Comfortable room and great location. You have to request that you room gets cleaned and need a sign to do that. Strange water stain on the ceiling of my room.

I booked this hotel for my family who came from out of town for my son's graduation. I booked and paid for the room - so, I went to the hotel early to check them in and to put a gift basket in their room. The front desk assured me that they would have it in the room when my guests arrived. It was not there.. and it was placed in someone elses room that they then had to retrieve.
Their elevator was not working on several days and we had two handicapped people who could not climb stairs.
Their breakfast area closes early and the food takes forever to get.
Ashley at the front desk was amazing but the others were awful and were very rude to guests.
For a 4 person room, they offered two towlels and four hangers. We had to make multiple requests for them to give us more.
The toilet clogged several times in the room and they asked my 80 year old mother to use the public restroom in the lobby instead.
10 days of hell. Try another property. This one may be located in Calabasas - but this is not a Calabasas quality business.

This place has become my regular hotel when in the area. They’re consistently good, clean and helpful. Every room has a sitting area and nice conveniences. The hotel even has a robot that rolls around and takes the elevator and delivers towels and other items to your room. It’s a very polite robot. Also, you literally can’t beat the location of this hotel, with great restaurants, stores, nightlife actually right outside the front door. Have stayed many time and will stay many more.

Very comfortable and quiet. Easy check in and friendly staff. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

I booked the 3 bedroom suite for a bachelorette party months ago; over time, I confirmed info about what was in the space, including in the kitchen, having a DVD player, etc. When I arrived, there were no towels, dish soap, or hand soap; the AC wasn't working; I found 6 glasses and 1 wine glass in the kitchen; there was no bedding on/for the pullout couch; and no DVD player. I called down to the desk four separate times to acquire the necessary items that were missing (all of which were provided except the DVD player that I had previously confirmed was regularly in the room). Without the DVD player, there was only Netflix and YouTube as streaming applications, and the remote was very difficult to use. Overall, we had a good time because of our group, but there were multiple challenges. While the photos of the room on the website are accurate, they are insufficient to represent the space and are misleading. Parking at the hotel was plentiful and easy.

Great location- noise most of the people there - maybe are renting like an apartment
Too much noise and slamming of doors through out the night

Right in the heart of The Commons. Perfect location for dining, and entertainment. Great rates for the accommodation's. Finally, it’s pet friendly.

We’ve stayed here before and it was exceptional. This time around was far from it. A lot of poor cleanliness and upkeep of the room was totally preventable with proper care. We had to move rooms 2 times during our check in. We have kids and we were exhausted from a long road trip.we had to move rooms due to windows being left open and bugs were flying and crawling everywhere in the rooms. There’s no screens on the windows. And there’s AC. So there was no need for the cleaners to leave windows open for bugs to run about. Secondly The floors and rugs were disgusting. We asked for our room to be swept out multiple times to avail. The rugs have stains. The rooms also need to be mopped but that may be asking them for too much. On our last day we had to change rooms again due to finding a couple grasshoppers hopping around when we returned from dinner. We love coming to calabasas and hope they hotel does better next time

Very nice! Comforting beds!

Lots of stuff in room is broken or run down. The AC wasn’t working and window doesn’t open, so it was very stuffy. You have to pay $15 a night for parking. Staff is kind of hard to get a hold of as well. It’s next to shopping which is nice

We've stayed here several times and always had a great experience. This last stay the room temperature was very warm. Maintenance came to the room, but was unable to fix it. It was going to be very hot, or very cold, so the only choice was to turn it off. It didn't totally ruin our stay, but a discount on the room would have been a good gesture for a returning customer.

The hotel was in a great location, great staff and very friendly. The only downside was the shower with no door with the water pressure all the water went outside of the shower regardless if you were careful or not. Also not hot water 2 days in a row. The AC unit was not working and had to call to get it fixed. It fixed within minutes of the call.

Such a respite from the craziness that has become our world.
We love this place!

Worst cleaning service. My room was never cleaned for 75% of my stay even after going downstairs and speaking to the concierge. Excuse after excuse. They only came to make the bed and even then, the sheets were never changed.

I really enjoyed the spacious rooms. I did not appreciate the nightly parking fees, and especially only finding out about those extra fees after I arrived.

This was our second stay here. Much better than the first one. Front desk is very pleasant and accommodating. The room was clean except for the used tea pod in the coffee machine. After I checked in I found online that if you have AAA your parking fee is waived. We’ll see if it gets waived after the fact. I would stay here again. Very convenient for us to get to Kaiser Medical center.

