Splurge and spend a little extra money to stay at a different hotel. The receptionist was very sweet, but this was one of the grossest hotels I’ve ever been in. After an hour of sitting in the hotel room, not wanting to set my bag anywhere or take my shoes off, I packed up and went to the AmericInn in Pequot Lakes, which is extremely clean. The Nisswa Inn & Suites has so much potential to be a lovely hotel. Someone needs to buy it and revamp, or the owners need to invest some time and money into it. I wish I had read all other reviews before wasting money.

Every room i've booked through Expedia, has had something wrong with it. What gives?! Last 1, pool had been down for months. MONTHS!! This place, hot tub is down. Do better Expedia!! Update your page.

Was very musty, smelling as pets are allowed. If you’re very sensitive to smell, wouldn’t recommend . No smoking is allowed. No smoking is allowed unfortunately, other guests did not abide by that rule

I love the area …so I’d like to stay again…. But no pool, tub, no room tub… no working TV. A bit smelly. Maybe compromise on the price if those things aren’t available that are in the listing. Ben more old be forgiven. When I try again I guess ll ask more questions.

Good stay, Room was clean. Air cond worked well, bed was comfortable. Overall Ok. Wish the hot Tub had been working.

Sink didn’t drain, toilet was loose, gum under table, no sheet on the bed, night lock on door wouldn’t lock. When I complained to manager, they said they’ll have to talk to housekeeping, no offer of any discount on the room. We were ready to go sleep in our car!

The staff did not have a clue as to what to do. They had no ice machine. My TV didn’t work. I would definitely not recommend anybody to go to this place to stay. The carpets were filthy. Left a day early and she didn’t even know how to credit my charge card so now I’m waiting to make sure that it got credited and if I didn’t, I will be making a phone call to the manager

I’m requesting Expedia’s assistance in getting my money refunded for my stay on August 16th and 17th. The mattress had a disgusting blood like stain on it that we discovered on the morning of the 18th because the sheets came off the bed. Management was made aware of the mattress on the 18th when we checked out but the manager, Julie was out until 4:00. I called and talked to Julie on the 18th at 5:00, she said she needed to talk to the owner on Monday the 19th and she would call me. Julie never called me and I called again on the 19th, 20th and finally on the 21st I called again and Julie answered the phone and told me that she talked to the owner on the 19th but wouldn’t do anything. Personally, I don’t think Julie talked to the owner. This mattress needs to be removed from the hotel so no one else sleeps on it. I paid $350 a night and I want a full refund. I’m can send you a picture of the mattress. Please advise and thank you. Toni

The room was in poor repair.

The breakfast was terrible needs alot of work. Only one little soap in the room. The bed mattress was shaped like a V (OMG) very bad. Keys stopped working for the room.

Despite having other rooms in acceptable conditions, we were placed on second floor without elevators for strollers we had. Worse of all, the room had a funny smell. The fitted sheets do not fit the bed. The furniture is ancient. The beds are squeaky. The mattress and box spring had some nauseating stain, which apparently they knew about but decided not to take care of. I literally almost committed when I saw the stain. The surrounding has tall grass and the trash was full and overflowing. I felt like because we were people of color, we were directed to the worst room of unacceptable condition. Take caution when you reserve this place. You may not have a peaceful night.

The room reeks of pee. The got water doesn't work and another room the TV doesn't work. They told me to just open the window.

The hot tub was barely warmer than the pool. The continental breakfast was super minimal. The waffle mix container was empty. Pastries consisted of two donut holes in a plastic bag.

Loved the pool, staff were wonderful

We stayed for 4 nights. The staff were all fantastic. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be staying again. No bedbugs and no cockroaches as other have said. Our room was clean and tidy when we arrived. The pool and hot tib both worked well while we were there. They have guest laundry options which was nice. Overall, it was a great stay for us.

Hot tub was a real disappointment since the jets hardly worked. Room met our needs fine. Several breakfast items were missing. We had to ask for fresh coffee to be made. afteryesterday

There are no elevators and it was really difficult for my elderly mother who was visiting.

I was very disappointed in a couple of things. There were five of us in a family suite. The bathroom was so tiny, that it was difficult to get in and out. With three children to bathe, it became quite tight to assist them. Also, the description of the room said there would be a pull-out sofa. We found a futon, which was not very comfortable. The breakfast left something to be desired. I don't tend to be one to complain, but with the cost of the room, I feel we should have had what was listed. I apologize for my negative complaints. The area is quiet, and safe.

The whole place had an odor that was overpowering of cleaner. Like they were trying to cover other smells with air freshener and cleaning products. Also what they were charging was way more than what is listed on the rate card in the rooms. $130 was the max price on the rate card. We were charged over $200 each night. The continental breakfast was a joke. We had to get breakfast elsewhere as the option were limited and what was available looked uneditable. The locks were not working well with the key cards, sometimes it took several swipes to open the doors. The bedding was old and worn out and the bed spread was the only blanket and was gross. I would never stay at this place or recommend it to anyone. It was disgusting. As a company promoting and helping sell rooms for these properties, Expedia should be doing an audit of what they offer. The pictures of our room looked nothing like what they show on-line.
