator, it was very noisy all day and sometime we can feel the vibration. The room itself was outdated and needs more improvement, consider the price we paid for the stay.

The service was very slow, the food was sub par, the workers were very nice and the room was clean. It was SUPER noisy at night.

The hotel was lovely and staff is extremely friendly

Overall good property with lots of things to do for families. When walking to the rooms it looks like an old apartment complex from the karate kid movie. However the pool was great. When you walk into the rooms they are great, clean and good beds. Rooms are updated and nice.

Expensive for parking although we love this area and walkable to balboa island

Noisy, I was in the back building which is really run down. Lots of people in pool yelling most of the evening. OLD DECOR Will not stay again