Great location! Walking distance to dining, coffeeshops, shops and grocery stores. Our room was clean but the highlight of our stay was the tall, jovial and very friendly cleaning guy. He made not just us, I heard him interact with other guests, very welcome. Sadly I forgot to ask his name

The front desk was amazingly friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The cleanliness needs some work. There were some unmentionables stashed under the bathroom sink area apparently left by a previous customer, our room was near the front lobby and there was a radio of some sort that was playing all night long. At first I thought it might have been a bar down the street, but it was on well past closing time. Parking was only $15 a night which compared to other places seemed reasonable. It is also walking distance to several places to eat.
We have to go back next week and not sure if we will stay there again. We did let them know about the music and “presents” under the sink.

The air conditioning in the room didn’t work - I had it on full blast and the room got *hotter* over the course of three hours. I tried calling the front desk and was on hold for ten minutes and no one picked up. I couldn’t sleep either night due to the heat.
Additionally, the remote control for the tv wasn’t working. I couldn’t exit or return to menu or turn the volume down or even turn the tv off on the second night. I had to unplug the tv just to turn it off and go to sleep.
Vert disappointed in it. It looks nice and is well-furnished and designed but the substance is poor.

The HVAC did not work properly. It would not heat past 68 degrees in January with outside temps in the 50's. The engineer came & said a component that worked the cold/heat was not working. He set it to heat only. He told me to give it 40 minutes to see if it warmed the room. It was able to get the temp to 72 degrees when set at 90 degrees. I could change rooms if it didn't work. I got an extra blanket, so will hope it holds during the night.

The room is pleasant and clean. Trying to be stylish though one of the lamps has no real purpose. Overall comfortable with a little flair. The employees were all very friendly and nice, no issues with those working there.
The other guests on the other hand… when we returned to the hotel after dinner, crossing past some rooms we had to deal with a cloud of marijuana that smelled terrible all the way to our room and managed to linger on our clothing. Around 11pm a large group of children ran down the hallway yelling and laughing. Luckily they simmered down in a few minutes.
I think the guests here are just a little rowdy and not my personal preference.

The property is a good spot. I was traveling with my dog and the staff was great on all accounts. The room was very nice and bigger than most hotels that fall into the price range. It was a bit unclear when I got there where to take my dog for their bathroom breaks but there are a lot of places nearby. Overall a great place to stay.

Location is unbeatable, and the staff is very friendly. The hotel is clean and rooms are very large with comfortable beddings and furniture. The shower water pressure is very weak, and the bathroom could use a little renovation.

This was my first time staying at the Anza in Calabasas, and I will NEVER return. I was given a connecting room for my 4-night stay—I wish I had immediately walked out. I felt like I had zero privacy and a complete lack of restful sleep. I could hear EVERY. SINGLE. WORD. the people next door were saying. After 2 nights of hell, I went to the front desk to ask if the room next door would be occupied for the rest of my stay, because in that case, I needed to be assigned a new room. The woman at reception couldn't even figure out how to locate where my room was. She was asking ME what room was next to me. She tried to find a map of the hotel by emptying every drawer at the reception desk. I walked away without a resolution and she did not even offer to follow up. That night things got even worse—there was a large group of partiers staying on my floor, playing supper loud music and walking up and down the hallway shouting. We also got NEW people in the connecting room, who proceeded to play heavy metal music at full volume, at 7:20am!!!!! I immediately went to the front desk and asked for a new room. Although the employee seemed more capable and offered an apology, she told me there was nothing she could do, and that I should ask again later that day. Also, there is ONE elevator to service the entire building—mindblowing.
1 star because the room decor was decent. Aside from that, the atmosphere and customer service at this hotel are terrible quality. A hard pass for me.

Unfortunately I didn’t receive the room I booked and ended up in a room with two queens instead of a king. We chose this hotel because that was the confirmable option. In the room, the window was open and one bed had many bugs in it. Staff didn’t do much about adjusting the room other than offering to find us a hotel. Traveling with an infant this just doesn’t work. Ignoring all of that, the hotel was fine?

Great location, however backs up to freeway and they will try and upcharge you for a non-freeway room (still a standard room). No generator, so if elec goes out ur loss and no comp, old and feels run down, hallways all slant like a rocky cruise boat, cleaning is only on demand, H2o is scalding w no regulator…in a pinch this place works but not a great value.

The room set up was perfect for our family.

There was a weird smell in the lobby when you went in. The rooms were paper thin and you could hear all the noise from next door and in the halls. The bed had stains on the covers, the curtain had a beetle type bug on it, the iPad thing didn’t work, the bathroom felt gross (not clean, slapped together). And they charged for parking! In the morning I went down to their cafe and was told they didn’t have coffee but that could be made but it would take 5-10min.
It felt like an old hotel that was trying to be posh but couldn’t meet the standard or redeem itself. I won’t stay there again - it’s too expensive for what they offer.
But downtown Calabasas is super cute!
